The shirt you're wearing looks like a psycadellic space Katsina. The way you describe "imagining" your shapes as you fold and scrunch the shirt into it's pattern sounds so lovely. Thank you!
Absolutely love your videos, you are an awesome instructor! I hope you are teaching somewhere because people would love you. Thanks so much fir the time you've spent on these.

I would really like to thank you for your videos before I watched your videos I was pretty angry and upset with everything in the world, I watched this video one night and just started tie-dying right after that it has brought me a lot of peace and a lot of Tranquility and for that I thank you my friend. You didn't give me a fish, You taught me how to fish. Would love to show you some of my work sometime.
I really love all your videos, from the tie die tutorials , to your lovely life videos. Man I wish I knew someone with passion such as yours! I wanna go on adventures!!! But I don't know where to go lol I live in the States , specifically in Southern California.... Its very ... Unnatural.. I love being in earthy settings😊 I wanna walk outside my house n see nothing but trees! 🙏
You are like tie-dye Sensei. meticulous and gorgeous. Thanks for sharing all your trade secrets - secrets no more. Do you know how many years it would take the rest of us to figure all this out. You are amazing. Thanks.
Thank you so much for making this video- I've learned so much and you've revived my love for tie dyeing! I've had a lot of difficulty finding resources to learn from, so I'm super grateful.
Thank you so much for these incredible instructions. I've been wanting to try ice dying but couldn't find a good tutorial until I saw this. I just finished my two shirts yesterday and they came out amazing!!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It helped me a ton.
thank you very much for sharing these vids, I have not done the ice yet as I am waiting on the powders but I have done about 30 shirts using the folding techniques you lay out and using liquid dyes with fantastic results of mirrored random imagery, thanks again
trying to figure out how to upload a few pics, lol for some reason my G+ and youtube accounts are listed as a business so its different to upload and share
I made my first tie dye last night following this technique. My shirt came out great for being my first one. I used liquid vs. ice. Thank you for your vids. A lot of fun to make.
Wow!!!! I want this kind of diff.combination of dye colors! Can i have one please.... 🤗 I love it!!! 😊 You are amazing in terms of art! Good job sir! Im from the phillipines! 😊

I just found you on TH-cam and LOVE this tutorial. Between your soothing voice and the perfect swirl/scrunch I'm addicted. Is there a link to part 2? Thanks so much.
Very Talented. Each shirt is a work of art. Thank you for sharing. And you are also an excellent teacher. What brand of dye do you use and where do you buy it?
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these vids. If only everyone would share more knowledge, what a happier place the world would be. I am inspired to have another go at dying some shirts, as my earlier attempts were never that good and this seems almost fool-proof! One question please..it didn't seem as though you were using much dye powder - I know the shirts are not super colour saturated could you give me an idea of what amount of colour you may use for a shirt - 10 teaspoons full? Cheers
Hey Tim, welcome back to the fold! Oh puns. You're probably not too far off in your guess. That's a 2ml spoon I'm using, and while it's hard to be precise with all the little taps, I'd gander around 2-5 spoonfuls per side, so 2-5 tsp in total. Doesn't sound like much, but it's actually quite a bit more than you'd use with traditional liquid dying. The only thing I'd really advise against is large clumps of powder (anything approaching a pencil eraser in size), as it won't spread, and just goes to waste. Other than that, you'd be hard pressed to go wrong here. So enjoy yourself, set aside any expectations of the result, and see what the universe has to say.
Hey crispy! Awesome I watch your videos to relax and get inspo! Wondering what dyes you use? I’m ready to try your ideas! Can I buy these on amazon? I am in Canada
I typically don't care for normal tie dye jobs...but these...these are stunning works of art youve created! Excellent job. I would buy your creations in a quick second. Do you sell any? Thank you for sharing😊
love it. I can never get mine to turn out as well. I think I need better dye as well as more colors. I have a request though. I'm sure it is super simple I haven't tried it yet.. but making an alien face with a galaxy background on the shirt with tie die. btw. love your work!
I want the shirt your wearing! ;) Thanks for sharing this technique! Ive made some cool designs after watching But i just freakin Love the one u have on! I know that no 2 shirts will be the same, but if u can Please tell me what pleating, scrunching, or whatever techniques u used & how u applied the color? It's like the bright colors PoP out from black outlines~ 💗💕 Love!
Bridge z Hey Bridge-- the one I'm wearing is brown, gray, black on one side; and peach, yellow, sparing bright green on the other. If I recall right, the dyes were spread in wider dustings than the tappy little bits I did on this one. Good luck~
Hi Crispin, great video, thank you so min for sharing, I was wondering if you could help, what if I wanted to do this style of tie dye on a sheet? Is the folding still possible?

Can I also get a similar kind of pattern without the ice? So with the usual, liquid colours? Awesome tutorial!!
You can, but you won't get the same depth and textures, it'll appear flatter.
Thanks for the tips on this technique, Crispy.
1 question - why do you turn your shirts inside out?
I get the rest of it.
It's to get a perfect reflection (a perfection!) down the middle on both sides. It's explained in this video: th-cam.com/video/xeY73VPtjqY/w-d-xo.html
Crispy perflection
You have some serious good ASMR vibes imo.
Hi Crispin, great video, thank you so min for sharing, I was wondering if you could help, what if I wanted to do this style of tie dye on a sheet? Is the folding still possible?
