Coquina is my favorite beach spot. I run here daily. The southern end, it's less populated, I fish under the bridge with my work laptop and my mobile hot spot. I go running here just before sunset. On the north end I'll park at Bayfront Park and go for a run onto Bean Point. A lot shorter than parking by north shore cafe and walking a mile-plus to get to the public access. not a wide beach area at Bayfront but It can be empty and you're btw Rod and Reel Pier (excellent food) and Anna Maria Pier .... Sandbar is a great spot to eat b/c of the views. Spacious. Large outdoors. Get there when they open around 11 and you won't have to wait 2 hours. Go during peak hours you'll wait 2 hours easily. But a great spot if you want to eat. They do have an area for those who just want a liquid lunch or dinner

@Katrin Pfitzenreiter Hi Katrin, I'm from Belfast, the scenery here is second to none, your fellow Americans love it here, and you'll certainly get a warm welcome.......that's about all that's warm! 😀 the weather is always rain, with some patches of further rain, slightly warmer rain in the summer. Nothing like the weather in florida! But I love it here too.

Just a little correction for your video, you said the island is made up of three cities and you said Bradenton. It is actually the city of Bradenton Beach. This causes a lot of confusion for visitors as "Bradenton" is the mainland city that is just north of Sarasota. Bradenton Beach is actually the city on the island.
