Kinda weird that we don't see the bus' hazards "on" and flashing. Not so sure if the account given in the description is actually accurate. Even if, why would they turn the flashers off, after emergency services arrived. Doesn't make sense to me (who has responded to many traffic accidents in my career).
Don't have the facts, but being a bus driver for 26 years, I wonder how the bus driver wound up stalled in a traffic lane. Generally you have some warning and get get over to the shoulder, or a least not in the fast lane.
I was a VM driver 16 years. That bus is an "arctic"" it's 60' long & weighs about 30 tons, the standard 40' bus is about 20 tons. The driver was (possibly) "deadheading" back to whichever facility the route was started. VM will more than likely fire the driver to try & avoid a lawsuit. The Digital Video Recorders will show what & how it happened. One thing I don't see is a road supervisor, They left this guy out to hang. The infamous union wasn't there for me when I needed them. I really feel for all involved, & hope the pickup driver healing & restoration.
So why didnt the dam bus put out flares or orange triangles ? That's what a cdl driver is supposed to do in my state if power is off and can't turn on emergency flashers.? Looks like a good law suit
They do that a lot in the phoenix area. They always pass, go fast, in a rush, HOV @90. There can be glaring emergency lights just 1000 feet ahead...nope, they still go fast.
The caption said the drive put on the emergency flashers. Unless the batteries died he didn't put them on or they would have still been on in the video.

Well, when you're too busy playing on the phone while driving, you tend to not see things 😂
True, the proof is in the pudding…the family of the deceased has a good chance of winning a lawsuit if no one turned off the hazards
Possibly all,the electrical,is in the back
Obviously not paying attention, most likely texting on the phone. A blind man could see that big white bus.
Looks clear to me
*He was not paying attention but Grim reaper was* 🔜💀
I am surprised he did not see that bus as it has a nice white rear should have been visible if he was paying attention.
Could be that he was traveling along with (yet behind) the bus when the bus came to a sudden stop.
@@dmreddragon6highly not
This is Phoenix, I'm the least bit surprised the driver didn't see the bus in front of them.

Might be one of those new EV buses
Also the potential that traffic wouldn't let himover, though the traffic seems light. 🤷♂️
@@herbienbrian2 Its a diesel bus
202 the highway of death once again
I smell a lawsuit from the family. I would too.

So the short bus of pick ups, ran into the actual short bus?

Bet he doesn't do that again.
In Los Angeles Mexico, they do it 600+ times each day...
Keeping everyone in my prayers including the First responders
The Ranger driver was disabled also
I wouldn’t blame just the pick up driver. And I see a lawsuit coming!
Some people need to get their eyes check cuz how do u not tell a car is not moving 🤦♂️

☠FATAL☠He died at the hospital☠
Slow down
Watch where you’re going
Commercial vehicles are suppose to sit out flares or reflective triangles. Maybe there wasn’t time?
The caption said the drive put on the emergency flashers. Unless the batteries died he didn't put them on or they would have still been on in the video.
Only when it's safe to do so. Never get out in the middle of the highway when traffic hasn't slowed down yet.
you NEVER get out on the freeway! ESPECIALLY if you're not on the shoulder. Put your flashers on and pray this doesn't happen.
Hey, its a Ford F'kn Ranger!
Who buys a ranger??

Reflective highway triangles . Flares .you know !!
@@gregsalerno1434 -They're good to see, but can be dangerous to set up.
The exhaust pipe is visible upper left corner of the bus, so not electric
Lol it's a cng fueled bus
This is why i will never ride on a bus.
I ride on buses a lot. Never had a single problem. If I was on that bus. I’d get off get my bicycle and leave
That bus is so tiny I could barely see it while I was texting. And still no cure for stupid.
