Is it something wrong with my pods? Is it normal that i can't pause or play the song by taping?
I've been using Android for years, my last iPhone was the iPhone 8 plus, i love Android but i can't deny the fact the Air Pods Pro 2 are the best wireless earbuds ever! The nouse cancellation is wild, sometimes i forget where i am because all i hear is the music, the sound quality is close to Sony earbuds, Sony has the best audio quality ever, as in the voice is crystal clear and no just bass banging like beats earbuds/galaxy earbuds, i love these earbuds so much, they're perfection!
They are good but I do prefer the sound profile on some newer buds like the Nothing Ears and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, but there is no doubt the Air Pod Pros are still class leading when it comes to noise and touch controls, and those things work fine no matter what device you are paired with, which is great for people like you and me who mix and match ecosystems. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. So if they are original, the Google Assistant works, but I have also read in the comments of many TH-camrs that this is also the case for many
Are the long press settings saved to the pods or the OS? It's annoying that the long press doesn't do all 3 - "OFF" is nice because it allows natural sound dampening of the pods, which is quieter than transparency mode, but not full noise cancellation, which can be a hazard in public. I have iOS devices or my wife does or whatever, so if it's saved to the pods I can connect quick with that, enable it, and then use it with my Pixel. The things you don't get are pretty small, IMO. $250 is still steep, but it's steep even for iOS where everything works - it's simply expensive. But I love how well the noise cancellation works. I am skeptical about long term charging though, as my wife's gen 2 airpods stopped charging after 1 or 2 years due to connection problems with the case. If these last 5 years I'm fine, 1 or 2 and I'd be pissy.
@@RandoTechInfo Haha, that'd be a good game plan if time wasn't an issue. Pretty sure I'm going to take the plunge on this, going to give myself 'til the end of the week to think about it. $250 if it only lasts a year or 2 is annoying, but it's also not the end of the world.

You need an iPhone to take the initial hearing test and set up the feature. Once it's set up, and turned on, the feature will work when paired to any phone, but you won't be able to make changes to it or easily toggle it off and on. Hope that answers your question.
Great video, exactly what i was looking for and found nowhere else!! One question: if i set the long press on the left airpod (on my ipad) to toggle between Noise Cancellation and Off, will it stay that way when connected to my android?

AirPods shouldn't be able to activate Google Assistant. I'm afraid what you have is not a real pair of AirPods. Where did you get them?
@RandoTechInfo it was a gift, but I checked the serial number on apple's platform and it's a genuine pair I don't get it
The long press only switches between the transparency and default setting but not the ANC. Anyone else facing the same issue? (Using it on a Pixel 7 pro)
The default setting for the toggle SHOULD be between transparency and ANC. (I'm not saying you're wrong, that's just what it normally is.)
Can you pair them with an iOS device just to check?
What an entertaining review with great balance between info and fun parts. Well done!
Thanks! Appreciate that!
Do they automatically reconnect when taken out of the case?
Yep.
What about multipoint connection? Does it work seamlessly for example between an android phone and windows pc?
They don't have multipoint connection support, even with Apple devices.
I've been thinking on picking up the new usb-c version they just released, mainly because ive been having charging issues with my pixel buds a series (i think its some connection alignment issues, and because airpods charge on a stem rather than pins this would hopefully fix it), but i was worried about what it wpuld be like using a samsung with airpods. Thank you, your video was very insightful.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for sharing!

How do i enable anc ... Whenever i tap and hold for 3 seconds for ANC it launches google assistant
Genuine AirPods cannot launch Google Assistant. I fear you have something else.
@@RandoTechInfo got em as a gift, he said that he got it for almost half the price, i am feared that he was duped ... but if he got it for a much lower price, I'll still keep em as it was a gift with love from a loved one 😊 and i used to have oppo enco buds before this and still the fake airpods has a better sound quality than oppo so i think it's still a upgrade somewhere ... How do you track the battery levels on android?
There are third party apps you can download to do that. I had one for a while, I don't remember which one but I remember it worked pretty well.
I have an S22 Galaxy - I just got the Airpods Pro 2 from a family member to use on my new job, BUT everytime I hold down for the noise cancelling/transparency feature, Bixby pops up.
Do you have this issue? How do you bypass it?
Bixby is not compatible with the AirPods so my guess is what you have are actually a pair of fake AirPods. Where did you get them?
Thanks for this in-depth video!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Do you know if the spacial audio still DOESNT work?
Reason being from my google pixel 8 pro i have been able to activate it on ANY headset so far.
I haven't tested it in a while.( I personally don't see the appeal of it.)
I can't imagine Apple would make it compatible with non Apple devices. That would be very un-Apple.
+Will the hearing aid feature work?
It will work with an Android phone but you would have to set it up with an iPhone first. And you would have to keep going back to the iPhone it's paired with anytime you would want to make any adjustments.
So technically the answer to your question is "yes", although I would probably not recommend it.
Do I miss anything if I have Macbook as a laptop?
Don't think so. I don't have a Mac but you should be good to go. 👍🏻
I have an old ipad 4th gen and a pixel 4a. I would like to use these with my phone and windows laptop, and i am wondering if i can update the firmware and tinker with the settings on the iPad. Also, can anyone recommend any cases/ wireless chargers for this device?
Don't know much about jailbreaking iPads. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you. Thanks for watching!
What's that Samsung case at 3:51?
On the Ultra? That's just a clear case from Samsung. What you are probably noticing is the "Something" dbrand skin. I don't know if they're still making it, but it was pretty cool.
My anc doesn't seem to work. I hear the chime when long pressing the stems of the airpods but the anc doesn't work nor does transparency. I use an android but it doesn't seem to even turn on. Anyone know why it won't work
Are they new or have you been using them for a while and then they stopped working?
@RandoTechInfo I just got them this weekend, my friend was selling some and he couldn't sell those so he gave them to me, (still packaged) and serial number is indeed real (verified it) and it was purchased in may 2023,but they were never used nor ever opened
im sooo bummed out on the spatial feature of these earbuds not working with my phone. 😖😔
That is indeed unfortunate. And the new iPhones don't look particularly special to switch.
@@RandoTechInfoif my android phone has Dolby Atmos and spatial audio support won't airpods spatial audio feature work?
@@pa1kumarbhukya I do not believe so. I don't think that's something Apple wants to share with Android users.
Hello. I'm using the apple airpod pro2 and a s23 ultra, i can use several functions of the airpods but it doesn't work to record the audio, nor record the audio when recording a video from the airpods. it is as if it does not capture any voice at the moment that if i am talking, i think it only records the phone but not the headset, did i do something wrong by pairing the headphones to the ultra s23? or you can't normally record audio from pro airpods to android phones, or use any voice assistant from the headset, because they only work with apple phones. please could you give me any solution?😢
Try using the pro video mode through the camera app and then switch the audio input to Bluetooth and see if that helps.
How do i use the anc on the Android
Pinching and holding the stem should toggle back and forth between transparency mode and ANC.
Guys i need your help, just bought second gen airpords today, but when i connected them to my huawei, i found out that the pause and play feature was missing and could only swipe up or down to adjust the volume. Is it something wrong with my pods? Is it normal that i can't pause or play the song by taping?
It's less of a "tap" and more of a "squeeze". There is a slight delay. Give that a try.
@@RandoTechInfo props to this man that literally just told me how to do it, it worked btw, thx
@@bugambilia4063 Happy to help!
Thanks for watching!
how to turn off both anc and transparency mode?
Can't without an iOS device.
@@RandoTechInfo how
My airpods pro 2s are set on to activate google assistant instead of noise cancelation and transparancy mode, is there any way to switch it?
Legit AirPods don't have Google Assistant. You (along with many others) have a look a like.
I have a question, I watched a lot of videos and some of them said that if you hold down the Google Assistant opens, can you fix it?
Unfortunately if Google Assistant is activating you do not have actual AirPods.
Thank you. So if they are original, the Google Assistant works, but I have also read in the comments of many TH-camrs that this is also the case for many
@@mmiralik8687 No. If they are actual AirPods they will not have Google Assistant. On a real set of AirPods the only assistant that will work is Siri.

Does adaptive eq work on galaxy?
All that is covered in the video.
Feel free to come back and ask me in 3 years how they're doing. 😁
@@RandoTechInfo Haha, that'd be a good game plan if time wasn't an issue. Pretty sure I'm going to take the plunge on this, going to give myself 'til the end of the week to think about it. $250 if it only lasts a year or 2 is annoying, but it's also not the end of the world.
can you help becasue whenever i long hold or press and hold it just activates google assistens instead of nc and transparancy mode, I use and a53 5g phone pls help
I do not believe it is possible to activate the Google Assistant with a real pair of iPods. I suspect you have some knock offs.

Spacial audio does kinda work on android. With apple music and a phone supporting dolby atmos (most androids nowadays) it does work . But head tracked spacial audio isn't available. And one more thing, updating the airpods pro on android is impossible and requires an iPhone to do so
IMO Spacial Audio isn't Spacial Audio without the head tracking but your point is taken. Also, good call about the updates.
Will Dolby Atmos work with Airpods Pro 2? Does it work on wireless earphones?

They should.
Can i use them as hearing aid for my mom who uses android phone?
Not sure. The new hearing aid software drop hasn't come through yet. Once it does, I will definitely be testing it.
Can I use as hearing aid on android phone?
You need an iPhone to take the initial hearing test and set up the feature. Once it's set up, and turned on, the feature will work when paired to any phone, but you won't be able to make changes to it or easily toggle it off and on. Hope that answers your question.

Great video, exactly what i was looking for and found nowhere else!!
One question: if i set the long press on the left airpod (on my ipad) to toggle between Noise Cancellation and Off, will it stay that way when connected to my android?
Yes. It seems any changes made to the settings using an iOS device carry over to other devices. At least they did for me when switching between my iPad and my S22 Ultra.

What are better options for an android phone that isn't a Samsung or any popular brands?
The new Pixels are reviewing well. Sony makes good phones if you have the money and like granular control of your camera work and OnePlus is good if you want a solid phone with fast charging. You can't really import phones right now because you won't get good reception on US carrier networks.
