Great video. I have one of those Sheratons that I bought used for the giveaway price of $275. One of the best guitar bargains I’ve ever come across. Love the guitar. Epiphone build quality has improved in recent years.

I'm interested in buying one. I need it to be very versatile but I'm a little unsure how it would do harder rock stuff (Van Halen, Foo Fighters, Muse etc.)?
It obviously looks cool as hell and sounds great clean and dirty (blues, pop, jazz, etc.)

@@sumsar0125 I have a black 2015 model that I bought brand new and it is a FANTASTIC guitar. Easily competes with American guitars on a budget. At lower volumes it sounds great with drive and thicker distortion but once you turn up the volume it is prone to feedback but I personally really like that about semi-hollows. The feedback is great when you learn to control it. When I play I've easily gotten Foo Fighters and Muse type tones out of it, as well as older blues, rock, and jazz styles. The coil splits are a plus and can be pretty useful but I also have a strat so I personally don't use them much.

I picked up a 2010 Sheraton II this past weekend and it must have been a case queen since it is almost flawless. What a nice guitar! Epiphone really does a great job with this model and almost all of the reviews and comments about them are extremely positive and I agree, what a wonderful guitar. Sounds great, plays fast, great neck, and just a nice Epiphone find.

I saw you play this off against the dot and preferred the sherry all day long . Mine will be ebony with gold hardware .. For bluesy jazz or jazzy blues and more either side and inbetween, this will do it . Very nice playing yet again man 😎

Yes they can rock hard wirh very little feedback because they are semi Hollow bodies with a solid center block

I've watched this video three times. I love the Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl is famous for his Trini Lopez customs) and Coheed & Cambria (Claudio Sanchez is famous for playing Explorers). I used to have a Gibson Explorer, but want something that will give me a range of options. The Probuckers are (IMO) superior to the AlNiCo Classic Pro PUs, and while the latest Epiphone Explorer has the same PUs as the Sheraton II Pro, the Sheraton has more tonal options available. Besides, I want an actual Gibson to replace my old one (even though it originally had P90s that I replaces with SD Full Shreds). The Epiphone Dot or 335 still (as of now) comes with AlNiCo II Pro PUs, which can be a bit muddy, especially when compared to the ProBucker. There is a fine line between muddy and creamy, and the old Epiphone PUs just don't cut it. I really expected the latest 335 in olive drab green to get the ProBuckers, even the Lzzy Hale Explorer, but alas, no.

I really did not know much about Epiphone guitars just that they made Gibson clones. But with nothing to do one day spent an afternoon playing many other name archtop guitars and thinking well I guess I will have to learn how to get a good sound out of archtops. Then I plugged in a Sheraton II Pro . . . Left the shop without the guitar (wrong color - I don't need another black guitar. Naturally all they had was black). Later I had to look up online the correct way to pronounce Ephiphone. After playing the Sheraton I could swear it should be pronounced Epiphany. But no the way everyone pronounces it is correct.
