You have to give the automated speech recognition software good input or it won't understand you. If it thinks there is a rabid squirrel attacking the microphone it will just ignore you.

What lesson can be taken away is that even when the slope looks safe and been ridden on like in this video, an avalanche can still trigger. Be vigilant boys
I read a while back that exposed, convex features are most likely to break loose. sure enough, every single video I've seen like this involves such terrain.
In 2019 we dug out someone on Vail Pass in CO who made a decision like this and didn't outrun it. It took us about 20 minute to unbury him, he was stupid lucky that his head (only) was above the snow. It took us another 30-40 min to get his sled out. The idiot didn't have a beacon/any avalanche gear, would have been a body recovery if his head wasn't above snow.
I'd definitely rather be on a snowmobile than skis in this situation. Skis can't accelerate past the avalanche as was shown in this video, for starters.
@@austinherder9463 yes, he is. Every animal around is getting stressed by this. The mere fact that he is causing a fucking avalanche should tell you enough that he is disturbing everything
I did something like this at Monte Christo here in Utah. I jumped down a cornice and triggered an avalanche. But I easily stayed in front of it the entire time. This guy was slightly behind it for a moment before he jumped in front of it.
Man oh man count your lucky stars that day. Good job getting away from it! I've read/seen video on this slope being one of the most dangerous in Oregon for avalanches because of the weather conditions it experiences. It breaks away at random times and depths, especially if cut way high up like this.

It was afkn wet slide dude. Not afkn dry slide. Wet slides are Not that dangerous. Just another normalfkn spring day in the mountains.
@@GP-qi1ve watch some TH-cam videos of people mountain riding. You don't sit. I've never worked harder then riding a snowmobile, but it depends on riding style. Do you walk to the mountain to go to the ski resort or drive? Seems like pollution happens no matter if you ride or ski or snowboard or breathe.
@@oregonsnowmobileadventures4256 well I live in the mountains, so I don't really drive. I do not even own a car ;) And your name is dallas thies, are you trying to make believe that you don't put your snowmobile in the back of your truck? ;)
That’s how it’s done, all these other vids I’ve seen they just stop riding it and it takes them down in the avalanche. I still don’t know why they don’t do exactly what this guy did
I got buried in an avalanch 2 years ago someone above me set it off with their snowmachine while I was digging a friends sled out on a steep hill. I tried swimming motions as it knocked me headfirst down hill fortunately my hand was visible sticking out of the snow when it stopped my body was siezed up and I couldn't breath under the heavy hardened snow. My right leg was sharply bent behind my back almost to my neck I'm glad they got to me in time. I couldn't move a muscle in my whole body except a free hand. I'm a little more paranoid now when high marking in the mountains
Ahh the great outdoors. Pristine snow, beautiful mountainside, crisp clean air with no exhaust, the quiet...oh wait a minute, that was a different video.
Without this slightly reckless approach there wouldn’t be a video for killjoys to yammer at you not digging pits, and snow conditions etc etc. Bottom line, you got out and you didn’t capture it like a grain of salt coming out of a shaker, so thanks for that. Was it sketchy? Yep! But I’ve seen people break bones on groomers at 20km, and others like you escape from scenes like this, so you do you homie! 👊🏻
Wow I've been there too.. I had an avalanche like that chase me when the kindergartners started throwing snow balls at me..pshew I barely made it out alive
I love how he sounds like a punk stoner dude during the whole scene, but the minute he says "go pro stop recording" he uses his cubicle voice.
LMAOO YES
Nah exact opposite, country boy, did you not hear his “yee-yee”s?
I would be stoned too if I got out of this situation
That was too funny, reminded me of the meme with the cave man saying "I have to go to work." 😂

@Kabir Stetson definitely, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since november myself :)
Hi
Wow. Started the avalanche sitting on top of the slab that broke away and ended up driving over the slab and getting away. Impressive
In mother Russia slab is good
Stupid, actually.
Avalanches win most of the time.

The snow mobile puts considerable more force into the snowpack. For skiiers the slops seems to be solid.
Yeah this was an eye opener for sure. I thought the land had to be a lot steeper for starters. It looked so mellow and safe
@@brunospasta there is no way to draw that conclusion from the evidence in this video

pretty sketch and glad he zoomed outta there, but i love how he can go from yelling and letting off that adrenaline to just “gopro stop recording😐”

Gopros have voice control....tell it to stop recording and it will stop.. that's what the man on the video was doing

I'm more impressed by the Gopro audio function. Now that's cool!
Ayy, caught the video before it blows up
looks like a great place to run the sled full throttle and get the ultimate adrenalin rush.
Watching this video without the audio would be a real shame. Amazing!

Where is this, I’d love to go some place like this
Did the top of the trees sticking out of the snow not tip you off that maybe it wasn't a safe place to be screaming and revving engines?
Which camera did you use to film? Very clear and crisp picture, even at high speed.
