Hey y'all! Just letting you know that I created another almost 20 minute long video explaining how the complex borders/geography between Armenia and Azerbaijan led to war between them last year, but that video could never, ever be monetized on TH-cam and because of that, TH-cam would never even send most of you any notifications or alerts if I uploaded it. So instead, I uploaded it to Nebula and the link is here: nebula.app/videos/real-life-lore-modern-conflicts-the-2020-armeniaazerbaijan-war
The best way to get access to Nebula is through the CuriosityStream bundle deal linked above, and it's less than $15 a year. I'll be posting new videos in this Modern Warfare series every month on Nebula, so if that sounds like something you'd be interested in go ahead and check it out!! Thanks :)

Edit: People don't get the joke. You are in one of of those exclaves. To get the ball you need to go to india,to go to india you need visa, to get a visa you need to go the the embassy and to get to the embassy you need to drive through india.

As a Bengalee person living pretty close to the border in the Indian state of West Bengal, I can certify this mess is real. There are rivers or canals (sometimes even ponds) with two nations on two sides, villages halved, and previously there were some households with the border going literally through them. Thousands of people cross the border daily both legally and illegally to go to school, hospital, place of work, or to visit their relatives. Thanks to British, it makes no damn sense. People on either side of the border, living close to it, look nearly the same, speak nearly the same language (or atleast understand each other's dialects), have similar cultures, and of course, shared history.

Since Bangladesh has the most fertile soil in the World British East India company cultivated opium in a district call "Nilphaamari" in present day Bangladesh 200+km north to Dhaka & delivered to China which was the sole reason for Opium wars.
The Bengal Presidency or modern day Bangladesh at the height of its territorial jurisdiction, it covered large parts of what is now South Asia and Southeast Asia ( From Afghanistan to the west to Singapore to the East). Bengal was the economic, cultural and educational hub of the British Raj .. Historically, Bengal or Bangladesh has been the industrial leader of the subcontinent & produced 52% of the Mughal Empire GDP & 33% of the world GDP during British Raj & & fueled the First Industrial Revolution in Europe & America in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840 particularly with the proto-industrialized Mughal Bengal ( modern day Bangladesh), through the activities of the East India Company. ... Bengal or Bangladesh produced Tea, Jute, Opium (( Opium was produced in a district call 'Nilphaamari' in Bangladesh which was supplied to China by The East India Company & the sole reason behind The Opium Wars.))
The region is one of the largest rice producing areas in the world, Bangladesh being the world's 3rd largest rice producer & West Bengal being India's largest rice producer. Other key crops include jute, tea, sugarcane, wheat, etc. There are significant reserves of URANIUM, limestone, natural gas and coal in the districts of Sylhet, Meghalaya & Assam in Bangladesh. Major industries include textiles, leather goods, pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, banking and information and communication technology.
When Bengal was reorganized, Penang, Singapore and Malacca were separated into the Straits Settlements in 1867. British Burma became a province of British Raj. Western areas, including the Ceded and Conquered Provinces and The Punjab, were further reorganized. Northeastern areas became Colonial Assam. The Partition of British India in 1947 resulted in Bengal's division on religious grounds.

"Bengal sultanate" or modern day Bangladesh produced 52% of Mughal Empire GDP & 33% of Worlds GDP. Bengal or modern day Bangladesh was first to fall to The East India Company at the Battle of Palashy/Plassey. .. that's why British East India Company HQ was located in Calcutta in undivided Bengal. ..Narayanganj Distric just 10km south to Dhaka in present day Bangladesh was the hub for the British trade & used to call "Dundee of the East". ..

Its not at all funny for those people living in those enclaves. Thousands of people living in those enclaves suffered for 70 years for basic human rights. All because India was not willing to solve this issue despite repeated request from Bangladesh. Its apalling that how little Indians know about the situation of their fellow citizens who were stranded inside another country for decades. Did Bangladesh gain anything significant except the end of the sufferings of those humans? did India lose anything significant from this agreement? Then why this nonsense procrastination for 70 years? India as a neighbour can act really horribly sometimes.
