What was at your mind where you started for the first time to make efforts in this practice ? It can be painful but keep in mind that every mangaka goes to ups and downs once and in a while. I hope this will help you !
Honestly, I just have an idea for a series and having been trying different approaches to flesh out the story ima go the ONE approach and just draw it out as best I can and hire some professional to bring it altogether
THIS CHANNEL IS SO GOOOOOOOD Like wtf? You are doing such an amazing job explaining how to create manga while also explaining how to draw in general! I love it, you sound so pro! Can you do a "how to draw like Hajime Isayama"? I find his style (especially his first chapters) interesting because he kinda sucked at drawing, but at the same time was really good at portraying emotions and facial expressions.
Gotta say this your content inspires me to create and make time for art, I've always loved drawing and kept putting of the creation of a comic I wanna make but after finding your channel, I now have alot of the the planning work done and even the first five storyboards done, so thank you for constantly creating and inspiring everyone! I appreciate you bro. I've known for a while that the only way I'm gonna get better is grinding it out but constantly get gripped with this anxiety over the fact that whatever I create will look bad at first. But art is the one thing I struggle with the most due to the fact that I don't want these ideas that have gestated so long to look like ass, but in the same regard many of these ideas have baked so long I have to get them out. Seeing that you took oneshots and made them into series later actually gives me hope. It gives me hope that even if my babies look amateurish and a bit crap that I can always come hack and give them the glowup they deserve. At this point I have upwards of 20-30 ideas I want to turn into manga. Like ideas that I have done loads of world building and planning for, some individual ideas have notebooks worth of info. I got all the fuel I need to be bettering my craft, I just have to hunker down and grind it out. Usually I have fear over the prospect of the effort I will have to invest. Or learning how to write a manga, but also learning anatomy. Or is it better to go slow and learn one at a time?
Don't know DD's approach to the matter but personally yes. you can learn more than one thing at a time. just as long as they things you can work on together. Right now I am learning anatomy and back grounds. Mainly because that is most important to learn for my current comic. And I am only learning them in the drawing stage. I still have to earn how to color and light them. so break stuff down, take it step by step, but if you have a project to work on as you learn the process will be more fun. Goodluck.
