Valor LS look really easy and OP as hell when you watch a good player using it but when you using it yourself it a difference story. The main issue is this style will force you to play very aggressive, if you make a mistake, get hit and using potion a lot the Valor gauge will depleted before you know it.
@@malsocio Maybe it because you are highly skilled player, but for an average player such as myself need to practice a lot before it I can pull it off and even then I still can't do it consistently .

jc Drilltusk is not better, because you need handicraft 2 and razor sharp for it and you have to drop challenger +2 and some crit eye for it. It’s not worth it

Julian Adams I agree valor is better, but that wasn’t my point, arial also has wide slashes, and you can do triple charges more often with much more freedom with aiming

Man one of the most informative video I have come across, seriously other videos I have seen are like valor long sword is op and guard point is good but you are one of the few actually said that timing is damn though, I only managed to get it on narcgacuga. And thanks for the set well I have asked you on another video about dm stuff so won't bother you here as well. my favorite LS combinations: 1:valor with critical juncture 2:adapt with sakura slash 3:aerial with absolute red 4:alchemy with any 3 hunter art combination
For anyone who has beaten sekiro, the guard point has very similar timings to sekiro deflecting, meaning that if you are using to following a rythm, watch the monster's attack patterns and find the rythm to guard point on the attacks that have a long pause in between them or are a finisher attack to get a good punish in

I love valor LS now. I usually hate using the META but as *long* as I am using different LS from the meta LS, I don’t feel ashamed using a meta weapon style combo. After all, I am fond of valor GS, GL, bow and hammer.
In the past Longsword never clicked for me not in old games or World, then I played Valor, the amazing spirit combo and valor parry just make this style perfect! No need to build spirit buffs either! I wish I had the option at least to replace World's LS spirit combo with the valor one haha :P
Maybe because I played the older gens a little too much, but the mechanics newer gens add makes the game so much easier for me(but it does make the game a lot more fun).

Nothing feels more satisfying when you've mastered Valor LS against monsters that are always on your ass like Nargacuga. I've learned to parry it's constant pouncing and parry it's double tail slam. I've even gone hunts without taking damage aside from Valor dodging. I love MHGU
Very simple.. a defensive move that follows up with a strong damaging move.. and it doesnt need any guard skills... Similar as CB's GP to SEAD or AED in 4U except for the fact you need guard skills in certain cases... Also imo Switchaxe needs some kind of counter or dash aswell in world its the only weapon that feels like its missing something like that 😄

There are stronger lonsgwords like drilltusk, lavasioth , elderfrost ls and more but only if u have a god charm which almost nobody has

Longsword is a high damage weapon. Valor adds exactly what it needed to be the best. A full counter plus a higher damage is OP
