The BBC has ZERO relevance to me. I do not watch board TV.
The only thing I want to hear from that man is that they are doing away with the scandalous, extortionate tv license.which I feel is unlawful.

I agree I have looked at my TV usage and realised that my family simply does not watch "Broadcast TV" any longer. As such my TV Licence is being cancelled this month.
The BBC a government organisation and should be free to use like the NHS. The BBC is already funded by public tax. Like the NHS and Post office its poor quality management that's the issue.
Beeb in total denial about their future just like High street planners and management orgs.

There is nothing wrong with that motor. I bought an 08 focus now at 70k miles from my sister for £800. Had it 3 years and not one problem!. Brilliant motor. Mind you it's nothing like some of the nicer cars I used to own speed wise but it eventually get's the job done! 🤣. Thank you for the video :). Stay safe all! :)

I waited in on March 15th but the inspectors failed to turn up.
I've received a further letter, claiming they'll be here March 25th.
I wish they'd hurry so that I can tell them to Foxtrot Oscar ASAP.
Take them to the small claims court for loss of earnings then.
It should be subscription then we can decide what we pay for.
The future of the BBC (for me) was sorted years and years ago, when I stopped pay the licence (subscription) fee.

If BBC is going to go digital (and I'll believe it when I see it) it will be for the purpose of rescoping the licence fee - with BBC being digital I can imagine them trying to argue that you need a licence to watch any form of digital TV.
Thanks for a great channel. Many years ago, one of my mates, who was diagnosed with Schizophrenia got a visit from these goons. His judgement wasn't the best so he let them in. They told him a pack of lies, saying he could not legally possess any kit capable of 'receiving a signal'. The result was that he got rid of his TV & cancelled his internet subscription. What worries me is that this leaves him incredibly isolated to what's going on in the outside world. WW3 could start & he wouldn't even be aware & all because a couple of jumped up salesmen intimidated him. The sooner the powers that be put the BBC in their place over this once and for all, the better!
When/If Labour get in they will scrap the licence fee and fund it through general taxation meaning we all pay it whether we watch it or not.

I loved living in Spain, I was up North near Alicante, a small town called Sax, but I did have the opportunity to visit Mijas and Fuengirola such beautiful countryside along with Cion & Ronda.
It does make me wonder if this digital first drive is to justify bringing all streaming services under the license fee.

My TV licence is in my 92 Yr old mother's name, she's old school and would stress if she never had one, the licence expires July 24, sadly mum passed away last month.
So BBC, say goodbye to another £159 as I won't be applying for one. Since mum was bedroom bound for the last nine months of her life our TV has never been turned on, as I don't watch it, I've other interests.
I only need a TV to play my old family cini films I had transferred to DVDs. Do I need a licence for that?

I would outright refuse to pay extra on my council tax to pay for TV licence, I never watch TV. I'm not paying for everyone else to watch it period.

If they become digital centric , what's the betting they'll want a licence for every computer, laptop.
They have more than enough money. I think the way it works is like the Road Service. They have a Budget each year and when it comes to the end of the financial year they try to spend it all before the deadline for that year even wasting it on stuff they don't need. If they don't they don't get as much money the following year. That's why they make out they don't have enough money.
I had a lovely time in the early 90's living in the Canary Islands at a place called Gardin de Liaza where I earnt a ton of money selling timeshare and the whole lot was underwritten by the Royal Bank of Scotland. My parents owned several weeks in Spain up until a few years ago when they sold the lot, the good old days back in the 90's.
Just listening to him will force my bosses to make sure uk government add to COUNCIL TAX

If the BBC wanted to stay relevant then they would sell their content overseas with adverts and make it free in the UK and Commonwealth, running and maintaining a broadcast network is expensive and pointless. If they really want something with a schedule then they can do streaming channels on the iplayer and through other streaming platforms for a price.

It sounds like job cuts to me. Most countries have a PSB, I don't think there is any harm in it, it just depends how it's funded. Channel 4 is a PSB and they do OK.

They came after me with threatening letters! So I caved in. I told them on the phone I was paying because I did want their goons knocking down my door and be treated like a criminal.
If you want to watch BBC output live or on iplayer, that is what you need to do. If however you watch non live broadcasts or the streaming channels - not a problem.

when i did my computer science degree we were taught 'resistance to change' and i think the bbc are suffering from that. i don't know how much bbc studios make but nearly 4bl from tax must mean they are massively inefficient and/or greedy

Re the future of broadcast TV, no doubt it will be replaced by streaming in the future but I hope our politicians don't decide they can save a few quid by binning the infrastructure that makes it happen, TV masts, booster stations etc.. The transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves of radio frequency requires no infrastructure between broadcast and reception, unlike streaming, which requires the internet between the service provider and service user and which is always vulnerable to attack by any bad actor (not just those on the BBC).
The bbc will never give up such revenue…never! Even if they start advertising and a pay per view scheme together …they will fight to keep the licence fee no matter what.

Our BBC licence ending this month. We just don’t watch live TV anymore and have several subscriptions that are more value for money.
