    Agnes is a stunner, full of gorgeous cutthroat trout that play hard-to-get under most conditions, but on happy occasions take the fly, paying persistence. The geometrically perfect breakdown slope below the Crags as seen at 3:39 is a textbook example of "angle of repose", which is also the title of a SUPERB novel by Wallace Stegner. As a long time Larimer County resident, I always enjoy your vids and quite often "resemble" them. ;-> Thanks and cheers and see you on the trail!

    Nick I appreciate your documenting this, I am now 38 however I grew up on the front range and my mother and father and I used to hike up to this lake. It is extremely special to my family.

      Thank you Julie. Lake Agnes is one of my favorite lakes. It is incredibly beautiful. Its on our tenative list for this winter to hike to it from Cameron Pass. But I dont know.. that road leading in is pretty long.

    Yep, just added that one to my "Must Hike" list, looks sooo beautiful. Definitely one of my favs, and I've been over Cameron Pass when the road was snowy in the fall last year, so I know exactly what you mean by the cold temps there. As usual, a great video and thank you, made my evening to get to relax with yet another one! I'm also sharing with some friends of mine who enjoy hiking as well :)

      You're welcome! These friends don't live in Colorado and they are enjoying your videos because... obviously...where they hike isn't as beautiful as where we hike (heh)

    First, I'd like to say you are doing a real good job on your videos. Second, I have profited by watching them, as they are most interesting --- and they give me ideas for planning my hikes. We moved to Berthoud in March; hence, are just now learning where to hike. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

      Thank you for the compliments! I bet you are loving the recent move out here. :) Glad the videos are helpful. There are so many good places to hike tucked all over the place. I'm still discovering new ones. Colorado is awesome!

    Being from Florida, that .8 mile hike was tiring one. Once we got back to the car we were done for the day. But definitely worth the effort.

      Thank you! Those are some big mountains back there. Richthofen is the tallest in the Never Summer Mountain Range. You can see it from many vantage points from the south. It sticks way up. A really fun mountain to be on the summit of. I'd love to get paid to hike.. but I just couldn't ask people for money like that.

    Do u see bears often? Do you carry bear spray?

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen bears before, but I dont carry any kind of spray or anything other than a whistle. I'm not worried about the bears as much as the mountain lions. But even with the lions, attacks are very rare.
