Hello friends,
And welcome back to Swiftlessons for another lead guitar tutorial. In today’s session I’ll be showing you three useful arpeggio patterns that you can use to improvise over a 1.4.5 progression in the key of A. Practice this routine in repetition while gradually increasing the tempo. Once these techniques have been committed to muscle memory, I suggest jamming over a backing track as you combine these arpeggios with scales to form your own melodic ideas. Let’s get started!

Finally an arpeggio lesson that make sense. By far the best on the web. Thank you!
Seriously thi
This is a wicked nice template to work across the entire fretboard on the I IV and V in any major key. Huge thumbs up.
My thoughts exactly Jamie! Thank you Rob!
I love how you break complicated lessons down and make them very simple. Thanks Rob!
This is brilliant. It’s simple and easy to understand. Doesn’t over contemplate the theory by going too fast or slow. I have struggle to find the right arpeggio guitar lesson that doesn’t bore me to death with theory.
Super... nice and slow and good tabs kudos...
He’s such a good teacher !! I stumbled upon one video teaching a Beatles song and I literally bought a guitar that week. Thank you so much! :)

Do you teach beginners to learn chords ? I know the root chords though. Now this lesson is great. You're a great teacher 👍
Hello Rob, wouldn't it be easier to play the major 3rd on the A string 4th fret and then the octave of A on the 10th fret of the B string?
Nice. Please help simple arpeggios video thanks
I love u sir
Nice
Ameejing
Guys practice this progression first with a single shape only for all the chords then learn a new shape
wow
On the Amaj Arpeggio, Is there a reason why you are stretching from 5th fret to 9th fret (on E string) instead of going from the 5th fret (E String) to the 4th fret (on A string)? I have short stubby hands and that's a far stretch for me, is there a reason you are teaching this exercise that way? thanks....Bret
Hey Bret, great question, that's the way I learned it from watching John Jorgenson's instructional videos (pretty sure), and with practice I've found it to be a more comfortable movement, but also a great stretching exercise. For this lesson you'll notice that the four arpeggios are setup with a different fingering, this is because I wanted to reveal a few methods for finding the 1.3.5 intervals. Additionally, I chose these particular fingerings because they flow together very well. Hope that serves as a good explanation, and of course you should always adjust these techniques to meet you preferences. I'm always fascinated to hear how students make the techniques I teach their own. Enjoy your practice. -Rob
can you use dom arpeggio's instead over the A
U r awesom...........
can i known how to apply this when i play solo ?
Another great lesson. Seeing your channel inspired me to set up a small guitar channel for some of my students. If you have time to check it out it would be great to get some feedback.
Keep up the good work. All the best.
Hey can you do a tutorial for "different colors one people by Lucky Dube" or and or black or white by Micheal Jackson. For black history month
Diagrams of arpeggios can be found everywhere online. Please make some lessons that actually teach something like melodies.
What about G major C major sir
Can you teach us how to play Drive By by Train
Could you do a hey jude tutorial pplsss?
How about those Eagles rob :D
Thanks for the lesson. Why do you not choose the C# on the A string for the second note of the A arpeggio? Same concept for the second note of the D arpeggio?
Hey Frank, that's the way I learned it from watching John Jorgenson's instructional videos (pretty sure), and with practice I've found it to be a more comfortable movement that works well for both the 1 and 4 chords, but also a great stretching exercise. For this lesson you'll notice that these arpeggios are setup with different fingerings, this is because I wanted to reveal a few methods for finding the 1.3.5 intervals. Additionally, I chose these particular fingerings because they flow together very well. Hope that serves as a good explanation, and of course you should always adjust these techniques to meet you preferences. I'm always fascinated to hear how students make the techniques I teach their own. Enjoy your practice. -Rob

how can I play melody
A one dought
I’m sorry I don’t understand this comment, feel free to elaborate
He simply means one less than two dought. Just thought I’d clarify. Hope that helps!
You look Steve Rogers
Huh
I miss your old old hair 😂
do you want millions of views? and subs? let me tell you what we want. 100's or do by 20 lol riffs of 80's rock songs from Motley to kiss and all in between you know them all. play just the main parts and put the freaken tabs on screen so we can actual learn chords etc... in a song that we know in a context that's way more fun. that way we learn and it's fast and easy. instead of a bunch of guitar theory and put your finger here and put that finguer there, this is in a/b sharp 13 and 6th notes and a half inteval going to the what the heck ever omg THAT would be best. there are not enough youtubers doing that on youtube.
...Meh...😯
