D.M. Murdock, an incredible, articulate beautiful woman. I miss her. She is an invaluable source of information. She is sorely missed. R.I.P. Acharya S.
@Lulu Grce Dm Murdock, passed away with cancer. She embodied a warehouse of information pertaining to Religion and mythology. Interesting that she passed on december 25th. She leaves a legacy in her published works.
Then how come historians have debunked her claims??? I'm going to give you the names of two of them and this is enough to destroy you're thinking. Richard carrier and Bart Ehrman These two don't believe in God, however both of them sai acharya's information is not reliable.
@@carloswater7 Richard Carrier is a Mythicist too. He does not believe Jesus ever historically existed just like she does not believe he existed either. What does he disagree with her on?
But you will never be able to break free from GOD ALMIGHTY - after all HE CREATED EVERYTHING including THE HUMAN MIND denying HIM - what you call break free is being pulled further into THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN - THE DARKNESS!

Gone but not forgotten. She continues to play her part in encouraging others to question what they were taught to believe. She lives on here but will be very much missed.
Plausibly accurate but zero evidence. Very very few, if any, ever “converted” to Christianity from a position of no religion. Most were indoctrinated at their mother’s knee. Child indoctrination is criminal!
She makes perfect sense to the rational thinking person but not to the religious. They defiantly refuse to accept the lack of evidence to support their faith.

Tremendous supernatural power accompanies Christ's anointed ministering via manifest powers of the Holy Spirit are profoundly exhitbited via Christ mightily anointed in every service daily around the world. There's no excuse for any American today of our generation being ignorant of heavenly manifest powers which accompany proclamation of the Gospel around the world and establishes the reality of Christ's Kingdom among men of our own generation. Sorry to report that Acharya S. aka: D.M. Murdock. Book author has died of cancer on Dec 25th 2015. She will be missed. Thankfully she was able to leave behind her views and her knowledge which she shared openly with all people Her wisdom will live on.
Your response is exactly why people such as D.M. Murdock are great to have had on this planet. I am a believer but you sadly sound like a brainwasher fundamentalist type Christian who sounds more like evil than good. Open your mind! Stop being such a follower! Do you actually think Jesus would have said what you wrote? Omgosh! You make true Christians' look really bad! You should be ashamed of yourself! BTW who was Jesus praying to in the garden? Himself? I don't even know why I am entertaining this. People like you create the divide that so many of us are trying to correct. Your thoughts and words create wars! Very frightening actually!
She confirmed a lot of the studies I myself we're doing. I had already discovered many flaws in Scripture that separated me from the church. To me she was and is a Goddess.
I read one of your books back in my heavy-seeking days. Today, more and more scholars are agreeing with you that Jesus was a myth. I was very saddened to hear of your passing. Thank you, Dorothy. So very much.

@@Max_Doubt This is literally from that page….also this isn’t even all of it but just a small excerpt….(thanks for your reply though!) “Scholarly reception - Lack of support for mythicism In modern scholarship, the Christ myth theory is a fringe theory, which finds virtually no support from scholars, to the point of being addressed in footnotes or almost completely ignored due to the obvious weaknesses they espouse. Common criticisms against the Christ myth theory include: general lack of expertise or relationship to academic institutions and current scholarship; reliance on arguments from silence, dismissal of what sources actually state, and superficial comparisons with mythologies. According to agnostic scholar Bart D. Ehrman, nearly all scholars who study the early Christian period believe that he did exist and Ehrman observes that mythicist writings are generally of poor quality because they are usually authored by amateurs and non-scholars who have no academic credentials or have never taught at academic institutions.” So I’m not sure what the “more and more scholars are agreeing comes from”. According to Bart Ehrman this is just simply false, he is quoted saying only a few years ago that you won’t find one top, reputable, peer reviewed, editorial board reviewed, scholar, with relevant training in the fields related to this study, ever suggesting that Jesus didn’t exist, get baptized by John, and die by crucifixtion. Sure historians can’t take the supernatural parts seriously though and some might outright claim they’re myths
I had zero choice in the matter. My 'faith' simply evaporated beyond my control even as I tried to hang on to it and rationalize that while not all of it is factual, the spiritual elements/basics are. I *wanted* it to be true. Luckily, I wasn't raised from birth with fundamentalist indoctrination. While my parents believed in god and Jesus, it was in a very broad sense). The indoctrination didn't begin until age nine when I attended a Southern Baptist Christian school (4th through 9th grade and even then, my questioning of some of the outlandish assertions, e.g., the world flood, 6000 year old earth, a loving god with an infinite torture chamber reserved for non-believers effectively resulted in my expulsion by being asked not to return for 10th grade), so I didn't fall into the 'give me a child until age seven' scenario. I imagine those who are born into fundamentalism have an exponentially more difficult time waking up.
I wanted to believe in order to belong, to find a made within the faith and have kids. The American dream. What made me stop trying to believe was after I started to understand human behavior, dark triad traits and anatomy of a good lie. It is natural to want to not die, to keep existing after we die when we do, and to belong to something greater (to that of the faith, as a child of God). Religion just uses our good nature.
Wow! What an amazing woman. A diamond find academic and a true professional. I wish I had discovered her and her work long before now. THANK YOU DM Murdock. Awesome! I hope one day I get to shake your hand and wish you well in person. Respect!

I have no dog in this fight. I have read Dr. Bart Ehrman's book on the subject as well as the the book Kosher Jesus by Rabbi Baltiac. They both point to the existence of Jesus. Read their points of view. It may change yours. Incidentally I don't believe a man can be G-d, and no historian can prove that one way or the other.
he never HAD to exist for the reality of his STORY and his character to be true. It's a story about the divine nature of every human being. We all have "Christ" in us. It's not a person. It's an invisible power, explained by myth, allegory, metaphor, etc.
***** "he never HAD to exist for the reality of his STORY and his character to be true." that's hilarious. how is it 'his' story if he never existed? derp.
The message of the Christ avatar character in the story remains untouched. Just like Krishna. Just like Buddha. Just like Osiris. The avatar of the story had a message. The message is the most important thing. So that begs the question, what do you suppose the "gospel of Christ" to be? The gospel he preached. You think you "know" it, I'm sure. But I would venture to bet that you really don't know how to articulate it, based on the truth contained in the "story" given in the scripture! Notice how religion has jaded and divided people from one another over dogma? Its all inside you. Pick an avatar. Any story well studied brings you to the same divine truth. We are indeed divine beings...created in the "image" of gawd. Doh!! Did you forget the story dude? Greater is he that is IN YOU....
***** I don't think its a question of weather he existed or not, its a question of how much his story has been embellished.Did Davey Crockett Exist, well yeah, did he kill a bear when he was 3 yo well maybe not. There is so much verifiable stuff hinging on Moses that he had to have existed.

I agree, Sometimes the simplest explanation tends to be the correct one. Like, faith as in simple faith of a child. This is the only real way to even begin to have the eye's of you understanding open towards knowing the creator of all things. It makes me sad to think that someone must have robbed something very precious from you when you were just a child. It wasn't an easy job to challenge peoples' religious faith with evidence (or showing the lack of it) but Acharya S did it very well and I am grateful to her for it. R.I.P or whatever happens in the next phase, may you get your "reward"!
Taking away Christianity from the sheeple, is like telling children that Santa no longer exists. Some people just can't deal with it and would rather remain blissfully ignorant
Except she is excluded from any scholarly respect. A conspiracy theorist and nutjob that twists and squirms thru her life, trying to gain acceptance but remaining an outsider, without respect from any recognized scholars.
Jonathan Stiles she did have the respect of quite a few people. Most so called scholars who blew her off wee sexist. Many people didn't agree with her but she was never dismissed out of hand. There are quite a few mythicists and astrotheology supporters out there. Although it has not become a mainstream source of Christ Myth theory it's there and slowly but surely gaining ground. We all know that all religion is a conspiracy to control the masses by instilling fear. Religion is pure bullshit pure and simple.

THE BIBLE BELONGS IN THE CATEGORY OF MYTHOLOGY (DEFINED AS THE STUDY OF PEOPLE AND THEIR GODS), NOT IN THE CATEGORY OF HISTORY.
There is not one written eyewitness account of Jesus during his lifetime. Strange since he was famous at birth, because wise men expected to see the future king of Jews who was born from a virgin married mother. Every leading Christian scholar since Erasmus, five hundred years ago, has maintained that the gospels were originally written in Greek from 70 to 140 CE (Mark after the year 70, Luke about 110, Matthew about 130, and John no earlier than 140 CE). This proves that they were not written by Christ's apostles, disciples or by any of the early Christians. Others say: “There is no proof of the Gospels existing before 130 CE”. Jesus is depicted as hugely popular in the gospels. Yet he is unrecorded by non-Biblical historians. Paul was the first one to write about Jesus around 60CE; but he, like everyone else, never saw Jesus. He experienced a vision of the resurrected Jesus. John Gresham Machen wrote: The establishment of Christianity as a world religion, to almost as great an extent as any great historical movement can be ascribed to one man, was the work of Paul. I also read that the history of the first three popes was invented because they never existed. All myth! Seek the truth!
Paul refers to Jesus' Last Supper, and mentions James the brother of the Lord, who Josephus also mentions. Mostly likely conclusion is they were real people.
This is an amazing video, full of useful information, but if only atheists and agnostics see it, the reason why it has been created is not fulfilled. We need to share it, especially where young people are going to see it and it can really make an impact. We should use it to comment on apologetics videos, websites and so on, where people looking for answers can see it and understand also the "other" point of view.
Actually she did nothing. Her arguments are weak and sophomoric. In truth she is really not taken seriously in academic circles today both in the private and public college setting. Even Bart Ehrman argued that she herself was "factually wrong" in many of her assessments. Apparently she knows nothing of textual criticism.
Matthew Engheta Honestly you're clueless. Ehrman is a great linguist, but his book on the existence of Jesus got shredded by Carrier and Price, amongst others. In other words Ehrman got his ass owned. Btw Robert M. Price thought her ideas were very interesting, and did have academic value. And btw most Biblical Scholarship is a joke. Many scholars have to affirm the Bible regardless of any contradicting evidence or they lose their job. Fitzgerald did a poll of the religious affiliations of Biblical scholars. 70% were Christian, and 40% of them were contractually obligated to not deny the Bible. Brodie is a perfect example. He's now Emeritus. Said Jesus is a myth, and he no longer had a job. So you can piss off with your most scholars agree argument, because the evidence doesn't remotely add up to nonsense they claim, using methods that historians would laugh at.

The reason this error troubles me is that it is indicative of the carelessness and arrogance Ehrman exhibits throughout this book … [Ehrman] often doesn’t check his facts, and clearly did little to no research. This makes the book extremely unreliable. A reader must ask, if he got this wrong, what other assertions in the book are false? And since making sure to get details like this right is the only useful purpose this book could have had, how can we credit this book as anything but a failure?” freethoughtnation.com/the-phallic-savior-of-the-world-hidden-in-the-vatican/#comment-11233 Bart Ehrman caught in lies and libel? freethoughtnation.com/bart-ehrman-caught-in-lies-and-libel/ Here's what non-biased scholars say about Jesus: "The only definite account of his life and teachings is contained in the four Gospels of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Raymond warren Denied history? I don't believe that the man called Jesus existed as he was portrayed in the Bible. There is not ONE "contemporary, CONTEMPORARY" historian who wrote about him. The New Testament was not a CONTEMPORARY account of what happened during the time of the man called Jesus. It was written from 30 to 150 years after his alleged death. It is loaded with contradictions and falsehoods, PROVEN FALSEHOODS. And using the Bible to prove that he did indeed exist is like using a Superman comic book to prove the existence of Superman. You say that supernatural events should be discarded. Well then THAT in itself would eliminate the Jesus carachter from the get-go since he was "born" of a virgen birth. You have just proved my point and I thank you for that.

Acharya S - a very brave woman who stood up to a very large organization in the world and led the charge to "enlighten us". Know the truth, and the truth will set you free. Christians don't need any more proof than 1) The bible is God's infallible word. 2) If it's in the bible, its true. They won't listen to any reason, or any facts to the contrary. This is what they are indoctrinated to believe. They believe Solomon existed and was the strongest man in the world. But Hercules was mythology. The Jewish tales are factual, the Greek are mythology. I became angry at the Christian church. Angry because they continued for year after year to fill me with inaccurate information while milking me for money, week after week, year after year. I tried bringing friends to church, I tried making friends at church with little luck. I lost friends who went to church with me one time who then said "no thanks" to me and to Christianity. My parents went to church for fifty years, every week, and always gave money - usually 5% of their income, which was significant. My mom did not even know who Abraham was. My dad knew more about Santa Clause than he did about Jesus. I tried numerous denominations, and was scolded for asking honest questions, even asked to "find another church". They never teach the origins of Judaism, the origins of Christianity, or the history of Christianity. They don't teach comparative religion, and don't teach the comparison and origins of all the branches of Christianity. I went for twenty years as an adult and didn't know anything about the Eastern Orthodox branch. I knew nothing about Islam, and I participated as a Marine in the Persian Gulf War. These people do not want you to learn the big picture of it all. They want to spoon feed you their own blend, and have you pay them to keep feeding it to you, That logo of a cross and a dollar sign is so accurate. When we invaded Iraq in 2003, i knew they were lying us into that war. I left the Republican party and Christianity. I am so glad I did, but it has taken me a lot of time and effort to research my way to the root cause of the issues. The truth of the matter is that the Jews, Christians, and Muslims all have "sacred" texts that are hopelessly pitted against each other. There will be no peace in the middle East without the deconstruction of these texts and proof that they were fabricated and are full of misinformation, fables, fairy tales, and state propaganda. None of them are "God's word". They are the words of those who believed God was inspiring them.
Jesus clearly stated in the Gospel of Matthew that He would return in the same generation that crucified Him. And yet, no such miraculous return, on the clouds of glory, has been recorded in the nearly 2000 years since Matthew was written.
yes He did return? in the same generation three days later, and if you read the Bible, 500 witnesses so Him, and then He was taken up to heaven. God bless
I always wonder when people say that the gospel writers were copying Philo/Pliny/Josephus instead of taking the Occam’s razor obvious route that the gospel writers WERE Josephus, Pliny, Lucius which they quite obviously were. Or at least the people really behind these Pen names.
WOW! I am just finding out that she had passed away in 2015. WOW Sooooo sorry to hear this. I didn’t know her but I had purchased her books way back in early 2000. I use to love reading the chat posts in the yahoo group that she had setup. She was very active and friendly in the chat. Wow. I hate that I am finding this out now and how ironic she passed on December 25th. RIP DM Murdock. 😢😢
Very interesting that she has been writing a lot about the date 25th December and then she passed on 25th December. I never knew about her till I read Suns Of God and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Her name used to confuse me. I thought Murdock was a male but Acharya S in her writing sounded a feminine till I recently googled her and found out she’s a woman but had passed. It made me sad to know she had passed. I wish I could have met her

Well said ,Miss, since anything one study and analysed must be in in HARMONY WITH LOGIC, REASON, SCIENCE AND THE LAW OF NATURE. A WORD TO THE WISE. THKS.
From what I know, it was Carl Sagan who wrote: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." It's not an "old saying" if by that phrase it means an anonymous statement.
@@skyeangelofdeath7363 Why would it be true that an extraordinary claims would REQUIRE extraordinary evidence? Please enumerate and give examples. (That's what you fakers always say, isn't it?) That's strictly hyperbole and a wive's tale, it has no foundation in merit, or in logic.
@@dougoverhoff7568 I notice that you failed to even attempt to name the fallacy you had claimed. Most likely that is because you religitards have no clue what a fallacy is. As to examples, firstly; you are really not even giving the subject any thought at all or you would not have to ask. However, if you want an example that is quite easy. Let us say that a friend tells you that he & his wife went to dinner at the new seafood restaurant in town. What proof would you require in order to believe him? You probably would not need anything more than his say so right? On the other hand; what if your friend told you he had been abducted by aliens? What kind of evidence would you require to believe him then? Now think about the reason for the difference between the two things. One is ordinary & one is extraordinary....... Get it?
@@skyeangelofdeath7363 Not all fallacies are logical fallacies, some are just lies or untruths, a mistaken belief, or a false notion. In the case of the claim in question, I would simply say that it is a nonsequitur, if you're looking for a technical term. Your analogy is quite interesting, but does not describe a fallacy. Neither would I believe your friend, even if he were to provide some extraordinary "evidence", as I don't have any doubt as to the fact that he would have been lying. There's a difference between what I would call extraordinary, and what's flat out impossible, inconceivable, or beyond reason. We see people doing extraordinary things all the time, and extraordinary events, too. We see them on TV, or on TH-cam, and even in person. But, we don't require anyone to provide any extraordinary evidence along with it, nor do we ask for it, in order for us to believe it. So, how do we describe "extraordinary", and who is to be the judge of that? I'm not arguing that some things are hard to believe, but only that not everything that seems extraordinary to us is, in fact, all that difficult to explain. And does not require "extraordinary" evidence for it to be believed: only normal, ordinary, and believable evidence.
I did a Google search,to find out more about D.M. Murdock (did not hear of here until now), and was surprised to find out she died in December. Another victim of breast cancer.
As an Ex-Christian. Indoctrinated. (to my defense.) To be rebellious would have gotten me the rod across my behind. I agree with this whole wonderful video. But also her conclusion in her final statement. RIP D.M. Murdock. You are missed.

Fascinating woman. Someone once emailed me claiming to be Acharya's sister. She said that ONE inspiration for Acharya's writings was that their parents were Christian religious zealots, and that Acharya's works were inspired as a reaction to that zealotry. I have NO idea if that was true, and I had no way if knowing if the individual writing me was Acharya's sister or not. I held the view that "Jesus Christ" did exist; was crucified; survived the crucifixion; traveled to Kashmir; married; had children; and died at the age of 120. I entered debates with Acharya, via email. I was impressed by her CIVILITY and her HONOR and her PATIENCE. I was nobody special. But she exchanged with me anyway. I miss her.
Absolutely false - her parents were never "Christian zealots" - she cared about people getting sucked into cults ... like Christianity and so many others based on lies, deceit, manipulation etc.
Real scientists without some sexual or ego perversion axe to grind know that there is too much in the frequency spectrum we have no way of detecting, that there are not higher forms of life in higher - not foreign - realms. If you already believe Jesus was the Logos of John chapter 1, then he is the creator of the Universe and any Earthly miracle he preforms is a trifle.

An excellent contribution for people with open hearts & minds, for people who are happy when they encounter unbiased, valid research done here by Acharya S. who painstakingly over many years scanned countless ancient & contemporary writings and sciences all sorts relating to symbolism, mythology, cosmology, religious dogmas, etc. It is astounding when Abrahamist people who live in countries where they enjoy freedom of religion & atheism refuse to scrutinize d dubious claims Abrahamists make.
The word "bible' means book of stories, guess the title tells us , just like all the other deities that have the astro theology story , born of a virgin mother , 12 years in temple , crucified and raised from the dead , there is metaphorical meaning to them , the orginal story was from the gnostics and starts at the first creational process with the lost goddess Sophia and inverted text of the second creational process garden of Eden story . The 20 books of Revalation , only one made it as the others were too surreal, Peter walked out of the tomb with the cross which was walking and talking, they got left out as they contradicted the narrative of trying to make it look like a literal event . Virgin usually implies in the Abrahamic religions to a young girl and the first egg produced , from the gnostic point of view it was the last egg of menopause . Any religion that supports child and animal sacrifice should be questioned The gnostics and orthodox Jews always believed the God of the old testament was a false god, Yaldaboath accidentally created by Sophias fall . No true god would demand worship 🙌

There's no excuse for any American today of our generation being ignorant of heavenly manifest powers which accompany proclamation of the Gospel around the world and establishes the reality of Christ's Kingdom among men of our own generation. This is an unassailable fact of reality for any intelligent knowledgeable individual of our generation that the Lord Jesus Christ was exactly as he's Biblically portrayed, being the son of the living God.

“Scholarly reception
- Lack of support for mythicism
In modern scholarship, the Christ myth theory is a fringe theory, which finds virtually no support from scholars, to the point of being addressed in footnotes or almost completely ignored due to the obvious weaknesses they espouse. Common criticisms against the Christ myth theory include: general lack of expertise or relationship to academic institutions and current scholarship; reliance on arguments from silence, dismissal of what sources actually state, and superficial comparisons with mythologies.
According to agnostic scholar Bart D. Ehrman, nearly all scholars who study the early Christian period believe that he did exist and Ehrman observes that mythicist writings are generally of poor quality because they are usually authored by amateurs and non-scholars who have no academic credentials or have never taught at academic institutions.”
So I’m not sure what the “more and more scholars are agreeing comes from”.

Respect!
She did a great job of bringing the whole Jesus myth to the forefront of modern public attention. Others in the Secret Societies have known what she has explicated but have not brought it so passionately to Light [Illuminated on it] for public attention and consumption ! She was/is [if you believe in the Spirit World] a contemporary occult scholar....knowledge of the hidden [occulted]...whistleblower !
Acharya S (D. M. Murdock) is one the greatest and most important scholars and authors.
She’s beautiful! Not only physically but also the way she speaks!
she doesnt speak , emotions churns out from the bottom of her heart.
True. She is awesome. A wonderful woman.
I have read three of her books and all I can say is as a person brought up roman catholic I'm convinced, he never existed
*****
"he never HAD to exist for the reality of his STORY and his character to be true."
that's hilarious. how is it 'his' story if he never existed?
A modern day Hypatia! May Sophia bless her and keep her safe. Keep going Acharya, much love !! :)

We really miss this beatiful human being. She was so ahead of the time... Still relevant, still important. :(
You are sorely missed. Acharya S, forever in our hearts and minds.
One of my favorite sayings,The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be
seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart.
An honest and courageous woman. RIP Acharya S.
what does it profit her to gain the whole world but lose her own soul? she lost
It wasn't an easy job to challenge peoples' religious faith with evidence (or showing the lack of it) but Acharya S did it very well and I am grateful to her for it. R.I.P or whatever happens in the next phase, may you get your "reward"!

One of the greatest scholars of our generation

The JEWISH Bible!
And JEWS have no rights to Palestine!
Their claim is based on MYTHS!
Take it up with the Smithsonian.
Hey! Sun worship is fun and profitable. The Jewish aspect is regretable though.
Rusty Writer Facts
Only problem with that is the Holy land and the birth and death and resurrection of Jesus
This proves that they were not written by Christ's apostles, disciples or by any of the
early Christians.
Paul does refer to James the brother of the Lord. So he clearly believes in a historical Jesus
Paul refers to Jesus' Last Supper, and mentions James the brother of the Lord, who Josephus also mentions. Mostly likely conclusion is they were real people.
Loved her work. RIP Acharya S.
RIP Acharya S. Your work helped shatter the myth of Christianity.

Here's what Dr. Robert Price had to say about this issue regarding Bart Errorman:
“Such libel only reveals a total disinclination to do a fraction of the research manifest on any singe page of Acharya’s works.”
- Dr. Robert Price, page xxi of the book, ‘Bart Erhman and the Quest of the Historical Jesus of Nazareth: An Evaluation of Ehrman’s Did Jesus Exist?’
Richard Carrier defended Acharya on this issue in the book too as well as across several of his own blogs:
“At the very least I would expect Ehrman to have called the Vatican museum about this, and to have checked the literature on it, before arrogantly declaring no such object existed and implying Murdock made this up … She did not make that up. And since making sure to get details like this right is the only useful purpose this book could have had, how can we credit this book as anything but a failure?”

Bart Ehrman caught in lies and libel?

Here's what non-biased scholars say about Jesus:
"The only definite account of his life and teachings is contained in the four Gospels of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. All other historical records of the time are silent about him. The brief mentions of Jesus in the writings of Josephus, Tacitus and Suetonius have been generally regarded as not genuine and as Christian interpolations; in Jewish writings there is no report about Jesus that has historical value. Some scholars have even gone so far as to hold that the entire Jesus story is a myth."
- The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia
Below are some very interesting comments by highly respected scholars:
"This book is a slightly revised version of my doctoral dissertation entitled “Solar Worship in the Biblical World” which was submitted to the Graduate School of Yale University in the Spring of 1989. As may be judged from the title of that work, I had at one time planned to cover more territory than sun worship in ancient Israel, but found the material pertaining to ancient Israel so vast that I never got beyond it."
- Rev. Dr. J. Glen Taylor, "Yahweh and the Sun: Biblical and Archaeological Evidence for Sun Worship in Ancient Israel" (1993)
"At Stonehenge in England and Carnac in France, in Egypt and Yucatan, across the whole face of the earth are found mysterious ruins of ancient monuments, monuments with astronomical significance. These relics of other times are as accessible as the American Midwest and as remote as the jungles of Guatemala. Some of them were built according to celestial alignments; others were actually precision astronomical observatories ... Careful observation of the celestial rhythms was compellingly important to early peoples, and their expertise, in some respects, was not equaled in Europe until three thousand years later."

Raymond warren " wgat go you want" Huh?
Raymond warren Oh, so you are going to resort to name-calling to respond. And I guess you think you made your point clear. So be it.

Raymond, it would behoove you to actually READ the Bible. I too am an atheist, though I call myself a secular humanist.
D.M. Murdock, set the stage for those wishing to escape the fantasy, that is religion.
This woman is brilliant!
Love this Woman, people are so gullible and ignorant. Especially in the US.
This lady is beautiful in so many ways.
I wish I could have met her
Dorie?!
We went to high school n graduated together.
I didn’t really know her very well.
She was in all the smart kid classes.
I was in all the dumb kid classes.
We all crushed on her.
And Yes she had that same very distinctive voice back when we were kids.
@@brianglenn1610 I’m not surprised to know that. She had mastered lots of fields and you can’t really do that if you weren’t brilliant. I wish I could have met her in real life
Well said ,Miss, since anything one study and analysed must be in in HARMONY WITH LOGIC, REASON, SCIENCE AND THE LAW OF NATURE. A WORD TO THE WISE. THKS.
My hero. RIP until we meet again.
From what I know, it was Carl Sagan who wrote: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." It's not an "old saying" if by that phrase it means an anonymous statement.
It's a fallacy to say that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Sounds good, but it's just not true.
@@dougoverhoff7568 Oh really? What fallacy is that?
How come Jesus never mentioned the Ark of the Covenant?
I did a Google search,to find out more about D.M. Murdock (did not hear of here until now), and was surprised to find out she died in December. Another victim of breast cancer.
I have only just discovered you, you are having a profound effect on the way I think. RIP dear lady
she isn't just brilliant, ' she's pretty too.'
Excellent speech by Acharya/D.M. Murdock.
Acharya S is the best scholar on this topic
This woman was a God-given gift to the world as were the other scholars/historians featured in Ceasers Messiah.
She's great, sad to hear of her passing.
Truth! Thumbs up!
Michael Nguyen FACTS ! THUMBS UP !
R.I.P. D.M. Murdock. Your work will go on as long as there are those who look for evidence...
As an Ex-Christian. Indoctrinated. (to my defense.) To be rebellious would have gotten me the rod across my behind. I agree with this whole wonderful video. But also her conclusion in her final statement. RIP D.M. Murdock. You are missed.
You've got a lot to learn as even Xian NT scholars disagree with you:
"The Gospels are neither histories nor biographies, even within the ancient tolerances for those genres."
- Dr. JD Crossan, Christian NT scholar
"We don't have the originals! We have only error-ridden copies..."
- Dr. Bart Ehrman, Agnostic NT scholar
She is brilliant
I miss your beauty, intelligence, and sexiness Acharya S!!!
I'm listening intently to every word that comes out of her mouth while simultaneously thinking "OMG she is so beautiful" 🌹🥀
Loved her work
Fascinating woman.
I am so sorry she has died...just think if she had lived longer, how much more she could have taught us. So grateful for her books...🌷
Real scientists without some sexual or ego perversion axe to grind know that there is too much in the frequency spectrum we have no way of detecting, that there are not higher forms of life in higher - not foreign - realms. Plus she simply does not know the bible and had no desire to read it accurately. People are stupid, especially when denying the God that gave them brains.
You are being ignorant and arrogant about the realities that are graciously described to you by a loving powerful God.
She actually says "yadda yadda".. yea very clinical, very professional. LOL
@@ME-ru4hv the quantum field disagrees with you. Core equations and theory complete as of July 2012 when the last particle was discovered...the Higgs field/boson. There is simply no more room for "woo"...Take a class in particle physics, geology and chemistry...just to mention three elements of a good education. You will discover reality.
@@jeanetteyork2582 There are no quantum physics. Isn't it funny that these terms coincide with the rise in computer technology? We ascribe to nature the limited understanding of it based on where we are at the moment.
These are the postulations of nerds with blinders on.
When you can "quantify" an electromagnetic field than maybe start putting water into that bucket. You cannot quantify reality; light has no speed nor is it a particle because it is a pure energy expressed in truly *continuously* variable frequencies and shapes.
Computers that quantify with numbers can only model crude approximations of reality.
These truths and the power that belong to them will be handed off to the meek ones who did not blaspheme our wonderful maker who exists in undetectable form for our benefit. See Radiation.

@@ME-ru4hv do you have any evidence for your rather bald assertions?
Also... I'd really like to know...have you ever taken a class in physics? Also...if "it" exists in undetectable form...how do we know it's there?
Very clear and simple, for those that want to listen, thanks to this lady, very clear at least to me.
If Jesus was real, he should come out of hiding , and stand up for him self. He's had long enough to do it. How many years have it been now? 2000 and more.........
Derek Beauchamp God saves everyone he can
2000 and now 2100 does not look too far fetched.
Derek Beauchamp , lol, lol
i agree with all blasphemy against god and jesus you think they would come out and stand up for themselves unless they never existed strange!
adventure is out there ヅ

To clarify Hercules I have enjoyed our differences of opinion and viewpoint discussions. I rarely engage due to the skepticism and lack of tolerance for the issue of faith and I respect your skepticism. I just feel differently for personal reasons. I have the same hard time defending the existence of Love or Flavor or other non tangible ideals. Faith is intensely personal and private. Oral tradition is all there is and you must validate the speaker to give it weight required in court.
They do not know for certain who wrote the gospels, they are copies of copies of copies far removed from originals.
There is a clear political AGENDA throughout the gospels.
There are errors and contradictions throughout.
These are a few of the reasons why i am no longer a "Christian" of over 30 years. When i try to tell others these facts about their beloved "inerrant and infallible holy bible" they make ridiculous stupid arguments defending it! smh in disgust
it makes me so glad to know that i am not the only who knows and sees the black and sinister hand of politics in the so called bible politics of hate from beggining to end amen amen amen
@@AngelSanchez-zp7uj Yes and i am astonished more do not see it? on the surface of a promise of eternal life BUT when read in context you can see it is very political and not good at all.
I think my old Bible teacher would say; these are only extraordinary claims for a human, not for God. If Jesus was God, then these are quite ordinary claims, and require no extraordinary evidence. Didn't really work for me in the end, but if you have a believers mindset it sounds compelling. If you already believe Jesus was the Logos of John chapter 1, then he is the creator of the Universe and any Earthly miracle he preforms is a trifle.
+Bill Keon Did you actually read what Dirk Stabins wrote?
Its True What Jesus Claims Are! He Made More claims than That! The Things Jesus said was No Mere Man Claims!
+FingaPrintz1
You are only emphasizing Dirk Stabins argument.
No the Claims Jesus Made! Only God Can Make these Claims
+FingaPrintz1 Too bad Jesus was a false prophet who died before who ever wrote John's Gospel was born. You do understand that there's no good reason to believe the Gospel authors knew Jesus? You really should research who wrote the Bible and not just go on blindly believing things that are not true.
I miss her insite so much
Wow. She was quite beautiful. She did a lot of important scholarship for which I am very grateful. Sad that she has passed away, but her influence will no doubt continue to grow.
+jaybone23 My sentiments exactly. Her work will live on - and may yet become a cornerstone of the new research. R.I.P. Miss Murdock.
Any religion that supports child and animal sacrifice should be questioned
The gnostics and orthodox Jews always believed the God of the old testament was a false god, Yaldaboath accidentally created by Sophias fall .
No true god would demand worship 🙌
Amazing person Ms. Murdoch is.
Paul, Osiris, Noah, Jason, Jonah, and Jesus rode on the same ship. This ship is still in the southrn skies.
