Well its a strange pick for an AFL final haha - I think she's great but when you think of the target audience, a rock band or a local act (or 10 given the $5m it cost) would have probably amped up the crowd a little more.

I think it would be good if we just used Australian acts every year, well known ones and up and coming. It would help support and promote our own local music industry and give Australian acts a platform in their own country...?

Like the other times she ( and many more ,sadly manufactured pop singers ) lip synch performances like this..... the mic has an on /off switch for when she wants to talk to the crowd , but the songs are straight lip synch. Bit of a rip off for $5 million.
@@brett22btsounds like 30/70 mix of lipped and live vocals. the main give away is that katy’s live vocals have a distinct nasally tone to them and she does a lot of live additions to her vocals. at some points, it’s mainly background vocals with her live vocals heavily mixed in (evident in the first song) but her live vocals were pretty solid whole way through.
