I can say, regarding the Body Blade, actively recovering from rotator cuff surgery (fully torn supraspinatus and partially torn infraspinatus) the Body Blade killed my ass in PT. Basically my shoulder has to re-learn how to move and COMPLETELY rebuild strength. As a PT and recovery “apparatus” this has worked VERY well - but I have to agree, using my “good arm”, the Body Blade is not a challenge. That said, the Body Blade has it’s purpose, but general fitness Is not its purpose.
I’m a student PT and we have a bodyblade in our classroom! Definitely not for general fitness haha. But holding out the bodyblade in front of you with shoulder flexed to 90 and elbow extended, using just your scapula to retract/protract, it can be pretty challenging 😅
A lot of seemingly silly tools are adaptive ones, not for general public needs. Like devices to help put socks on. Most folks don't need it and it looks silly - but some people have severely limited mobility and need it.

@@Tara_Masika Tape worms suck I had one that I could have gotten from when My family and I went to India didnt even know I had it until I started feeling tired and weak I lost 36lbs even though I was eating a lot when I went to the doctor he didnt many tests couldn't find anything until my parents said we went to India for a few weeks and after a few more tests I found out I had a large ass tape worm in my gut it was nearly 9ft long. And they found 4 others in other parts of the body they removed during surgery luckily those were smaller.
To assess the credibility of the TH-cam comment about tapeworms, we need to examine the medical and factual aspects more closely: 1. Travel to India and Parasitic Infections: India is indeed a country where the risk of parasitic infections, including tapeworms (e.g., Taenia solium or Taenia saginata), is higher than in many Western countries. 2. Symptoms and Diagnosis: The symptoms described-fatigue, weakness, and weight loss-are consistent with a tapeworm infection. However, a thorough doctor's visit and specific tests like stool sample analysis or blood tests would typically identify a tapeworm infection, especially if travel to a high-risk area is mentioned. 3. Tapeworm Length: A tapeworm can indeed grow very long. For example, Taenia saginata can reach up to 10 meters. The mentioned length of 9 feet (about 2.7 meters) is plausible. 4. Multiple Tapeworms in the Body: It is less common for a person to have multiple large tapeworms in different parts of the body simultaneously. Tapeworms usually reside in the intestines, and having multiple adult tapeworms in various body parts is rare. 5. Surgical Removal: Tapeworms are typically not removed surgically. Treatment usually involves antihelminthic medications (drugs that kill worms). Surgical intervention would only be necessary if there are complications, such as blockages or other mechanical problems. Overall, the comment contains some elements that are realistic and believable, such as the symptoms and the length of the tapeworm. Other aspects, like the simultaneous infection with multiple large tapeworms and surgical removal, seem unusual and less credible. Therefore, the comment might be partially exaggerated or embellished, even if there is some truth to it.
1:35 Working 610 muscles is extremely impressive considering that there are only 600 muscles in the body. So it is not only working all of them, but it created new muscles just to work them lol.
Yeah I can't imagine what it was like before the late 2010s when this shit was rife. 90's and 2000's seemed to be the golden age for fitness scams to run amock. I remember seeing this dvd of Kim Kardashian from like the mid-late 2000s and some trainer going through the MOST ineffective "workout" you've ever seen which was targeted towards the women and teen girls who watch her and I just couldn't believe how this shit was real 😂
Crying about genetics is such a cope. Eating whole food meals proportional to your energy demands and hard consistent training with adequate protein and recoverybwill take anyone far.
About twenty years ago I've purchased a "Power Ball" forearm trainer. It really looked like a scam, but I fell in love with the red LED stripes lighting up when you set it in motion by circling your wrists. I also liked the fact that is powered by your own movements turning it into kind of an electromagnetic gyroscope that always seems to battle with they way you want to turn your hand no matter which way around. Twenty years later I still like to use it for warming up my wrists. So I concur: Some presumed scams do deserve a chance to be tried out.
That squat thing could probably help for someone just being able to walk again after either a coma, leg trauma, stroke, or being bed ridden morbidly obese.
I once heard that a BUNCH of these "As seen on TV" things, actually start life as a way to help elderly or infirm folk complete tasks. But since there isn't as big a market in selling products disabled folk would find useful as there is in scaming folks into buying shit they don't need. Well here we are now.

The Body Blade is a rehab tool used often for shoulder/rotator cuff injuries. The idea is to let your shoulder trigger most of the movement of the blade going back and forth, while the rest of your arm stays still. It can definitely be quite the burner. Especially if you're someone rehabbing from a shoulder injury.
It’s also super easy if it is used close to your chest like that video. Extend your arm out and try to do the same thing, you’ll feel the burn within 20 seconds.
I've used the body blade for physical therapy on my shoulders. It's meant for arm stability training and warming up from what my PT told me. Not really meant for building muscle or a full workout.....
"I feel like just going for a walk would be a better workout for my legs." Will points out one of the trickiest aspects of a lot of fitness equipment. Technically they really do cause some kind of muscle contraction in the targeted areas, thus they truthfully do something for that muscle group. However, often times something completely free, such as going for a walk, would not only do everything the fitness equipment did, but would even be better at it than the fitness equipment, disproving the need for the fitness equipment.
Yeah, or you could just sit in a chair and get back up.. if you want health and fitness on the cheap, get some dumbbells, adjustable ones if you wanna use em for a really long time.
