I finally got around to watching this video and some of the comments were so disappointing. I hope you know that the camper is turning out beautifully and it's awesome that you're showing the journey! You're doing what a lot of us dream about and that's so impressive! I'm super pumped to see the end result 😍😍
agreed! i think you are doing an amazing job! Yeah mom and dad too. I love watching your videos. I just bought a 74 skylark and about to go pick it up tomorrow. Yikes:)
if the handles and knobs were brass you could boil then in vingear for 3-4 minutes and then lightly scrub with 0000 steal wool. I've done it to my thrift dressers and they look amazing.
My favorite 70s band is Fleetwood Mac! The trailer is coming along nicely. I love seeing all of your updates, they make me so excited to see the finished product!
That's so nice that your mother's helping you! My mom wouldn't step into a camper especially if it smelled like the 70's. Allergies and she only went camping 1 time and she said it would be her last time doing so and that was in 1970's . But it looks like fun, great job!
We have a huge lifted truck it scares me too 🤣 when you said the squiggly line I was like yep 😅👏🏻👏🏻 I had to move it the other day & I has nervous too ! 😆🐝💛
No one naturally knows how to do renovations.. we all learn. Watching and doing it with your dad is how you learn! And one day you'll know how and wish you were still doing it together.
Helpful hint/tip.... Boiling the hardware for around 30 min with white vinegar in the water removes ALL grease and gunk build up. This leads to a lot less elbow grease needed. It works fabulously!
I love your camper videos! My hubby has a salvage yard so ive begged him into letting me keep both a 70s camper and a one of those old vans with curtains and like the back seat turns into a bed... we are remodeling this house we bought a few houses from where we live now so i plan to use a number of your videos as reference... however now i cant wait to get the house move in ready so I can begin on my camper too!! I love yours its adorable
Look into using fabric paint for the awning! Not sure how it would hold up over time but I’ve used it before on an outdoor umbrella and it’s help up pretty well!
wowww new roof//great idea//i like that you are a great group of people that that strip things down to the nitty gritty and you do not put a bandaid on anything//to many people do that //you do not//i love your work//its out of this world//i keep showing your work on my facebook//all my friends and i love everything you have been doing to this trailer//i will put this out there as well//
I started watching your videos for the first time about an hour and a half ago.. I refresh TH-cam and you posted 56 minutes ago.. I AM SO HAPPY!! Subscribed 💕
When I was with this one guy, he had a big lifted up truck, the tires were almost as big as me (I’m 5’2). I drove it at least 5x and I barely could see over the steering wheel. One time on a back road that no one drives on, I sat on my leg just so I could see. He would joke with me all the time about possibly getting me a booster seat just so I could drive it 😂
I just found this channel ---I like it! You're doing some great work! I saw your beach haven hoodie -as I'm watching you from LBI, sweet! I can imagine you can teach my timid self a lot, so I'll keep watching. Have a great day! ~Mary & fam in NJ
Will you paint the inside of cabinets. Where it won’t interfere with sliding in and out. I like to do it to make it more sanitary. I also clean a ton before.
Elysia English on TH-cam is also renovating her camper and put the door knobs and handles into a pot on the stove on low boil and it removes all the dirt and grime!
Just a heads up you probably wont read this but the primer and paint can be mixed where you purchased it and you should always do that thats why it was thick at the bottom
em i took all the old door knob off here in my home/they were older then dirt//lol//i soaked them in two cups of white vinegar and one cup of white table salt 2cups of water//leave over nite and i will tell you its unreal how clean they came out//its on the internet//under//getting copper and brass silver clean//i promise it works//my mom told me they used it when she was a kid in brooklyn.//she is 80 now god bless her//so cheap to do when your trying to save..i wanted to let you know that..
Did you check out Elysia English's channel? Yesterday they took off the cover of their bathroom on the roof and they found moss growing there! Also one of her subscribers told her to boil the knobs in water on the stove. They came out lovely, but she painted them anyway. I feel like both you and her are working on the same things. Love the series.
LOL I'm the one in the relationship who has a giant lifted truck with the loud exhaust. I'm a tiny lil lady myself but I couldn't imagine having another small vehicle ever again.
Im soooooo very happy for you//If you miss that wall paper you can buy 70s wall paper just like that//maybe its a god sent to change it//i believe you can still make your trailer vintage///for sure//
I bet your dad would be happy to teach you how to do things. I love watching Mary Yoder on The White Cottage Company. She uses power todos all the time.
Is there a place that has links to all of the stuff you’re using?! My husband and I are about to start a similar project on an old camper and we could use as much help as we can get!
Oh also, I HATE driving my husband’s truck. And not only because of how big it is but also because of how protective he is of it. Haha. So I can 100% relate!
You need to remove the wallpaper on the walls not paint and tile over. When that wallpaper stops sticking all by itself, it will fall off with your tiles.
Have you looked on pinterest for inspo? you could save a lot of space by removing the dinette and just putting a small actual table and chairs to make it look more open.
I dunno when I found your channel but I for sure love your content! I could watch y’all Reno anything so ....maybe get an hbtv show? You’re way more interesting than 90% of their shows!
I actually drive a bigger truck than my husband 😂. He drives a little ‘97 ford ranger and I drive a lifted Ford Explorer with tires that come up to my hips😂
Our Little Nest it actually took me a while to drive it. I had anxiety and driving was one of my things I couldn’t bring myself to do. But my husband couldn’t take off of work every time I needed to do something and we have two kids so I needed to get over it and drive. So I did. And I’m much happier.
In the last video I said that we had to change plans because there was tons of water damage. Still keeping the original floor but it’s ultimately my camper that I will be traveling and living in. That being said I have to make it look and feel comfortable for me☺️ stay safe!

Thank you SO much!! People get so angry about someone else’s home, it’s sad! I’m excited to make it look how I want💕💕
@@OurLittleNest You know what you're doing and that's all that matters! I always love the content💕

Ahhh Elisha, I was just thinking about you and your camper journey while watching this!!! Love seeing the support between channels ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Elysia English I found your channel too last week! 😄💜
I'm a big Elysia English fan too like you. If you aspire to be like her and Phillip you and your husband will do a great job!😊
Please keep the outside the terra-cotta/ orange / beige stripes !!!

Your camper is looking so beautiful, it's really coming along nicely! I can't wait to see the finished product. Great job, Em and Conor!
Thank you Claire!

I HATED driving my husband's when we first got it! Unfortunately it was our only vehicle to I had to for awhile. I got used to it those :)
This channel has been such an inspiration for my own creative channel! Thank you for sharing!! Keep shining!
Aww thank you! I will have to check out your channel☺️
Our Little Nest yes please do! I’m a rookie for sure but learning so much everyday. I’m having a blast with video!!

Hello! You are all working hard, the end result will give you a lot of satisfaction and you will love it even more! Good continuation!🤗🙌🙌🙌
Thank you!
@@OurLittleNest 🤗🤗🤗😊
Love the long videos. So happy to see honey moving along greatly and is that a new merch design i see
It was one I made last year actually but never went through with, do you like it?! I do have new merch for honey though! I’m still finalizing it !
@@OurLittleNest yes its soo cute and can't wait!!❤
The Emotions "Best of my Love" oh & Stevie Wonder, the Jackson 5, I could go on.
my boyfriend has to drive a ford transit for work and the whole back is shelves and a blocked back window. won't even turn it on for him lol
Omgggg! Even worse!!!
Wow this is great I can’t wait to see this cute camper on the rd in a vlog when you guys are all done! Keep up the good work!! 💗
Sooo excited to travel in it! We’re already trying to plan a Disney trip🐭✨
Our Little Nest Disney’s always fun
Has the roof vent held up well? Do you remember which one you bought off of Amazon? I’m trying to find one for ours! :)
My hubby has a truck and I love it! I usually drive it on trips!
That’s amazing! I can drive my dad’s normal sized truck but Connor’s is too big for me😂💛
Will you paint the inside of cabinets. Where it won’t interfere with sliding in and out. I like to do it to make it more sanitary. I also clean a ton before.

I love this series, I think you're the first channel I turned notifications on for lol.
That is so sweet! 💛 thank you😘

No way I could choose a favorite band or song...but I LOVE Chiquitita by abba every time!
Abba is definitely up there on my list!!

Your camper is going to look great!💞
Thank love!
What was the primer you used inside? A Benjamin Moore one??
Fleetwood Mac! The album Rumors specifically! Love your vids and vicariously living through you!
Loveeee!
The awning would go and a new roller style would go in. Lol it's 70s for sure
What type of knife did you use for the wood putty?
A putty knife!
Definitely recommend a good fleetwood mac playlist for your next project! They are my favorite 70s band
Good idea!!
You should see how 'Kristen Kasper' redid her camper farmhouse style..its cute & some easy diys too
How cute! I will have to check her out!
Love these camper videos
Next time you clean dirty handles boil them first, then scrub them and they will look new!
You can also put the awning poles straight up and down out front, you don't have to put it on the camper
Such amazing progress!! This makes me sad that I’ve just finished my home projects, time to go onto the next one haha🌷
I hate finishing projects! It’s so fun to see the result but I never want them to end haha💛
i love rose gold paint//worth every penny//
💛💛
LOL I'm the one in the relationship who has a giant lifted truck with the loud exhaust. I'm a tiny lil lady myself but I couldn't imagine having another small vehicle ever again.
Thin Lizzy, awesome 70s band!!

Oh cool! I will look!
yay!!! so excited for this. thank you for the longer video💗
Yay! Glad you like it! I thought it was going to be even longer but somehow only ended up at 13 mins!
I wonder if you can tint the awning??? Like car leather paint?
Ohhhh! Good idea!
Is there a place that has links to all of the stuff you’re using?! My husband and I are about to start a similar project on an old camper and we could use as much help as we can get!
I actually am filming a camper haul video tomorrow and it will be posted Wednesday with all the links of things I’ve showed so far & more!
Our Little Nest Awesome!! That will be so helpful!! Thank you! ❤️
Oh also, I HATE driving my husband’s truck. And not only because of how big it is but also because of how protective he is of it. Haha. So I can 100% relate!
Fleetwood Mac 💕 forever the jam lol
💛💛🍯
I just love the original wallpaper. I hope you keep it
So sad to see that beautiful wood being covered up but I realize we all have our own tastes.
is that our little nest merch we see in the clip with cleaning the hinges?? 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Another tip use enamel paint that way it wont chip or fade you could use as a top coat
You need to remove the wallpaper on the walls not paint and tile over. When that wallpaper stops sticking all by itself, it will fall off with your tiles.
They use a different type of paper in campers. trust me it’s not coming off! We’ve painted over wallpaper so many times and never had an issue
Have you looked on pinterest for inspo? you could save a lot of space by removing the dinette and just putting a small actual table and chairs to make it look more open.
The dinette is another sleeping area so by removing that we would be losing a spot for guests!
Janis Joplin was technically 60s but I love her music. I have her face tattooed on me. :)
How cool!
I dunno when I found your channel but I for sure love your content! I could watch y’all Reno anything so ....maybe get an hbtv show? You’re way more interesting than 90% of their shows!
Have you thought of painting the awning ?
I’m not sure how it would hold up since it’s plastic and gets rolled. But that’s a great idea! I’m going to look into it!
Honey is looking beautimiss😘
Thank you!💛
Abba Dancing Queen
Always a good choice!
My fiancé drives a 1995 F150 and it’s lifted 6 inches with giant tires....I am TERRIFIED of driving it 😂 I know the anxiety
Hahah😂 it’s so scary😭
I actually drive a bigger truck than my husband 😂. He drives a little ‘97 ford ranger and I drive a lifted Ford Explorer with tires that come up to my hips😂
That’s amazing!! You go girl!! I need to take lessons from you😂

But my husband couldn’t take off of work every time I needed to do something and we have two kids so I needed to get over it and drive. So I did. And I’m much happier.
You can paint the awning of your camper,
Waited for this video
Yay!!🐝🍯
If you put your handles, in boiling water, it gets old greese and grime off.
That’s so smart!
Led Zeppelin, of course!
do inside edging too, or u will see it and will look unfinished
you can get a new one or clean it up//or maybe agree on a fav color together//
My husband wants me to drive his huge truck all the time but I can never get myself to do it 😆
So scary!!😂
Bands , Asia , yes, of course led zeppelin, pink Floyd, just for starters . 😎 (abba)
Don’t tell me let me guess. . .white and gray???
Negative
Carol King,
people painting over wood always breaks my heart
Most of it is not actual wood, just the cabinet doors!
You said you were going to keep it as original as possible.... not seeing that.
In the last video I said that we had to change plans because there was tons of water damage. Still keeping the original floor but it’s ultimately my camper that I will be traveling and living in. That being said I have to make it look and feel comfortable for me☺️ stay safe!
Damn you’re adorable
