Dude I've said this before I'll say it again. When it comes to Heartzel it's like the rules of physics don't apply to him. In other words when he's used up every single piece of mouth, tongue, throat, teeth, cheeks, lips.... He's still somehow manages to make like two more sounds that come from somewhere but nobody knows where the hell they came from LOL it's like the dude has another damn mouth inside his mouth making more sounds and it looks like he's not even trying that part really jacks with my head he doesn't even look like he's struggling at all, some people were just simply born to do something and this kid was born to beatbox for sure
Heartzels wildcard was crazy, the audio kinda lets it down a bit though, not sure if it's the mic or the mix because you said you own the mic but it doesn't do his sound pallet justice here lol
Yeah that decline stepping sound from heartzel sounds like he's curled the tounge to get that whistle while (like d-low explained ) doing throat bass shuffling between the corners of his mouth . Keeping it suuuuuuper tight and needing heeps good breath regulation . Coz U can't just smash that technique and go heavy on the air coz I won't get the whistle . Or the other way . The throat base will lose pitch with the whistle . Or if U don't go hard enough U can't part your lips to get the percussive aspect of the technique. Basically have to breathe out from deep down more like a cough than a consistent throat bass from higher up. Man. The techniques this year are super hard to unpack.
The other way he could have his whistle set up is having the middle thick part of his tounge edges pressed up against the roof of his mouth. Throat bass air comes under the tongue edges and then out either side making the beat .
Unrelated question :? Do you think if a beatboxer had perfect pitch that it would give them and advantage or disadvantage ? And would being a judge and having perfect pitch be a good or a bad thing . Coz it's not like you can't ignore it . I think it would impact on an artist's overall style .and a judge's overall critique. Finally . Which beatboxers if any do we think have perfect pitch or close to . And it totally a thing. It's a feeling people get who have it. Also many people who have perfect pitch who unfortunately aren't musical artists. Just something I'm curious currently about bbxers. They should all go get tested for if they have perfect pitch or not.
