You went for it again. Good job. I didn’t make it to Homer when I was there last year. I was around Soldotna and Seward. I added catching a salmon to my bucket list.
Congratulations on the fishing trip of a lifetime!!! In 2016 Halibut was 20 dollars a pound in homer. Very good eating too. I am so happy that you got to do this. Brings back some great memories I camped on the end of the Spit in a Motor Home. Have you seen any Glaciers yet?

The drive into Homer is incredible; once over the rise, you see the vastness (HUGE cargo ships look REAL SMALL) in the bay. Then you see the spit that goes out into the bay. Great fishing too.

WOW, you guys are actually holding the rods and fighting the fish instead of leaving the rods in the rodholders and just wind the fish in. That's a pretty rare sight on youtube theese days when it's a movie from north america. Props:)
Toward the end I did leave it in the rod holder bc my arms got so tired but yeah it was fun to actually fight the fish full on!!!
I am 6'3 and about 220 and pretty fit but even i get tired from fighting fish the whole day if they are sizeable hard fighting fish so thats not just you. But doing the entire fight makes you feel like you have accomplished something instead of just winding the fish in with the rod in the rodholder. Well in my opinion anyway:)@@kellyhays23

They was a gray whale who make False Creek its home for a while, Orca's in the harbour is pretty common. They freak me out
