    Un punto importante a considerar durante la instalación del eje; primero se debe apretar la tuerca del eje y posteriormente dar apriete a los 4 pernos que fijan el eje, esto permite que las barras de la horquilla queden perfectamente alineadas verticalmente con las botellas.
    Si lo hacemos en orden inverso (tal como mostró el video 14:00) las barras quedarán unos milímetros mas juntas en la zona del eje lo que resultará en un desgaste prematuro de los retenes, los bushings y las propias barras además de un mal funcionamiento de la horquilla. Esto es así porque la medida de extremo a extremo de los espaciadores laterales de la rueda es ligeramente menor que la medida entre las 2 punteras de la horquilla, y por eso el eje cuenta con un doble diámetro.

    Did I miss what the oil level is set at? I pulled one a part off an ES and the one that wasn't leaking had about 60-70mm from the top and I believe it's 10wt for anyone curious.

    Amazing production quality! Having made something similar (in less professional surroundings) this must have taken ages to film and edit.
    Did you film as a two man team? Mech & Camera man?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yes we are normally a 2 man team. Michael is the mechanic in this case and Yev behind the camera or on the VSTROM in other videos.

    awesome detail! I love "DIY tools" too ;) I'm wondering.... if you shortened those long tubes (spring cap?) a little bit, would that effectively lower the suspension? I suppose that would also lose travel, in an already soft setup?..

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for feedback. I’m not sure I can comment about cutting down spacers and the effects on suspension. You would need to be advised by a suspension professional.

    It seems you installed the spring upside down. Please explain it.

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Springs are installed per Hyprepro instructions….but you’re correct that it is opposite of OEM springs.

    • @siuhong369
      @siuhong369 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Then you should tell your audiences it is not OEM…. You may misguide them to do it the wrong way.

    Your torque section with the front axle nut is either confusing or very wrong.

  • @sg57271
    @sg57271 ปีที่แล้ว

    I noticed a different order with yours to others. You leveled oil with spring out, others did it with spring in, that difference fairly concerning in volume of oil. which is correct?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spring out is how manual reads.

    How much oil does each fork need to be filled with ?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fork oil level is 95mm down on standard and 110mm on AS. Of course this is with OEM components. Oil level is measured from the top of the tube with spring removed and fully compressed.

    How much time is needed to change the fork seals by a competent mechanic?

    • @1LiterADV
      @1LiterADV  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would plan on doing one side at a time. If you have all of the specialty tools, I would budget an hour each. Maybe 1.5 hours

    • @jepomer
      @jepomer ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@1LiterADV - I just had both sides done by my local honda dealer. They charged over $800 labor. Seems like I was charged for the learning of their tech.
      Thank you for the quick response. After seeing your video, I feel confident that I could do the seal replacements in the future using the Honda Service Manual.

      Thanks for the feedback. Videos take a tremendous amount of effort, time and resources. Then there is editing and post production. We are trying to keep the faith and hope YT videos don’t go to the wayside with all other types of videos out there.
