I know this video is 15 years old, but fuck man thanks you for this one. I’ve had my cab for almost 20 years and never saw that light coming from behind the speakers until tonight. Scared the shit out of me. I thought the thing was gonna burst into flames
Hello, do you know where I could find a replacement panel assembly? Not sure if I'll find a technician that will be able to fix a broken connection on mine. May need to replace the entire panel and assembly
They don’t want to yank your head off the amp if someone pulls that cable. The speakon connection is mainly for the cab. There is cables that are 1/4 inch on one side and speakon on the other end. I have many. For mono or stereo too
I have a SVT 1540HE cabinet and the horn attenuator has been bypassed due to damage to the rotary switch. Called Loud Technologies for the part; no longer available. Can you assist me in either 1) finding the rotary switch, 2) ideas to modify the x-over with a different switch, 3) obtaining a x-over that is compatible with this cabinet? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
Is it true that if you turn the horn all the way OFF to the left ... it can be damaged? I dont use it at all and have it turn it down all the way to the left, bor a warmer sound because Im a pick player... can I damage something? Thanks
I removed screws from the back panel of my SVT410HLF, but the panel didnt came off. I tried to pick it off, but did risk to push it too much not to damage anuthing, it felt like the panel was stil screwd on. I checked, but i sure removed all screws aroud the edge of the panel. Am i doing something wrong?
My Ampeg cab only has 1/4" connectors. Thanks for telling me I'm only getting a half decent connection.

1:39 "I could pull this cabinet of my desk!" This is a great argument *against* using speakons!

Any tips on why the hell only the right two side woofers on my barely played 410 HLF classic are not working , I’ve tried EVERYTHING
Hahaha last weekend a friend told me that! Your amp is on fire!!
@Alexzander Alfred Me too, and some times I use gnula.
You saved my cabinet thank you
You can’t run speakon cables from the Ampeg V4B head to a 4 x 10 cab cause it wasn’t build with a speakon outlet. Good one Ampeg

On some cabinets, they have I Mono and Stereo options I guess. What's so special or different about the two?

FN-2187 Not at all. It allows you to have that vintage vibe with it all they say off Vs. A more modern sound.
Whos here in 2024? 🎉❤
not exactly an ampeg question, can i have an attenuator without a crossover?
Yes, but it would attenuate the whole signal.
i'd like to know which PF cabs project the best

If i wanted to disable my horn in my ampeg 610, what wire would i dissconnect?
The black and red wires directly on the horn.
The blue and white are for the woofers.
nice video/. thanks 1000% thanks
There would be NO difference in soud between physicaly disconnected tweeter and turned down using L-Pad. No need to disconnect it IMO.
gimme a fuckin break on the speakon connectors. jesus
