My parents purchased that exact camper new in 1978 and we traveled across county in 1979. Departed from Upstate NY and traveled to California for 6 weeks and saw so many National parks. It was an amazing trip and so many wonderful memories we will always cherish. We all still camp today with our families. Enjoy!!
As we have a small old camper we used with our 8 children, I think of all the memories that took place in this small little "home on wheels." Nostalgic. I pray you have many good memories here as the previous owners no doubt did. : )
OMG you need to keep it as original as possible. This is so awesome. Love it, love the pot you found & the lantern. OMG I would LOVE to be able to own a vintage camper like that one. I'm too old already but I can't wait to see you both restore that gem, this is gonna be FUN, thanks for bringing us along ♥
My parents are RVer's and most of those pieces of wood are to help level the camper. Even though ithe camper probably has leveling jacks on it many campsites are so sloped you will need the wood blocks to finish leveling it.
If you have a spongy spot on the floor, odds are that there is some rot and a good chance of mold. Your emptying and scrubbing will definitely help, but if you find that you are still sneezing inside, do a check for mold. It can really not make your day fin. I like the camper and am looking forward to seeing how you renovate it!
There are mold "bombs" just like bug ones. The good thing about them is that they get every nook & cranny since they're airborne. We've used them in mildew basements.
OMG that pot you found with the orange flower is from the EXACT same pots and pans set used on That 70s Show! My grandma has that set as well. I use the small pot to make top ramen ALL the time 😂 They must have been really common back then! So cool!
Please please please don't let him get under that thing without jack stands!!! Our local car community just lost someone because they didn't use jack stands on a solid surface, and I can't imagine what would happen if you lost Connor to that. Especially when you don't know what condition the suspension is in, and it is 40+ years old.
I agree, so very true. Hoping the creaky soft spot on the floor isn't from water damage. I imagine Connor & your dad checked for that & on the roof, the water tanks underneath. Best wishes to you. Feel better.
I’m so glad you appreciate the old style of these older campers!! They left so many treasures for you-great family owned it for sure! I have an 87 Nomad, I have made it my own while but keep the vintage style that makes it so cute!! Good job and can’t wait to see more:)
I live in a 1974 mobile home and love this camper ! I've been following you for years, and started off loving the 50s like you and gradually came to live in the 70s so I'm excited to see you take on this aesthetic too!
You have some amazing vintage treasures!! That coffee pot is the best! Soooo looking forward to see how you and Connor restore this beauty... you will make it special with your eye for decorating! God bless!
I do tent camping and backpacking not camper camping but I have that exact percolator (hint: in order to get it to really work well you have to make a full pot but I just store the excess that I cant drink in the first day and reheat it in the base of the percolator with the basket taken out for subsequent days. If we are staying in one place I will just take the basket out and leave the liquid in and store it in my cooler - once it has completely cooled off! If we are hiking on I put it in a leak proof bottle and just pour enough back in at the next site for the next day's coffee). I also use our "toaster" a ton! It is a bread sized and shaped open weave steel basket on 2 arms with an attached "lid" piece that you put the bread in (or we can fit a whole grilled cheese sandwich in it) and you use a bracket to suspend it over the coals like a spit (2 y shaped sticks work well as the bracket). Its a quick and easy way to heat things up without crowding coal space and we can put other things besides bread or sandwiches in it as long as it is something that requires slightly more indirect heat and is bigger than the holes it works!
I had a set of pots like the one you found with the orange flower 🥰🧡. Also I’m pretty sure the dishes are ‘melamine’. Great stuff, lasts forever! Definitely 50’s. Have fun!
I love that flooring so much. If you do have to repair that spot maybe you could carefully cut around and remove what you need to and then use the flooring from inside the cabinets to patch that area and put something else inside of the cabinets! Or make the entrance have a wooden landing area and then the rest of the flooring be original? I would probably try to do something like that if it was me, so I just wanted to throw that out there.
You need to be careful with that original flooring. It is beautiful and sucks that it has a soft spot, but taking it up can be dangerous to your health. Most likely has asbestos backing and that can cause serious health damage.
Super cute camper! Here's a thought: maybe you could keep the table space on the right as a bed full time, and have the table on the left as your sole eating space. Maybe that way you could invest in a comfy (larger) cushion that wouldn't need to fold up, so it could serve as a bed and a lounge area! It might help it feel more cozy and permanent!
Since your video was on my recommendation I've bindged watched all your videos!!so excited for everything to come💕love your style, personality, editing ❣️fellow vintage person here for it alllll
you found a gem!! i love all the wood & i hope you keep it but i think some may need to be painted just to brighten things up a little & make the space feel less heavy!! but I really hope you keep the original upholstery on the chairs & such. the colors are beautiful!!
Have you seen the Classic movie "The Long, Long Trailer" with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnas?? This video made me think of that!!!! ❤❤❤ Honey Belle( I think she's Southern! 😁)is going to be SOOOOOO cute when you finish with her! 😊😊
Casey LJ YESS!! I love that movie! I think that’s what first made me want a camper, it’s such a great film! Honey belle is definitely a southern girl😂💛🍯💓
It's one of my favorites!!!! I hope you own it on DVD, I do!!!!!!.......If not, Amazon shopping is a must!!! How fun to watch WHILST camping!!! ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Honey, honey, honey, in the future while working on your camper: wear a facemask and gloves. When you took down the shower curtain my stomach cringed. Anyway, congratulations on your trailer. I'm sure when you you are finished, it will be beautiful.
We use our toaster just to make toast, waffles, and bagels. There is also an insert/sleeve thing you can get to make a grilled cheese/toasted sandwich in the toaster. I have never tried it but I heard they are nice. We usually just use it to mainly make toast for breakfast or lunch though. Most cooking, for us at least, is in a cast iron on the fire. I highly suggest trying to find some cast iron pans with lids also a rack to hold the pan and go over the fire. We love campfire food! 😋🥰 So excited to see more!
Awesome, looking forward to seeing how this turns out, looking to do the same soon after this whole COVID thingy resolves itself... have been eyeing some & like yrself love projects!
I love that in all of your 70's stuff you cleaned out of the camper you found a british copy of Monopoly. I wonder how a british copy and not an american copy ended up in your camper? I would love it you made a video about the game.
The floor is delaminated at the door, you should be able to buy a kit to fix it which involves drilling holes in the floor and injecting a special glue which relaminates the floor
I would keep it close to original as you can the owners, looked like they took really good care of this camper. If this is vintage, then my camper must be older than dirt, we have a 1964 Oasis camper, we are working on.
The camper looks in such great condition for it’s age and the price. I’d say you got a great bargain. You got a lot of great 70’s items in there too. I hope you can keep it as 70’s as possible. Subscribing to see what you do with it.
If you do not use a toaster very much while home, you probably won’t when camping. You should try selling things From the camper on ebay. I bet someone will even buy the cushions!
If you do have to replace the floor it would look really pretty if you hard wood unless, your not replacing some of the walls which I dout LOL! But, I will g look for some cute floors for you!! LOL
im gonna be a debbie downer here lol. it makes me soooo sad when ppl renovate vintage campers. the way ppl do it/the styles they all use (which is normally the same more or less) its like - just get campers from the 2000s. stop re-doing hard to find 60s/70s/80s campers unless your going to keep everything in it and just clean it up!
You don't think you will use a toaster? Really? Huh. Of coarse, not everybody likes coffee either. I can't imagine a camper without a Kureg. Your camper will look great when you are done.

Karissa Butts STOPPP! I love that show, now I need to watch it and look for them! I’m definitely going to showcase this pot now 😂😍
LOL I knew you had to watch that show haha
70s/80s probably two of the best decades ever . Congrats on all the little finds and treasures.
I would have loved that Mexican blanket!! It is all the colors you find in every room of my house. The tree wall paper is great!
Please please please don't let him get under that thing without jack stands!!!

Love your channel and wanted to tell you to please save the dark baking pans in oven. They too are hard to find. Good luck. I will be watching.
I had a set of pots like the one you found with the orange flower 🥰🧡. Also I’m pretty sure the dishes are ‘melamine’. Great stuff, lasts forever! Definitely 50’s. Have fun!
I want a camper & I don’t do camping 🏕 lol 😂 Adorable camper!
BonbonsAndBooks ❤︎ haha😂😂 maybe a camper would make you like camping!
Our Little Nest maybe I am allergic to everything part of the issue lol 😂 the great outdoors
Totally agree! I don’t do dirt and my Idea of camping is the Holiday Inn because they don’t have room service! Hahaha
This is so fun to watch - I grew up camping in one very similar so it's like a trip down memory lane. It's great that you see its beauty!
I just love your vibe and positive personality!!
loveforeignaccents wow thank you so much!!
I’m so excited to follow along and see what you do with honey 🍯 I love your style 🤍

If you rip up the floor you might want too see if the floor has asbestos in it first! Super cute camper!
And possibly mold if spongy near entrance from leak.
Since your video was on my recommendation I've bindged watched all your videos!!so excited for everything to come💕love your style, personality, editing ❣️fellow vintage person here for it alllll
Maria Casella AW! Thank you so much, that makes me so happy to hear! I appreciate such a sweet comment💓
Am so happy to see something on your vision board come true !! I would love a camper or rv for family trips one day
Just recently discovered your channel and I’m OBSESSED !! I love your home reno videos looking forward to more!
im loving this series. so cute :)
cant wait for more to come
I have a set like the orange pot. I used to have a blue set just like it. Passed the blue set on to my daughter.
Ghost Busters! You two are so cute! Really enjoying you sharing this project.
I have a pot / pan really similar to the one with the flowers on it. It's been in our family since new I believe.
you found a gem!! i love all the wood & i hope you keep it but i think some may need to be painted just to brighten things up a little & make the space feel less heavy!! but I really hope you keep the original upholstery on the chairs & such. the colors are beautiful!!
So awesome to see a camper actually being used and enjoyed! Must be filled with great vibes :-)
That’s nice sweetie I’m 60s girl all that stuff is so awesome you guys scored!!😉
omg so adorable !!!! and yes my family always uses our toaster when we go camping ! 😂
We are in the middle of renovating a vintage caravan aswell...so much fun
Honey is beautiful! I hope she stops bothering your sinuses... 🤒💕
Kelly Delaney thank you! Me too, I really wanted to reuse the cushions in there but re-fabric them but now I’m worried it’ll just make me sneeze 🤧
Excellent finds. Would be cool to find an old family photo of the family on a trip with camper. Can't wait to see the progress.
how long do you foresee the reno taking?
AHH so so anxious to see how it will turn out!!! Can't wait! Now you're literally making us all want a camper haha

The best thing about the older campers is the awning windows. The new campers do not have the air movement like the old.
Wow I just started working on my old camper looks almost like yalls ha ha what a cool channel .... Cheers
Honey, honey, honey, in the future while working on your camper: wear a facemask and gloves. When you took down the shower curtain my stomach cringed. Anyway, congratulations on your trailer. I'm sure when you you are finished, it will be beautiful.
Just found your channel. Congrats on the camper. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
The anti-skid mats can just through the washer.
If you found a soft spot in the floor you're going to have to take up the flooring and fix the sub floor and figure out where the leak came from.
Use the yoga mats from Walmart to line your cabinets. The cut well and stay in place.
We use our toaster just to make toast, waffles, and bagels. There is also an insert/sleeve thing you can get to make a grilled cheese/toasted sandwich in the toaster. Hello Jones those are such great ideas!! We will definitely get a cast iron pan!
This is so relaxing to watch... so I subbed 😊 I’m also buying a camper soon so it’s fun to look at this ♥️👀
The camper is so cute 😭 I really hope you keep it as original as possible. Good luck!☺️ x
omg.... I'm soooooo excited to see you renovating that camper🥰🥰🤩
You HAVE GOT TO add the link for that vaccuum in the description!👌🏾
gloves!! I always wear gloves when cleaning a new place that's not mine
Ahwww these are serious goals .... great great video guys enjoyed it so much . Sending blessings and love ❤️
The wood is to help level the camper 👍🏼
That’s what I was going to post.
Honeys adorable have a look at Kristen kaspers video how she renovated her rv looks so cute xxx
Love the pot holders! I made them too😂
It’s easy to accumulate stuff in a trailer
Nice camper find.
"Who ya gonna call" lol. Have fun
If you have to take that piece of floor out you may be-able to find a place that can duplicate the floor pattern for you just look in to it
Can't wait for the after completion! tfs 💖💖🍯💖💖
So this is a 1979 Fleetwood Prowler. Does anyone know how long of a camper this is?
I had those flowered pots.. had the whole set in my early days.
Use good old fashioned white vinegar and water as a cleaner after you finish using soaps, it will cut the residue and help with allergens :)
Can’t wait to see what you’re doing to the camper next. 😍
Awesome, looking forward to seeing how this turns out, looking to do the same soon after this whole COVID thingy resolves itself... have been eyeing some & like yrself love projects!
So excited to see what it's gonna look like in the end, probably amazing :D
We use a toaster....but the best thing we have is an Instant Pot....
I’m confused! Are there 2 dining tables?
What vacuum do you use?
You hit the jackpot!
I love that in all of your 70's stuff you cleaned out of the camper you found a british copy of Monopoly. I wonder how a british copy and not an american copy ended up in your camper? I would love it you made a video about the game.

You should have a look at "Tiny House Giant Journey" here on TH-cam, she renovated a mini vintage camper last year and it came out so pretty😊
have you seen the diy mommy's camper redo?
Wow…. This is so cool….😃
Em. Your camper is so cute. Where can we share our ideas?
Why you not wearing glue while u cleaning it out. But nice camper.
It’s all Yours now. Looks like a lot of useable stuff.
If you do have to replace the floor it would look really pretty if you hard wood unless, your not replacing some of the walls which I dout LOL! But, I will g look for some cute floors for you!! LOL
No toaster ever at my house. Cause it pops up and I pass out
Good buy!!!
You will use the toaster!
Make sure to wear a face mask to protect yourself from cleaning chemicals and dust when you start to gut everything!
Also, that’s amazing that you found games & are keeping it authentic! You’re going to make so many amazing memories in the future!
Copper bottom pans bring lots of money....check out ebay...before donating.
Make sure you put a mask on due to the dust in the camper just saying dear. Nice camper though.
You should wear a mask when you work on her until you get her cleaned up! Allergies are nightmare for me, so I feel your pain.
❤❤❤❤❤
im gonna be a debbie downer here lol. it makes me soooo sad when ppl renovate vintage campers. the way ppl do it/the styles they all use (which is normally the same more or less) its like - just get campers from the 2000s. stop re-doing hard to find 60s/70s/80s campers unless your going to keep everything in it and just clean it up!
Very nice 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
If you didn’t keep those cushions, you may be able to sell them for a lot. Ppl love them.
You don't think you will use a toaster? Really? Huh. Of coarse, not everybody likes coffee either. I can't imagine a camper without a Kureg. Your camper will look great when you are done.
Nobody is allergic to honey are they?
Keep the toaster
Put on some gloves. We bought a used camper. It was very nice but needed cleaning.
FYI the monopoly game is worth $
This will be cool! Just a suggestion… you need to work on your dialogue because you said “ummm” a zillion times
