I‘m Swiss and living in Switzerland in Zurich, means I know all this wonderful places. But I‘ve never seen such well produced videos which shows the good side of living in Switzerland. Big compliment how you have done this. By the way, shame on me I was never on this Glacier Express from Zermatt to St. Moritz, I think I have to do this with my wife, it looks amazing. I think it‘s a lot of work, but you‘re doing this so professional and I love your perfectionism because I‘m also like this. Keep up this incredible work, it‘s awesome. Greets from Zurich.
First Class may not have a seven course meal, but it is 300 or more swiss francs less than the excellence class and you are going to the same location in the same train. Don't know about second class but I am certain it is even cheaper. Someone stated that there is another railway that starts with B that is just as good or maybe better as far as scenery viewing, but they never stated if they offer any type of special services (they did mention they have a food cart/wagon and that the food is good, but did not mention if they have several course meals or brought meals to the seats, or offered drinks as wanted or if it was extra for food...). I think the excellence class if you really need extra space to work and if you require food or drinks throughout the trip (on demand) be brought to you (dont know if glacier express has a food wagon or if it is all service). I would love to go on Glacier Express and maybe compare it to the other one if I ever have an opportunity to go to Switzerland more than twice, but as for the pricing it will definitely be a situation where I have a lot of money and I don't care. Almost 800 US dollars for one ticket is indeed expensive for certain but it may not be for others and the service is worthwile). Another thing she mentioned is that other railway company tends to be less frequented so there is more quietude whereas Glacier Express is more frequented so the cars tend to be full(er).
We just did the very same route one week ago. But we took a normal regional train. It stopped at every single place that had a train station. It also had a panorama carriage. It also had a restaurant carriage. It took much longer than the expensive luxury Express train full of tourists. We saw one at a crossing after Segnas where our train had to stop and wait until the Express had passed. That train was full. Ours .... we were alone and had the entire carriage to ourselves. Nobody was there except us. But our ticket only cost CHF 67 per person. It's worth catching this slow train, pay less than half, still see everything if not even more. No need to pre-book. Just go to the always empty counters at the station and buy it. It's the simple, normal train for the locals, and it's fantastic.
@@KimmyQueen They don't bring the food if you want a meal. But they have a restaurant coach, and they pass with a trolley every now and then. The seats were very comfortable but we travelled 1st class. It's still cheaper than 2nd class in the big Glaçier Express. The food is extra. It's about 40.-- per person if you have a whole meal. But still cheaper than the Express. But as I said, it's a so-called regio train and stops at every one-horse village on the route. But it was fantastic. The good thing is that you needn't book in advance. Just buy a ticket at any counter in the train station where you want to start your journey. Choose your own seat and enjoy the company of the locals. We loved every bit of it!
It's definitely the most expensive country I've been to as well! Realized that when we got here, haha. But for anyone who has the means to experience it, it's truly a remarkable place. Bucket-list worthy. Sending you love :) xxx

Advice for tourists.🇨🇭🥳 In general it is cheaper to pay a half price SBB pass at 180chf before your trip. This will allow you to pay half the price of the train, boat, glacier express etc. In general it is advantageous! Especially if you spend several days and have to pay several tickets
Yes! Such a good tip. We actually did this for our tickets. You get half off the seat price, but still pay full price for first class or excellence class. But it’s still a discount which helps a lot :)
Hello, planning to do this trip next year. We will be travelling from England so now doing a research. We will be travelling to Zurich then a train to (I assume we can get a train from the Zurich airport ) to Zermatt then Glacier Express. Where do you get this SBB pass? Is it better then to do this in person not online? I always like to pre book things to avoid any delays on the day. Thank you

OMG this is like dreamland!!! I'm totally convincing my husband and going there one day. Would you be doing an itinerary so we can follow your footsteps of this lovely trip? ❣️
I think you're a much better snowboarder than skier. But having fun is what it's all about. Having skied all over the world, including Zermatt, I can honestly say that Alta, Utah is my favorite...it's like skiing heaven on earth. Alta is the closest thing to skiing on top of clouds that I can think of...
Yes, I do hope you can do a TH-cam video of your upcoming Alta stay (if I may I be so presumptuous). I've skied Europe, New Zealand, Colorado, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, Canada, etc. Nothing compares to Alta. And I've skied enough backcountry to confidently say that "I'm lucky to be alive." My motto in my past life was: "If it's outside the boundary, then I'm in." But I would never recommend to anyone ever to ski outside the boundary ropes. I've skied with Franz Klammer, Harti Weirather, Jean Claude Killy, and Olympians from every Country in the world during the 1970's and 1980's. My favorite ski clothing brand over the past 50 years has been Bogner.@@HelenOwen
Dear Helen. What a lovely vlog. Just to see what your adventures are. You look soooo glowy and happy. May I ask what foundation did you use on your trip?
Love polo...though not the arena sand and snow polo. I like the classic polo such as the Abierto or the US Open. I've been lucky to see all the top 10 goalers and be credentialed media for the photography for past US Opens. I've Adolfo, JuanMa, the entire Pieres family, Facundo Sola, Mariano Aguerre.
