ATEEZ and Stray Kids along with BTOB made a unit in kingdom last year and it was phenomenal it was called MayFly and it was so good! I am hoping for more group projects from Stray Kids and ATEEZ!

In my opinion StrayKids and ATEEZ are brother groups. Not because they sound the same at all but because they are so equally incredibly talented in their own right and are very close to eachother in their personal lives as well. Changbin from StrayKids and Wooyoung from ATEEZ are literally best friends since predebut I believe and they all became really close on Kingdom Legendary War. ATEEZ are extremely under-rated. StrayKids are my ult group but ATEEZ are my 2nd and MONSTA X are my 3rd. But that basically means StrayKids are 100, ATEEZ are 99.9 and MONSTA X are 99.8. That's how close they are bcuz they are all so freaking talented.

Hongjoong and Mingi-the two rappers are part of the production team. Eden heads up the production team Edenary-which brings in a variety of producers. They often incorporate real instruments and sounds (The Real uses a traditional Korean instrument). Wonderland brings in a whole marching band.

Being ATINY from the very beginning, their storyline has been a Rollercoaster. I started with their dance videos that were released in April of 2018. A series of 3 one to one and half minute videos that shows their dance abilities. Their first one went viral. And when they debuted in October 2018 with Pirate King and Treasure, I was hooked. Another thing u need to understand is when they do have a comeback, many times they do it with two songs. There are only maybe 4 or 5 videos that don't have a 2nd song. So as you go through their music you will find double comebacks for a lot of them...good luck gentlemen..and thank you for listening to ATEEZ.

ateez are known for their powerful and energetic performances and title tracks, but they can do it all tbh, their dicography is quite diverse despite what it may seem. deja vu is one of their sexiest title tracks but still has the "ateez presence". i recommed you to check out their latest comebacks first: "guerrilla" (quite heavy and a very experimental song, it's so good) and "halazia" which is their latest song and also very good. another good recommendation is "hala hala", for me that song is the essence of ateez and it's one of their earlier songs.

Please start with Pirate King and Treasure just so you can see them from their debut and then work your way through them in order, simply because you can actually see the quality change as they grew into their sound, their look, and their image. They are performers first, which makes for gorgeous dance, beautiful vocals, amazing raps even from the start. They were sent to LA to learn hip hop and other dance styles pre-debut (there's a variety series about their stay), and they put out three group and one solo dance performance before debut as a result. Those performance videos really showed what their early capabilities were, and they've only improved with time. They're a rabbit hole well worth going down. Welcome!

First time seeing your reaction channel and you are in for a TREAT with Ateez! These guys have some of the best music in kpop but they are from a small company so a lot of people have been sleeping on them.
Anywho, I'm not exaggerating when I say they have one of the most versatile and interesting discographies that I've heard. I call them musical chameleons because they can pretty much pull off anything. Their vocalists are super talented and their rappers (Hongjoong & Mingi) are very unique and instantly recognizable. Also, their producers are exceptionally skilled and know how to experiment with sounds, beats, drops, rhythms, etc in a way that showcases their talent beautifully. These are some of the elements that make their music so distinct and, in my opinion, so good.
I have to warn you though. This group is highly unpredictable. And by that, I mean, they do not play it safe and never do what you think or expect they are going to do from one song to another so please keep that in mind as you delve into their music or you might get whiplash! LOL. Also, because their production quality is so outstanding, I would highly recommend listening with a good pair of headphones to hear all of the instrumentation and backing vocals on the songs. They're so good!
Some of their title tracks that you should definitely check out are:
    Halazia
    Guerrilla
    Turbulence
    Fireworks
    Inception
    Thanxx
    Answer
    Wonderland
    Say My Name
    Hala Hala
    Wave
    Illusion
    Aurora
    Utopia
    The Real
    Treasure (their 2nd debut track)
    Pirate King (their debut song)
Their title tracks are fire but their b-sides is where you find the gold and real versatility. Some of my favorites are:
    Mist
    To the Beat
    Be With You
    Precious
    The Ring
    Cyberpunk
    Take Me Home
    New World
    'Feeling Like I Do
    Dazzling Light
    'Thank U
    My Way
I'm going to stop here so as not to overwhelm you. But I am so looking forward to more reactions from you guys on Ateez. They are truly amazing!

OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE YOU LISTENED TO ATEEZ FINALLY 😍😍😍
Ateez is 8 dancers, 8 vocalists, 8 performers. They trained as a dance group predebut and if you look up KQFellaz you'll see some videos of them. ( Not to be confused with KQFellaz2 who are their juniors who are trainees right now)
Mostly they have a production team, Edenary led by producer/composer Eden, in house. Hongjoong (redish hair in this MV) and Mingi (silver hair), the rappers, write their own raps.
The songs and music videos are ALL linked to a greater storyline so it may be hard to follow that.
Please check out their debut songs Pirate King and Treasure. I also recommend HALA HALA and Say My Name as earlier songs to get to know them. If you want to do whole album listens, their newest mini album The World: Episode 1, Movement is a GREAT place to do that. The single off that album is called Guerrilla and it's kinda insane.

    @flaggov6949 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I wouldn't call DejaVu companion songs, meaning the songs are similar or connected. They fairly frequently have double title tracks which is the case here. Hongjoong and Mingi write lyrics and Hongjoong has produced some songs and works closely with their in-house production team, Edenary. None of their songs really sound alike though they do have an ATEEZ quality. Their main producer, Eden, said when they finish a song, if they realize it's similar to something they've already done, they throw it out and start over.
As for where to start, that's a tough one. They have a storyline, so one option is to watch their MVs in order (starting with their debut songs Pirate King and Treasure). If you like dancing, I highly recommend their pre-debut dance covers which went viral, Performance Videos I, II, and III, plus Yunho's solo, as well as always watching their dance practices (every member is a stand out dancer). Another option, which would introduce you to their lore without drowning you, would be to watch the two teasers for their The World EP 1: Movement album and its title track Guerrilla, followed by Paradigm (a Japanese track), the Prologue for Halazia, and Halazia (their latest comeback) since these have tightly connected lore.
    Thanks for the reaction!

I'm guessing that Eternal Sunshine will be a bit of a surprise after Deja Vu, being one of their cutest songs :)
I'd recommend checking out their latest comebacks first, since they both belong to the new series of albums and are more obviously a part of the same story (story wise Halazia comes first and then Guerrilla). But I'm pretty sure you'd enjoy their older cbs as well, I'd personally recommend starting with the first one with title tracks Say My Name and Hala Hala. But honestly, they don't have a bad song to their name so it's just a matter of picking the ones that are in your favourite style.

Please more ateez content 🙏🙏🙏 they do all sorts of genres and are always changing it up so this is pretty much their only "sexy" concept 😭 there are 2 rappers, hongjoong is the orange haired one and hes the softer-lighter rapper. The deeper-raspier rapper is Mingi. Mingi and hongjoong both write their parts and do their own music. Hongjoong also has produced and writes more of the music for ateez but they have an in-house production team that he works intensely with. They also have a super intricate lore that is throughout all their videos so some things may be confusing, but ease keep watching 🙏 I recommend Hala Hala, Halazia, Thanxx, and guerrilla 🙏🙏 also, yesss they are all amazing dancers and singers and some can also rap (altho they don't really in the songs, mainly hongjoong and Mingi do). Ateez also has no official positions because they're all pretty much good at everything :)

    And for B Sides:

Weird timing I just watched this video again today hoping y’all would set on this adventure.. anyway. Yunho (main dancer) the first one you hear and see.. the vocal range that man has.. high. Mid. Low low. Especially in ‘Say My Name’. honestly you can’t go wrong with any of their videos. HONGJOONG (red hair) is the leader and rapper .. sorta sounds like Han from Stray Kids sometimes. Mingi the deep voiced rapper. Jongho with the falsettos.. hair metal voice. BLACK CAT NERO.

The first, orange haired rapper is Hongjoong.
Deja Vu is very fun but I think The Real, Wonderland, Guerilla are even more interesting musically (instrumental, the layers, the rhythm) and would highly recommend those! There is also a Wonderland remix with Dvorak's New Work Symphony and it is exquisite.

I am a Staytiny, so I am glad to see your reactions to Ateez. I also recommend watching "I'm the One - Fireworks". This has been my favorite song by them, and then "Sector 1", but Halazia has turned into my favorite as I see several people have already recommended.

That thing at the end is their song turbulence a cool thing about their music videos is that they almost always put a hint to the song coming out next comeback at the end if their mvs. I really recommend checking out turbulence it will make you cry.
I also recommend Rocky(boxers ver.), Say my name, Answer, The real, Don't stop, gala hala, halazia, and guerilla.
The orange hair person who rapped is hongjoong
The other rapper that came after him, silver hair is mingi
The one that has red and black hair is yunho
I'm realizing that I don't remember all their hair colors and that a few of them had Silver ish hair so I'm gonna stop here lol

You gotta check HALA HALA ( still can't believe they did it in their rookie yrs) and THE REAL ( its a freak!n festival here!) guerrilla and halazia is a must watch, every era (treasure, fever, the world series) are totally different vibes but still has that ateez identity, turbulence is something more emotional but a total gem. Don't make me go to their bsides cuz i can't be able to stop but here's some of their diverse bsides( cyberpunk, rocky, be with you, celebrate)

Yay! As a Stay-Tiny I'm happy to see you guys getting to know these guys too. 🎉 Their performances are fire, their origins are sort of a dance crew situation, but they're amazing vocalists and their 2 rappers (their tiny but mighty captain and their deep voice giant) are so good too! Fun fact, Ateez and SKZ are friends 😊 Only discovered your channel yesterday, but I'm so looking forward to following your journey with both these groups.

oh i am so excited for your ATEEZ journey, you are gonna so much fun (as will all of us hehehe). if you want to see what really put ateez on the map, you should check out the kingdom performance of Wonderland, but otherwise I feel like you can't pick wrong - they have a pretty hefty discography with many different genres, but as they have a single producing team that they work closely with the music is always very 'ateez'. and yeah, they're amazing dancers, they're most well known for the intensity of their performances. to see the best of their live prowess, besides the kingdom performances another really big one is the live version of Black Cat Nero from Immortal Songs - Jongho (main vocalist) absolutely destroys the high notes in every live performance. And last but not least, leader Hongjoong (red-haired rapper in this video) has produced a few of their songs as well; Aurora, Sunrise, Rocky, Not too late, most notably. Have fun!!

Their producers (Edenary), requires their own rave reviews because they are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I think it is interesting to hear that Deja Vu was the recommended song to start with but honestly, they all are amazing and you think it can't get better, but then they keep on topping themselves. Unbelievable! Please do many many more.. the lore is intense and could be confusing to newcomers but it can always be understood over time while enjoying getting to know the members and their songs 💕

Ateez honestly has it all. I adore them so much. The whole time you were reacting, I was giggling because I reacted the same way. They actually started out as a dance group called KQ Fellas, so their performance aspect is always stunning. But discography wise I would 1000% recommend watching/listening to The Leaders, Wonderland, Fireworks, Guerilla, Halazia, Hala Hala, WDIG?, Cyberpunk, Don't Stop, Thanxxx, Answer, inception, Say My Name, Eternal Sunshine, Illusion, Wave, The Real, Black Cat Nero(they did a live cover of the Turbo song on Immortal Songs but they also have a MV for it),... honestly, the list goes on and on. For Japanese tracks, my two favs are Rocky(Boxer Version) and Paradigm. They have a very long and complex storyline, and it's shown throughout their videos, but if you don't wanna get into the lore, you can still fully appreciate their artistry. Every song is a masterpiece on its own. They typically feel epic and like you're on a journey, but their more pop sounding music is still just as good.
I typically watch every reaction to Stray Kids songs because I adore them as well. But I have to admit that I have been waiting for you to dive into Ateez as well. I'm excited to watch your journey with our captain and his crew. (They have a pirate theme and Hongjoong is referred to as Captian instead of Leader.) Lol

If you like, you could react to your first works like Pirate King, Treasure, you could also react to Say My Name, Hala Hala, Wave, Illusion, Wonderland, Answer, Fireworks, The Real, Turbulence, Guerrilla, paradigm & Halazia so they don't miss anything.

Two rappers, Hongjoong (orange hair) rapped first, it's just that his rap was sectioned into two parts that sounded slightly different. The first half was more subdued than his usual rap style, the second half was more like his typical style and flow. The second rapper, Mingi (grey hair) was after Hongjoong.

  • @Emtiny12
    @Emtiny12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I would just say listen to all of their songs. They have one of the best discography’s out there. There’s two rappers, six vocalists(though the two rappers can sing too), and all of them are dancers so there’s not really a dance line. Hongjoong and Mingi write and compose a lot of Ateez songs. The ending scene that you saw was apart of their storyline. They have a HUGE storyline attached to their mvs. Also there’s 8 members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. Hope this helps!!😊
