    I'm a hair stylist and I recommend this to my clients all the time. It's great for someone who has a hard time using a round brush and blow dryer at the same time. I agree, they need to come out with different sizes!! 💕

    My niece told me about this hair brush so I bought one, OMG it’s amazing, so amazing I never want to be without it, I bought 3 more when they were 1/2 off at Ulta. I gave one to my niece for her birthday as a backup and I kept 2 for myself as backups. I hope they never discontinue this.😘

    I have thick long hair and I started using this dryer about a year ago. Keep in mind my hair has natural curl but not pretty curls! This is the only tool I use and my hair looks like it did when I walk out of the salon. It's worth every penny. I love it!

      Beth Hughes I got same thick long hair like you described , could you plzz upload a tutorial on how do u use this tool on your hair. It would be really helpful for me and other people you have same texture like us. Just a humble request.

    I have very thick coarse hair and discovered this brush last month. My shoulders are very weak from a prior condition and blowing out my hair was exhausting. This really works and I love it!

    Ok, this brush/dryer is AMAZING!! I'm so obsessed with it. Ladies who are on the fence like I was, just get it! I have thin, short and sad hair. This thing gives me salon blow out hair and it takes me like 15 mins. MAX. No straightener needed and the ends get a beautiful flip.

      I just got mine from Target. I haven't tried it on my wet hair yet, but notice that barely any air blows out. Is that normal? Doesn't seem like it will fully dry my hair.

    I've got the same type of hair neither truely curly nor straight. I do manage to get mine to curl on the day I wash it but after that it's just pure frizz and I just end up tying it back. Sadly though my hair is also very thin because of medication. I'm doing PRP and hylauronic acid treatments and thankfully its helping it a little. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it works more, Risa. Until this happened to me, I never really appreciated how important good hair is to women.

    I bought one, and my hair is just to my shoulders, and it works great on my length!

  • @lakegirl451
    @lakegirl451 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have one of these and I wasn’t thrilled at first as I have shorter/shoulder length and this brush is BIG and good for longer hair. My hair is also very thick so by the time I got it dry, the style was gone. I watched a TH-camr (cant remember who), and she said to use a blow dryer and dry your hair 50%, and then finish with this styler. Works great! Gets the hair smooth just like you got a professional blow out!

    • @RisaDoesMakeup
      @RisaDoesMakeup  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this is what I do now. I use a regular blow dryer to rough dry it almost completely, and then I use this to smooth a style. It works great with less damage!

  • @justrose6978

    I have naturally curly hair and love it BUT on occasion, I want a straight look. I NEVER liked blowing out my hair because of the tiring process. I'm definitely getting this guy, it's Revlon so it won't break my bank. I've looked at higher end brush dryers and just couldn't justify the cost because of how seldom I would use it. So, thank you Risa for this recommendation (and the YTber who you watched)!

    I didn't have a lot of luck when I first used it. I have medium-thick, coarse, curly hair and I remember not loving the way it came out. I need to try it again with a little more patience. I'm also having issues with arthritis and tendonitis in my hands, so blowdrying my hair has become painful - it's been a couple of months of a bun, LOL! Thanks for showing this, Risa - and your hair looks beautiful!

    Lisa J did a video last year featuring this blow dry brush. I went out and bought it and haven't used any other method to dry my hair since. I agree with all of your comments about using this brush. Love love love it! I had a bob that has now grown out to the same length as your hair and the brush has worked very well on both the shorter and longer hairstyles. Keep posting all your videos. Thanks for sharing!

    I’m so glad this is getting the love it deserves! I bought mine off Lisa J’s recommendation also. The one thing to note is that the bristles bend and fall off after about 9 months for me. Omg I think I saw the same video and bought the hairdryer two days ago! I have straight, fine, but a decent amount of hair, not tons. This dryer works great! I don’t get a ton of volume but the shape and smoothness is almost as good as the salon. Nothing else has ever worked- and it’s so easy to use! I’m not very skilled at doing my hair so I am super impressed so far. ❤️😎

    I first saw Lisa J use hers in a video and ran out and bought one and I’ve never looked back. My hair is suuuuuper curly and frizzy and I’ve spent my lifetime battling it. This is a miracle worker for me and, the best part (well, it’s all the best part) is that it’s so fast! My hair is smooth and dry and ready to go in 5 to 8 minutes. Need to go buy my backup, too!

    Milabu has been using this dryer for a long time , has done videos on comparing the Revlon to other heat styling brushes and most recently to the dyson air brush. She also mentions the heat settings and how hot it gets, but uses the low heat ,so as not to damage her hair too much . It works on shorter hair as well . Love how you styled your hair!

    Your hair looks amazing!!!! My stylist cut mine in layers growing it out to a collarbone length and hope it will do like yours soon . I have a longer bob length hair cut with layers right now & used this Revlon dryer brush this morning as I had bought my daughter one and she thought I would like it too. I was on day 2 hair but didn't want to wash so wet and used the low setting even though I still have thickness . It was so easy and looked so good for day 2 hair. I was so glad I didn't have to send it back, LOL! I can't wait to try it on freshly shampooed hair.Thanks for all the helpful info and tips! It helped me to watch this! :)

    Exactly, Risa- I've owned this for a year and loved it so much when my hair was shoulder length, but now that I have a shorter bob, it's really hard to get my hair around it and it's very hot the back of my neck. Wish they'd make a smaller version!

    I’m going to have to try this. I bought and ended up return the Dyson because I wanted something that’s more compact for traveling and I can’t just use any old hairdryer. I have lots and lots of medium-coarse, bra-strap length, weirdly wavy hair and need a serious blow dryer. I’m pretty experienced with the round brush and can get a pretty smooth blowout but the Dyson was terrible on my hair! It left it dry and puffy, not sleek and shiny! It took me weeks to admit to myself that it was the Dyson and not my products that was the problem because I’d spent so much money on it and it was supposed to be amazing. Well, not for me. So I returned it and bought the Harry Josh one, which I do love and get a great result from. But this Revlon one looks so easy to use and is smaller and better for packing. Thanks for the great review! PS - I remember you from MUA and have been watching your videos for months ;-)

    • @CarolCattle
      @CarolCattle 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      MSA , did you buy the Dyson Dryer or the Dyson Curler/ Dryer? I have the curler dryer and with the low heat setting and brush style I don’t lose hair. I think she was referring to the curler, but I live mine. It sounds like she never tried it as the in video she referred to the gal says it’s worth the money ... and she liked the Revlon also. I have thick, past my bra strap hair and don’t think the Revlon one would be easy on my hair. But I could be wrong ... I’ll look for a sale as they do different things.

    • @MarieSAnderson71
      @MarieSAnderson71 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cc I bought the dryer. I tried everything, including the low setting, changed up my products, and still my hair felt dry and tangly. I’ve since bought the Revlon one and it kicks butt! I love it and now use it practically every time I wash my hair. Check Ulta, I know they had it on sale recently but not sure if it was just a holiday deal.

    I've been curious about these. I just can't hold up a dryer and a brush because of blood circulation/light headedness issues but I can't resign myself to never having styled hair. Never seen a review of one of these things that intrigued me before.

      I never could get the hang of using two tools. Now, I occasionally have shoulder pain so it would be entirely out of the question. I just bought a knock off of this dryer, and definitely the size is deceiving - they are really not heavy! I wish I had stuck with the brand-name rather than a knock off *only* because the tip gets hot so sometimes I do need to get my other hand in there. That would be remedied by buying one of those heat gloves… I haven't bothered to do that yet

    Thanks, Risa for this review! I just picked it up at Ulta, using the link you provided. I can't WAIT to try this out. I have long hair, but very fine and needs tons a volume at the top, I've had to do for so many years the method you mentioned, blow-dry with a big brush and then go over with flat iron, only for that to remove my somewhat volume on top. I'm one I can't put tons of product on my hair, if not it will weigh it down and won't last at all. Thank you again!

    Risa~ I bought this dryer a year ago after seeing Lisa J Makeup do a video tutorial on her channel. It is a great, easy to use, and affordable dryer! My hair sits just at the top of my shoulders and the brush is bigger than I would like it to be. I am hoping Revelon will indeed put out a second version with a brush that's apx 1/2 the width of the current size. I've tried several other brush/dryer combo tools in the past...(have a drawer full of them..LOL!) this one definitely has more power than any of the others. The Dyson is intriguing, but there's no way I can justify spending $600 for one at this point in my life.
    XOXO~Christy~

Not sure if it’s my lack of technique or fine hair - probably a bit of both. Will keep practising. Thanks as always for your amazing content. Keep. It. Coming. 💖💁‍♀️

    Revlon makes a similar brush to this with smaller barrels! It has a red handle/body and three removable attachments, two being different sized round brushes. I bought it at Target to try out this technology earlier this year, and it works so well! But my hair is so long it takes me a while... I might have to try this bigger version now!

    Hi Risa! Have you had to run a flat iron though after using the drier?

    thank for the video. I have this dryer and love it although my hair is chin length it is harder to do but i make it work. My hair is fine but it straightens it and gives it volume and yes your hair stays beautiful all day. Your right i do wish they made it for shorter hair.

    Thank u for showing how great this Revlon tool is....I do have short hair and cannot just leave it....I either have to go super curly or straighten it.... letting it air dry creates frizzy poof.... I'm totally interested 💕💕💋

    OMG - I don't know how I missed this video - I typically watch all of yours since I found your channel from Lisa J. I have hair about your length - more wavy than curly, thick but fine. I am very excited to give this a try. I also love how your hair looks - I do mine more turned under but I like how yours is still around your face but a little less "styled" looking. Thanks for bringing this product to my attention. Once I find a deal, I'll give it a try.

    Girl...I thought I was the only one that would blow dry with a round brush and then flat iron. I style my hair the exact same way...sectioning and everything. Kinda spooky! I am going to try the little cocktail of oil and pommade at the end. Do you put any volumizing product in your hair before you start drying and Do you use any hairspray at all after?

    Will have to get my hands on this dryer. My hair is thin and frizzy and needs volume, like you I have tried all creams, potions, lotions, and nothing, nada, zip when it comes to volume . I always learn so much from watching your videos and I thank you, 😘😘😘😘😘

      I have thin short hair..inverted Bob cut...love this brush! It's bristles grab it so well and I finally get volume quickly!! Well worth it. It does take a little practice but so much easier then the blow dryer and round brush circus act 😊

    Hi Risa I appreciate the video I have a question could this be used with one hand??? I have Cerebral Palsy on right side I only have one hand and have a devil of a time blow drying my hair with regular dryer and brush .. I just thought this would be easier for me to use but all the videos i have seen using has use both hands and the dryer .. I know it is a dumb question but it is important to me to know before buying thanks ...Bev

    I’m so excited, I just bought this at Ulta for Black Friday, it’s 50% off and I had points to use so I got a killer deal! It sounds like your hair type is similar to mine, mine acts like it wants to be curly when air dried but usually just ends up poofy and frizzy 😂 Can’t wait to try this!

    This is great I’m going to try it!! My hair sounds like your very thick but fine with natural curl and wave but not perm type curl. I have tried every kind of dryer but too much hair need a bigger barrel like this. Thanks Risa!!

    Came here from your recent empties video. We have the exact same hair texture, and I love this tool, too!! Trying to figure out how to give a little more volume at the crown (my hair is longer), but otherwise, it’s a game changer. I let my hair air dry until my hair is slightly damp, then use the low setting. The high was damaging my hair despite using a heat protectant. The cool setting is nice to pass through after you’re done. It seems to make the style last a little longer.
    I’m also with you on the Dyson. At that price it would need to make my hair beautiful and clean my house. 😁

      @RisaDoesMakeup  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol, exactly! I am glad I never spent the money on it because this tool is incredible. I am now rough drying my hair with a regular dryer until it’s 80% dry and then using this just to smooth and style.

    Hi Risa idk how I missed this video but I did even though I try to go thru my list once a day to see if there were any videos I didn't get notified of. Oh my gosh I want this! It would help me out so much! My hands get so numb & it takes forever for me to blowdry my hair with a blowdryer & round brush because I'm constantly having to stop because one of my hands are too numb (I have fibro & possibly MS haven't had all the testing done yet can't afford it all) to hold either the brush or blowdryer this way I would only have to switch hands instead of stopping. I just wish it didn't cost so much but I'm going to put it on my Christmas wish list & maybe I might get lucky. Otherwise I won't be able to get it but that's ok if I don't then God didn't want me to have it. Thanks so much for your review! Have a very Merry & Blessed Christmas! {{{HUGS}}} from ky!

    We have similar hair. I love my volumizer! I use the low setting because it gets so hot. Then I blow thru with cool setting to help with frizz. So glad that you, too, have found this awesome product! Can you recommend any unscented or almost unscented hair products for frizzy hair?

  • @jenniferschauer5759

    I have this dryer. It gets so darn hot. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with mine. I’ve burned my hand on it a couple times. And I cannot get it close to my head or neck. I have noticed some breakage in my hair as well. I emailed revlon but have not heard back. Thoughts?
