As Death Row took off so did DJ Quik, the Luniz’s, E- 40, and several other West stars blew up Cube feared irrelevance because Snoop,Dre and Pac had become the faces of the West like he was in the late 80’s til 91/92 and you can see the subtle changes to Cubes music it’s was social political consciousness then he became more Black on Black hood violent in his subject matter from anti government rants to checking other outta pocket racial groups to throwing up W’s to having that Set tripping vibe looking for conflict that’s when people immediately noticed the comparisons had Cube not formed W.C.C he was rapidly becoming obsolete and didn’t want to fade from relevance like Public Enemy did.
To me, Cube is the most underrated rapper of all time. Easily top 10. People associate him with movies but had an all-time 3 album stretch. But comparing him to someone like Pac ain't right. Pac is the most significant artist of all time. It's not ironic that the Bay shows more love to Pac than LA does. Once Pac signed to Death Row, in weeks and months, he proceeded to take LA from Dre, Snoop, and Cube. Im sure the competitive juices took over and led to some hate.
Cube didn’t hate PAC he just wanted pac to get his own shine he didn’t feel like pac needed his voice sampled on the “Dear Mama” he felt like it was a such great song it would blow up without him or yo-yo and he was right.

Because he didn't put Pac on his top 15 list? He's entitled to his opinion. I love Pac and he's one of the greats, but damn, not everyone has to kiss his ass.
It's a lot of holes in this story bro. First off Cube did start the fore front of West Coast artist standing up against East Coast criticism. Mack 10's self entitled album came out in April of 1995, 3 months before 2pac was released from jail, and they dissed the East Coast hard on the song West Side Slaughterhouse and in the beginning of the song Foe Life. And even Cube was screaming West Side hard on the Lethal Injection album that came out in 1994. 2pac actually was the one who piggy backed off of Cube with the West Side and throwing up the W. The first ones to ever be vocal on wax about the East Coast was Cube and the West Side Connection. 2PAC didn't know this because he was in jail when Mack 10's album dropped. So when 2pac got released and dropped Hit Em' Up, Cube and them were almost finished with the West Side Connection album and was putting out the single Bow Down. So it looked like to 2pac that Cue bit Hit Em' Up but he actually didn't. So that's where the misunderstanding came from. But everybody knows Cube started screaming West Side and throwing up the W on the Lethal Injection album in 1994. Then they began to diss the East Coast first on WC's album on the song West Up, which came out in the beginning of 1995 when Tupac was in jail, and also on Mack 10's album, which was released april 1995 while 2pac was still locked up, in the beginning of Foe Life and flat out dissing on the song West Side Slaughterhouse. Tupac had his own personal vendetta against the East Coast that was overlapping with Cube and them vendetta which cause the misunderstanding. A lot of your stories about the beefs have a lot of holes in them like you're getting them from second hand gossipers lol. Do a little bit more research homie. But some things you do be on point with. Peace!

As Death Row took off so did DJ Quik, the Luniz’s, E-
40, and several other West stars blew up Cube feared irrelevance because Snoop,Dre and Pac had become the faces of the West like he was in the late 80’s til 91/92 and you can see the subtle changes to Cubes music it’s was social political consciousness then he became more Black on Black hood violent in his subject matter from anti government rants to checking other outta pocket racial groups to throwing up W’s to having that Set tripping vibe looking for conflict that’s when people immediately noticed the comparisons had Cube not formed W.C.C he was rapidly becoming obsolete and didn’t want to fade from relevance like Public Enemy did.
That's very true. Well said.
3 classic albums in a row
Ice Cube 4 life
Cube didn’t hate PAC he just wanted pac to get his own shine he didn’t feel like pac needed his voice sampled on the “Dear Mama” he felt like it was a such great song it would blow up without him or yo-yo and he was right.
Can’t confirm or deny. But what about the “California Slug” line?
2 Pac was always over rated by tha man.
This is fkn foolishness Pac & CUBE never had no beef stop posting foolishness for clicks ..clout chasing is played out bruh
Tupac stans have to understand Tupac ain't always right. Ice Cube have never sounded like Tupac. Tupac actually took from Ice Cube and admitted it.
"Stans" are Feminem fans. gtfo
Where do y’all be getting this misinformation from? This is straight up #Falsification Of Information! Bull ShiZNit to the #💯&50 % Degree. There was never 👎🏾 ever a beef or disagreement between Ice Cube🧊 & 2pac. Just listen to his CD 💿 Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. song 🎶 #5 Last Wordz featuring Ice Cube & Ice T. The Album 💿, CD 💿 or tape cassette came out in 1993.
I think Cube take on sigleton related to Pac role being a sucka The problem was me being tupac kicking my homeboy for a girl you just meet is a sucka move ! Is just a metaphore
For Cube and Pac being homies then Pac fucking with yoyo!
Thoughts?
Dont play with my yoyo!
#RIP2pac💙🙏🏿
They recorded a song together called last words and pac got the role in poetic justice when ice cube turned it down. Wheres the hate?
Biggie and Pac recorded a song together called Running and Pac and Biggie sat and had lunch together. Where’s the hate?
Your channel is amazing, keep these videos coming!
Thank you for your kind words Alfie, I’m glad to hear that you like my channel 🙏
Wow he didnt have him in his top 15 that speaks volumes...
I know right lol
No it don’t that’s his personal opinion why yall mad
Cube also had song with Tupac that he never put out
Talking about a sucka move...😭 Didn't cube fight deebo over a FEMALE cube you ain't no Gemini shut up 💯
Where in this video was it implied that Cube hated Pac? Because he thought Pac went too far on Hit Em Up? Well he did and a lot of people thought so at the time. Because he didn't put Pac on his top 15 list? He's entitled to his opinion. I love Pac and he's one of the greats, but damn, not everyone has to kiss his ass.
Pac was so paranoid that his fate was determined.
You can't survive long being paranoid 24/7.
Cube a way better rapper than Pac. I could name 20 other rappers who are better than him too.
Life 8s ahort. Fame is fleeting. Repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15 (while you still have breath in your body.
I love how he threw his brush before he left him.
lol 👍
Cube has always been different to me.The way he moves when there's a problem or an issue arising. It seems to me he's always been more strategic.
...dam right it was a good day
Hahah nice
Cube be in all those Disney movies, im not surprised he doesn't like Pac. He tries to act like hes not a industry dude.
Cube saying Hit Em up was too much makes him sound like he soft or a hypocrite.
I hate the censorship on this video. Makes it real hard to listen to it while I'm trying to other stuff
Cube was in his feelings over yo yo feelings toward pac
Cube was always overrated raps below average trash my opinion sell out
Pac was hated by the whole industry. Hate and Envy is a serious drug
Why everything had to be about him? Pac needed to relax smh
I like Cube’s music over 2pac’s.
Tupac greatest raper of all time 😉
💯
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial 😂😂😂😂

Makes no sense west siders hating on west siders
I thought Pac was from New York… 🤷🏽♂️
@monkiferr yup he was from New York but he was a west sider b4he died obvious if u ain't heard hit em up and lots of other songs he composed
PAC was never gangster rap
Pac always gets so much praise while Big L will never get the praise he deserves
Pac never claimed to be one.
@anthonyf596 IDGAF he should've wrote better raps or something FOH cuh 😒 😒
And he said it too
After the bid & multiple shootings
Peace!
Thanks for your input. Greatly appreciate it.
Cube overrated anyway my opinion
Damn everyone was jealous of Pac
Do you not know what beef is? A nice trip down memory lane but this vid is bogus lol
Thanks Fernando. Could you please enlighten us what beef is.
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial if you’re calling each other out on wax, that’s a beef. If you have a personal altercation with each other, that’s a beef. Two cats saying in separate interviews decades apart that they didn’t care for one thing the other person did professionally is not a beef. Putting why Cube “hates” Pac is a grossly misleading way to characterize it all. You’re welcome
Ah, thanks for enlightening us Fernando. For some reason I thought beef was: have a grudge, dislike, disagreement or problem with someone. So I’m guess you’re claiming Cube likes Pac?
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial those things could be but not this lol I thought you might have something I didn't know about in the vid, but no. Like I said, different interviews, different decades.
As to your question; yeah I do. Cube is a snake in the industry a little, at least he used to be, but I think he gets along with others for the most part. All his old beefs are pretty much squashed. He didn't have an issue with Pac while he was around
If anything, you would have a better argument saying Pac had an issue with Cube for how he grifted the East vs West mantra for himself. There's a different interview than the one you played where he sounds a little more intense about the situation.
Either way dude, ok vid minus the suggestion of beef
Thank for sharing your thoughts bro. Greatly appreciate it and I'm glad to hear you like the video. Minus the beef lol
No problem! Awaiting for a response.
Who cars f cube
This video about to be trash
Ice Cube
This is pure clickbait
Alonzo been exposed cube
Of course he didnt like him, he was NOWHERE near as famous as pac. Cube is a hater
Bruh. Wtf are you talking about?
@@psychobillynumbnuts1 what you cant read?
Ok, so what narcotics are you on then? 🤷🏽♂️
@@alsimmons993 all different kinds beeotch. You need me to break that down for you too?
PAC was banging YoYo and cube was salty
I really wish that these two chaps had of just swallowed their pride and just made up. They could have met up and had a man to man chat over a nice cup of tea, or a even a couple of bottles of '40' and talked it through.
No drive by's, no popping caps at each other just two men being proper men.
Think of what could have been... Collaborations on songs, even a joint album or something like that.
I hope that people learn by these homies mistakes and stop and think before reaching for their 'nine'.
Gangsta Fairytale
Im been liking Ice Cube for years, after he broke up with Westside connection because they jumped his brother in law. Cube is a down family man, his family comes first. No matter how famous he is
Jealousy 🤷♂️
I think pac was just bit disappointed by his hero not defending against disrespect from east against the overall west..while pac as a “less established” guy wouldn’t let that pass ..and unfortunately then it’s that cube followed
The answer is: cause tupac amari shakur is the GOD, the GOAT, an icon and a legend. Cube is ONLY a former rapper. That' s why he hated him.
It only old past
"Pac made an emphatic return with California Love".
INDEED he did my friend! That verse will always be legendary.
Now he can rap about how much he's getting shanked and how much his ass hurts. Happy holidays Eric. Have fun and be all you can't be.
