I don't see where this would be beneficial for me. I don't even have a pay pal account. I've never needed it so I don't miss it. Actually I like to make it hard to spend money. I only have one credit card but I never use it. And no I don't make a lot of money. I'm just careful and I sleep well at night.

Here's what I don't understand - BESIDE the social media aspect, how is Venmo different from PayPal? Are there any practical differences (in terms of ease of use, flexibility, etc) between paying someone through Venmo instead of PayPal?

Sounds useless considering my bank doesn't charge any fees. Even if I overdraft it pulls from savings if necessary with no fees!

Correct me if I'm wrong but unless you enter in your bank account or routing number, it still costs a small fee to transfer money from Venmo to your debit card ? And if it is so, is it safer to enter your routing number so all is known is that specific account and not your whole banking account ? And also, for entering routing number, IF something happens, you can only transfer money to routing number like some jobs need that number or your healthcare reimburse you but you cannot take money out with just a routing number so therefore it is safer than putting a whole account in ? Thanks.
I’m not quite sure I understand your question.
There is a 1% fee to transfer funds from venmo to a debit card with a minimum of 25 cents, and a maximum of $10 deducted from the amount transferred. If you transfer funds to a bank account you need both the routing number and bank account number in order to do so. Venmo uses encryption methods to protect your personal information and they never share your information with any third party affiliates. You can not transfer funds from venmo to a credit card or PayPal period. I hope this addresses all of your concerns.

@@aimabietdautroi They can not take funds out of your account without your consent. You can not deposit funds from Venmo into your bank account without both the routing number and the account number. I have never heard of anyone being able to make a deposit with just a routing number.

its really not good because you cant just put the money on the debit card you have to transfer it to a bank which takes 3 days.
If you have a Venmo card that you could use like a debit card, that would be different but it takes too long to transfer money to the bank, it also asks for a social security number which I don't feel comfortable giving out. Lastly Joe Biden passed laws that any transactions $600 or less are going to audit, tax go after people. It does leave a trail a "tax trail" and if someone is paying me back for something I lent to them, I don't feel I should have to pay taxes on that. I don't recommend Venmo or PayPal. Paypal is racist and a hate company.
