- Hello friends! I am sharing the kitchen and living room decorated for summer! I have mostly used things I had and added some chairs my daughter gave me, and also have a fabulous facebook marketplace find I've been searching for forever:-) There was also one big change in the living room:-) Let me know what you think in the comments!!

managed to incorporate the stainless and create such a soft, welcoming design.
Oh thank you so much for saying that because that’s something I have hoped that I could do☺️ I realized in a lot of my favorite old kitchens, they have moved in a new stove or something as a basic upgrade that happens naturally over time, and and somehow they make them look natural☺️☺️

Rewiring a lamp is sooo easy and inexpensive. My best lamps are thrifted.

Very pretty, a bit dark. It’s daylight and you have every lamp in the house on. Lovely!
Ha ha I have three small lamps on because I am shooting video, which requires much more light the way I shoot. Also I have dark chenille curtains blocking a lot of the light as well, a covered porch on the front, and the trees shade our house all summer as well. I actually prefer a darker, cool feel inside when it’s hot outside though too☺️ If you visit the blog and see the photos, though, there are no lights on☺️
❤ I'm new here. Love that lamp you painted. My go-to paint color is oil rubbed bronze. Just love it, not quite as hard as black (love that too) .it seems to soften the black somehow , more gentle on the eye, brings a depth to the decor.
Yes I mentioned in the video I think or on Instagram maybe that I may brush on some bronze to it☺️

I know what you mean☺️☺️ I loved it too, I think the light actually in this room was the only thing that made me kind of want to change up to something more neutral, but I’ll still be using those colors in my decor☺️

Yes, it did come out of the old house and goes to our pantry / mudroom / laundry space, which I never show because everything is just stacked in there😂😂. We have been planning a pantry makeover for a while so when my husband has time he’s planning to build the shelving for me and I’ll share that☺️☺️

Wow what a beautiful and warm cozy home. I have a question about the tray above the stove. I have a similar one and it’s hand painted. I have tried putting it there as well but very worried about oil and food splatter. Do you remove it each time you cook? I tried that too but it got to be too much.
Thank you so much!! I don’t really cook anything that splatters, it if I do fry something, I use the front burner and haven’t had an issue. When I cook bacon on my griddle, though, I hang a tea towel over it☺️ Also I kind of have the tray there to protect the wood☺️
