The Breakers Reef is one of the more popular reef dives off of Palm Beach County. Today we dove along the Ron’s rock and the Forth Window section of the reef. The visibility was lower than usual, probably due to a variety of factors including rough seas just a week ago, and the discharge of run-off water from the extensive amount of rain Florida received this past month. Added to that, low tide and a weak current, there was not much flushing. You could also see a ton of Plankton in the water. Regardless, it was a dive filled with lots of marine life, from a sea turtle (pretty sure it was a loggerhead, however due to the visibility I will be cautious), to moray eels… there were plenty of cool creatures to take a look at.
