I like to look in the comments of these tire comparison videos so I can gather more info from people that run them. Turns out every tire is simultaneously the best and worst ever. There will always be someone that drove over a field of long nails without a problem, while someone else popped one with a pressure washer.
I have the MT Baja Boss AT’s on my 2020 Defender… these tires are incredible, they perform wonderful off-road, super solid in snow and rain. The only negative I can come up with is that they are slightly louder than my Open Country AT’s, but that’s probably because the MT is an LT tire, versus a passenger tire… That said I think the MT’s are the most rugged and best looking tire in the “AT” class. Love mine
I’ve been running Kumho Road Venture AT51 and they are awesome in snow, wet - whatever! Don’t see many reviews on them but they are the only AT tire that has ever gone the full 50,000 mile warranty.
I would probably be happy with any on the list, and I've had many of the popular brand ATs. I've had Toyo AT3s on my diesel pickup for just under a year. I have taken a slight mpg hit, about .5 when I set the cruise control on relatively flat roads, over my previous Goodyears. But, these have the been the easiest truck tires I've ever had to have balance and keep well balanced. The part that I really need is hundreds/thousands of miles of rutted and washboard gravel roads, and two track ranch trails. Nothing really tough, but lots of it and all I want is to get me home reliably. I also drive long winters on hard packed snow and icy roads, with some heavy snowfalls and lots of drifting. I have to drive some regular highways for hours in 4wd. They are hands down excellent winter tires. I am not a mudder, but have to get through a fair amount of tacky gumbo that competely covers the truck and undercarriage, but these tires are respectable in mud to get me out of tough spots and on my way. I would easily buy them again and will probably get a set of p metrics for my daughter's cross over style awd.
Getting straight to it 🔥 I like it 🙏 I have the open country at3's and had no idea they where a new tire. I gotta say I love what I'm seeing. They grip the ground with ease and move through snow with no problem. Great tires
I’m surprised the Cooper AT3 XLTs haven’t made the list. After running through so many AT and MT tires over 20 years I’m super impressed with my current choice. The 37s are lighter than most 35s , aggressive, long lasting, quiet…I might not be switching to another AT
Most durable"M/T" tire is the Fallen wildpeak M/T. The sidewall is extremely thick which allows for low pressure daily driving which in turn smooths out the ride dramatically. I run 20 psi in my 35x12.50 r17 on my 2013 ram 2500 power wagon. Ony 3rd set with zero failures or punctures. Ran them all and falken has proven to me to be the best. I average 20,000 miles from a set of tires because I spend a lot of time off-road.
I'll never understand the love affair with KO2's. I bought a Tundra with them and I can't wait to get them off. They're borderline dangerous when its raining and are stiff as a board. Going with Grabbers next.
I have ko2s on my 04 Grand Cherokee (WJ) and am not a fan of them. I plan on going to Duratracs because they are suppose to be superb in Snow, a lot of people up here in Maine run them on their plow trucks.
@@tylerdubois9020 Hey, I live in Maine too! Duratracs are too loud for me TBH. They've also got a pretty thin sidewall, while the ATX has the same 3 ply sidewall as Generals MT's. I have 35' BFG AT's on my 2002 Lexus LX470. These tires did a good job. However, I did get a puncture of one of my KO2's when driving on gravel roads, so while non hardcore offroad. The tires were almost new with 5k km's on them. I hate unexpected punctures and look for a stronger tyre now. I plan to buy 35' Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's in the next iteration. The General Graber ATX ended second on my list. I prefer the Baja Boss AT's as they are 3 ply tires while most AT's are 2 ply tires.
I've been running the Falken wildpeak atw3 on 2 vehicles. A 02 Sequoia and a 2013 f-150.fx4 with a lift and 33/11/18. I love this tire. Great wet traction and dry handling. It's amazing in sand and snow. Best tire I've ever had. But my next tire for the Ford is the Mickey Thompson Baja boss just cause i.want a more aggressive look than the Falken.

KO2's have let me down multiple times in wet conditions. I don't know if this new one has actually fixed that issue. Out of these tires which one has the deepest tread depth?
general grabber atx has 16/32
Mud Claw Extream. They are made by Cooper, they are inexpensive, and hit in a higher value segment. They are a mud tire, not an "all terrian" tire. These tires can handle rocks, dirt, sand, snow, or asphalt and at less the $250cdn for 33x10.5 10ply, I will be getting another set.
Tires like Cooper are made in Asia are lower costs than tires "Made in the USA."
Lol the Toyo AT3 is not at all close to an RT
Toyo open country 3 are the worst tired I’ve ever owned
Why? I had been looking at those. What made them so bad?
@@zimmejoc awful in wet and snowy conditions
I have a set of AT3‘s and I’ve had them in severe weather conditions in the Sierras… they’ve performed wonderful in the snow, in fact the best tire I’ve had in the snow
@@stevesalinas well mine must be duds because they suck in any slick conditions
@@truellas sometimes tires just don’t match up well to certain vehicles. My Defender has excellent terrain response…. I’m sure that helps with traction
Cool
You are out of your mind. Kenda Klever RT’s are the best, I’ve tried your tire reviews. Kenda’s are better…
Have you tried them against the Mickey Thompson Baja boss at? Mostly trying to decide between both of those. Considering the Hercules x ventures as well
I used general tire I can't afford Continental
Kenda Klever R/T
I value my life… which means I will never run KO2’s. In ANY weather other than dry, they are terrifying. I don’t get the boner people have with them, I just don’t get it
Second!
Of what?
2 snow flake rating?lol

Insanely annoying music
