    if you read the burn chance text, you get 1 stack for every 100% chance. That's the point of going over 100%.
    You can get 2 stacks at 200% chance.
    I would test out what happens between those 100% breakpoints though, as it might actually still have a chance of applying +1 stack.

      Yeah I'm pretty sure it works the same way as additional attacks, ie, if you have 150% burn chance you'll basically have a 50/50 chance of applying either 1 or 2 stacks each hit

      You can go into a run and test this out, at least for me it didn't apply multiple burns (that may have to do with beta OR, as I dont want to exclude that chance, simply doing a wrong test), but for me the fire always applied 1 stack per hit. The enemies always had 25 or 50 in the beginning, depending on if 1 or 2 waves hit, despite bumping up burn chance

    i found Burn Damage on the wiki - 500 is max. it says: "Sets enemies on fire. Deals 25 damage every 0.5 Seconds for 5 Seconds. Can stack 20 times." That's still 5,000 damage since it's 10 ticks at 500 each.

    Just a note, if you banish a level of a weapon, you have to banish all options, for example as a level 1 dragon's breath by banishing Coverage, Flammability will still be in the level up list until you choose it, and all options for coverage get removed.

    With afflicition the initial burn will be around 28 dps and so on but sill cap at 500, yeah it suck I hope they increase it. But I think they are balancing it because the electric DPS duration is way more shorther than burn DPS, that is why electric stacks way more, because they get electricuted for 1 to 1.5 secs.

    How the hell did Dex not know Fire damage is capped at 20 stacks?
    I do believe applying more stacks while at max deal instant damage though.

      not only that but, it is DoT for fire damage so it is more than one instance of damage so if you hit the enemy once with one tick of 25 it hits multiple times

    I think weapons being affected by movement speed is purely a fix for how bizarre it is when you shoot and then outrun your shot. When making a space game, I ran into just this: your bullets need to be your velocity + the bullet velocity. But in a game like this where you can instantly change directions, you can't rely on that, and just need to make your bullets always faster than you.

    Suggestion for a build idea / challenge, NO MOVE, NO ATTACK, NO ABILITIES, gear only retaliation build. ( With exceptions )
    Exceptions, about to die, boss or enemy won't move toward player and attacks from far away (BTW, I think Thornfist hurts distant targets!)
    Exceptions allow, movement, & main attack but no abilities (good time to grab nearby powerup or exp!)
    Summons allowed (you're not really attacking).
    I tried this, w/ Shield maiden, and died pretty quickly, but it feels like a fun challenge after beating the game :)

    Burn chance is pretty easy to explain though. I thought you already knew how stacking worked. Every 100% burn chance gives 25 burn damage to an enemy. Burn damage can stack up to 500 damage per tick. And it stacks when you hit an enemy more. So if you have 200% burn chance, every attack will add 50 burn damage per tick. Of course, with a decent setup you'll be stacking burn from multiple attacks and multiple weapons, so the little higher chance of burn you get can result in quite a bit overtime.
    That being said... burn damage is kinda bad. It tops out at 500 and that's just pretty terrible for bosses and doesnt really mean all that much for groups either. Electrify tops out at like 2000, if not more. Doesn't really help that the electric weapons themselves are just better overal either even before counting electrify damage.
    By the way, the other day I did a shield maiden build that focused as much on block defense as I could do (for the 3 millions shield damage achievement). Of course there would have likely been a way to push it a bit more with equipment. Anyhow, with over 100 block defense the character was almost invincible. Nothing could damage it other than a few enemies. I think in the 3rd stage just the red gargoyles, ghost wall and maybe some projectiles but not sure about the latter. The boss couldn't really damage me either as long as I didn't let him hit me directly with his main body. I think his ghosts had a small chance of dealing damage, but I don't think any of the boss' other attacks did anything. I didn't even grab any other weapon until I had like 10 minutes left.

      I had 130% Burn Chance and every attack applied 25 burn damage when I did the test run. I also thought it would apply 2 stacks at a 30% chance, but it didnt

      @@DexTag Hmm... but what if you apply 4 stacks? It would reach more than 500% for 4 hits, meaning it should do 125 for that amount of hits. Basically maybe it works so that it doesn't apply the next stack until the next 100% is reached?
      I suppose it could also just be bad. I'll test it out after work (well, regardless of how it works I do suppose it's already bad).

    Id like to see the try progress aswell and not just the final product where you know every single detail. Would have been fun to see a vid that wasnt prepared before hand or like a challenge where you can only take whats in the nr 1, 2, 3 or 4 spot thw whole way.
    Dont get me wrong tho, I thourougly enjoy these vids, but its also interesting to see the fails and attempts foe science, to see how you think in regards to why a change would need to happen for said ability or trait.
    Keep up the fun vids tho, cant wait for more ball induendo jokes. ❤

    I'd love to see you do a run based around only scaling the burning damage, affliction application, and attack speed of consecrated aura. maybe throw in transfixion for the effect chance upgrade.

    Seems like the only really effective way to primarily kill with burn damage is to also use Affliction, but I can't think of a way to apply it that doesn't also do tons of damage/use up doubling pots like consecrated aura

    You can be over 100% chance to apply effects like burn and electrify to apply more then one stack of it at once.

    Flamer with crit damage and attack speed is insane. Good mob clearing because it still procs fire but ridiculous single target damage for a base weapon.

    i think that if you bump up the damage and take the stream upgrade, it would perform way better because of the burning damage being capped

    I have managed to stack burn up to 1000 (maybe plus) and i think it happens with radiant shield burn upgrade, i think that burn counts as a different one and stacks above the normal one maybe even infinitely.. Check it out!

    Wouldn't affliction here increase the dmg over time? I heard you say it on a old video, i don't know if it still increases this way

      Yea, IIRC its 20%, but 20% more damage (so 600) for the sacrifice of taking another weapon is meh. If it would allows it to infinitely stack I could justify it, but not with such a minor increase. The real issue is that the 500 is just such a huge disappointment.
      Why can I get 40+ Electrify stacks dealing 4k+ damage, but I am limited to 500 burn damage (which, to be fair, is still 20 stacks, but yea)

    if you take the electric ring, you could stack electrify with flamethrower at the same time as stacking burn with dragon's breath... maybe that would work better

      Affliction debuff also increases burn and electrify damage.

    Dragon Breath looks more like a wave of fire, while it's Fire Stream evolution looks more like Fire Breath. Don't know why that's the case but cool nonetheless.

      Pretty sure it doesn't. Might reach the cap faster. But you reach the cap easily already so... it's kinda pointless. Burn is just awful and needs a major buff.

    You should do some runs with shieldmaiden I think it is the most powerful, doubling the 30% BASE crit damage(All) is crazy on most weapons.

    i feel like the limits on everything will ruin the games potential long run. 500 burn damage is irrelevant because you are gonna one shot most mobs before the burn even ticks and on bosses a 500 limit is literally nothing when abilities are hitting 2-4k at a much higher rate of speed. Also the levels limiting what upgrades you can get makes every playthrough feel linear and not as random as a traditional roguelite. Removing these limits would allow the devs to make much more challenging stages in the future and diversify the playthroughs a lot more.

    ability lvl and count of channel subscribtions.
    So trying to increase it by pushing the
