this is truly one of the greatest settlements ever created on fallout 4. It's a feat of architectural ingenuity and creativity. by far my favorite channel right now! =)
I want to thank everyone for their support. This channel crossed 10,000 subscribers today. While I know it's not very many compared to some other TH-cam Channels, it's still alot for me. So thank you everyone, and I'll keep more content like this coming.
+Jug Really fantastic work Jug. Had to subscribe just based on the quality, attention to detail and sheer amount of hard work you put into these videos and your builds! I've learned a lot that's for sure.
Here's another tip: SAVE! When you're building up this high, you can easily fall to your death and lose 30 mins to an hour worth of building, since you're usually not going into your inventory to trigger an auto save. Trust me, it sucks!
Found your channel by reading a random comment below a random channel I've never seen before, that said:"I've found a channel called Jug and he's building amazing settlements". Now I am here and absolutely giving you my sub too. He was so right about you. :D
You did THIS on playstation wow.. THAT is impressive.. I would love to see you building on PC with some of the settlement mods, and all the new items you can build from them!
You prick. The Xbox and Ps... Are VERY GOOD. Yet you have the gall to say they are better. Mods are for the idiots who lack passion in what they see. Screw you -An Xbox Player
I found this one 6 years after the fact, amazing structure! If you want to step up your settlement building game to the top level, this channel is a one stop shop for building techniques. Incredible, just incredible.
Jug, my daughter and i watched the whole thing! Thanks man! This video is your best yet. Your building is absolutely amazing. I have notice you have actually used a whole arsenal of new recent building tricks here. I just wanna say your editing and voice commentary, is so easy going and relaxing, almost reminds me of a national geographic type animal documentary.... hahah in a good way. Kep up the great work my man, and great job representing the Ops Community!!! Means alot to me and im sure all the other look up to you alot as well.
+Ops_Specialist What you said ... he great an it great to see you including your younge 1's.... i did that now my son 15 an he drives his mum mad with his gaming :p
Did you hear that? That noise that sounded like a wet fart was my mind being *BLOWN!* This is the most beautiful settlement build I've ever seen on YT :)
This is insane! I was expecting mods and console commands were being used to help build this, but you did it on a console! By far the most impressive settlement that i've seen.
+xThat1WhiteKidx I thought for sure this was going to needs mods and console commands and almost moved on from it until he said he was doing this on PS4. Then I stayed and watched the amazement :)
"I hope this lives up to your expectations..." Uhh, well I live in a 3 story shack I thought was cool then you show this? I'm pretty sure you definitely exceeded all expectations, especially since you did all this on console, amazing video and it's awesome you showed some construction, time to go and try to implement your ideas into my game.
I was proud of some of my settlements (New Sanctuary, Starlight City, Fort Nordhagen, various Institute outposts/farms, etc), and felt like I was perhaps a little too obsessive over detail, but this.. this is just incredibly awesome, I'm continually impressed by the ingenuity of some of my fellow Fallout 4 players. :)
The most dangerous scaffolding ever. He legit had to jump from one stairway to another to get up higher. If this was real life OSHA would have a field day with him.
+Danielshz This is the Mouth of Jug " Hi this is Jugs comment from earlier point in time and space...x"I trashed the trees etc on every settlement and saved the game there, so I could use all the materials at one location. I keep each of these bases on it's own save file so I can just load a previous save and use the same materials all over again. Concrete isn't as easy to come by from scavenging so you may want to buy up some shipments from abernathy and finch farm. That being said none of these bases actually exist in my main campaign." hope that helps.
If i am allowed to give you a recommendation, search for a video here on YT called "Fallout 4 Sanctuary Hills Capital City Settlement Build (No Mods Used)" made by Orange Squeasy. This video is astonishing good, like the videos i've seen of Jug, but no tutorial, just demonstration. As far as I can remember he put in more than 300 hours building Sanctuary with an attention to detail that is hard to put into words. I hope you like it. :)
Hey Jug, this shows that obviously you're a master at this. I could only wish to have the patience you have to be able to sit for a while and do this but my character has ADHD just like his master and just runs around killing and discovering things. keep up the fantastic work my friend. I'm a fallout veteran and have not seen anything this good in many years. Kudos to you.
That is just breathtaking architecture. The Grand Entrance is better than anything Bethesda built. I think it's time Bethesda offered you a job to properly teach them how we would like to craft in Fallout 5 (Whenever that will be). You offer so many incredible tips and tricks I wished I had known earlier, especially since I use the PS4 myself. Anyhow, absolutely phenomenal design work, especially knowing the tweaking that must be done to get it all to work. I appreciate your tutorials and look forward to building more later. I wish I could come visit Abernathy Towers!
Hey Jug, your curved staircase got me thinking/building a spiral staircase using the counters from misc. furniture. All I can say after 5 hours of rug glitching, snap-tooling and attempting to use clipping to my advantage - you are a far more patient and careful man than I. Exceptional work.
+Mel Castro I was so proud of myself when I reformed Croup Manor covering all the gaps in the walls, ceiling and stuff. This makes me want to go there and launch a mini nuke against the settlement.
This is some really nice work. So often we find videos/people who construct using mods and act like they're some sort of creative genius but this is true honest creativity. Very Nice.
i feel like i am watching how-its-made. your voice is nearly the same as the narrarator of that show and the long awkward pauses to show short cinematic cuts of the product are amazing. no complaints just complete respect.
During the 2020 Quarantine, I'm spending a lot of time building in Fallout 4. Even after all this time, your methods and tips are very helpful--and even with mods--difficult to duplicate. This is an absolutely awesome build. Thank you for the inspiration during a very dark time.
I always leave these videos by first picking up my jaw from the floor... then I shake my head. You are a master, Jug. Thanks for sharing your builds with us.
Jug I am not sure if I have already said this, but this build is EPIC!! It is more impressive that you did this without mod or console commands, just pure SKILL! Its amazing man, you put us modders to shame!
This is honestly such an inspiration This is the stuff that makes me go into fallout 4 wanting to create thank you for your patience, creativity and genius
I wish you could upload this building so the not so creative people could enjoy this master piece. And I know it's on ps4, but moding is coming to ps4 soon. I don't think that you'll actually read this comment, but if you did please consider it.
jug ...thank you. learning a lot from you. there's a saying, "to think outside the box." looks like you burned that box, and have left yourself a blank canvas and creating some really cool art. keep it up! :)
+Christopher Rhudy He doesnt use glitch, just uses all supplies gathered from salvage at settlements and has different builds on seperate saves so he can restart new with all supplies
Dude... I never knew anything like the things I've seen you make was possible. Infinite kudos to you, Sir. You have inspired me to put my creative juices to work. Thank you.
I have to say, you are the best I have seen at utilizing this part of Fallout 4. I have employed a number of your techniques to some of my builds and It makes everything so much more detailed. Keep it up, I definitely want to see more!
hey there @jug just found your work, amazing stuff. I will almost never have the patience for this but seeing the end result in stunning thank you for your time!
You are a genius, plain and simple. I would love to see what you can come up with using more complex builders and a broader range of objects/functions.
You know what's nice about this video it's actually creative and looks good! Plus you're not annoying and you don't sound annoying like 97% of all other TH-cam videos! GREAT VIDEO MAN! TRULY!
To bypass settlement size limit: Go to the settlement you want to bypass the limit on. Go to the workshop. Take out all the weapons in your workshop. Exit workshop mode. Go into your inventory and drop all your weapons. Enter workshop mode. Store all the weapons you just dropped. Size limit decrease complete. Can do this every time your size meter fills up.
Jesus. This is super impressive. I was linked to you by a friend who referred to you as the "Bob Ross" of Fallout building, and I agree in the most complimentary of ways.
+coolakiIlen007 Only crash I've experienced was when I tried fast traveling from a location that was over the build limit. Specifically Sanctuary. Connecting a terminal and changing the colors of all the light boxes would likely cause a crash though.
I have put over 8 days of game time into just building settlements on Fallout 4 and nothing I have made has come even close to this, coming from a pc player using mods and console commands. This is otherworldly, great job!
Although I am not yet able to play Fallout 4 (don't have a proper machine to handle it), I have enjoyed watching others play the game. Of most interest to me is the building aspect of the game and I your builds are far superior to anything else I've seen thus far. I have enjoyed watching all of your Fallout 4 builds and look forward to seeing more. Thank you for sharing!
