I heard a distant rumble while hiking this trail that grew louder and louder. I was surprised as I looked up at the sheer mountainside to see Amtrak’s California Zephyr exiting a tunnel and then shortly disappearing into another tunnel. A great feat of engineering! Nice video Nick!
Good video Nick. Hey, Clean Dan has a bench with his name on it. When I retire, I'm gonna have a little sign made with my name on it and stick it on a broom closet in my office building.
@@nicksangetta8874 I tried to go up Shirttail from Eldo Canyon side once before and reached the ridge, but the ridge traverse was icy and way too sketchy for my liking so I turned around. The next time I went up the backside (east side) via old Mesa trail which was much easier and can be kept at class 2
Will Nick Sangetta Productions work with small time producers of nature content or just blockbuster projects exclusively? Just wondering, ur hikes r awesome!
OMG!!! That's my "home" park! I go to ECSP all the time. I cut my hiking teeth there when I first moved to CO before I got confident enough to go to RMNP. I say it all the time on here, but I love your videos! 🏞

@pw2883 Yeah I would not want to be hiking through one of those tunnels if the train came through.
Great hike Nick, seemed like it took forever to get to the summit! The views were worth it though! Thanks for sharing.
Good old Clean Dan. Lol. I'm 15 min from there. I usually park at the Fowler TH right outside the park to avoid their "fees".

Congrats on getting Eldorado. It's a nice one and much quieter compared to other 8000ft peaks near Boulder
@@ruggedland Thanks! I literally just got back from Eldorado Canyon just now. Getting up to Shirttail from that side looks ROUGH!

@@surfcruzer Ha! I am pretty small time myself. I like hiking with other content creators. Thanks for the compliment!
