Use the games tools to research your sub's test depth and take advantage of this knowledge. Glad to see you using your stern tubes, many TH-camrs ignore them. If the firing end of your sub is not pointing at the target, the torpedoes required turn will severely degrade your chance of success. This was very obvious in your previous campaign. If you dive your sub before speeding up you can lessen cavitation and thus its chance of detection. Thanks for the episode.
I haven't tested it yet, but do subs implode if you go below test depth in this game? Just curious. Thanks for the info on subs. I didn't use them much at all in the last campaign, so I'm still learning the game mechanics for them.
@@cybereck You should be safe at test depth and a little past. Subs were designed to have a respectable margin of safety, they were literally taken to Test Depth during acceptance trials and their new owners were quite risk averse. Looking forward to the next episode.
hi, I’m enjoying this! Don’t understand why you’re not sending out search planes from all the land bases, especially from Midway as it has level 5 air and lots of b-17s with long range and endurance
Good question. I probably should start doing that now. I'll take a look at options the next time I record. not sure it would have mattered much if I had been searching previously, though, as the only force to oppose a move by the japanese was in the solomon sea at the time.
US Subs can go to 310' in my games. You can attack 2 targets with a sub. As soon as you fire torpedoes at the first target you have to tell the (sub) to cancel it's current target and then select the new target. You will have to change torpedo rooms unless you didn't fire a full load. Before you attack you can change back and forth on targets but you have to change the "target" in the sub. Selecting a target on the map will not change anything. Good luck!
Fun
Night ops don't float my boat. Can't see SH##!
Yeah...it's not the best, for sure. Unfortunately, the Japanese insist on night time amphibious operations...

Best videos you can get on this game are on your channel. Can’t wait for next episode !
Wow, thanks for the kind comment. Lots more episodes on the way!
Great episode. Looking forward to seeing the next one.
Thanks for watching and for the comment!
