Saw you in game and had no idea you were a TH-camr. You gave me a bunch of stuff that really helped me out cause I was very low level. Also love the name lmao
You have to place them on a pressure plate. I powered mine with a small generator and stood one corner, with the fireplace on the opposite corner, then click toggle camera, hover over the fireplace that is on the ground and click it over and over and you will start to see the fireplace merging downwards into the fireplace that is on the ground. I hope that makes sense.😊
Thank you. Got it to work. Now my issue is the 45 degree walls are snapping backwards on one side which wont allow me to snap a roof. I varied my roof design and was able to get it to work without floating the roof once but had to tear everything down because the fireplace wasnt centered. Now the right side of the buildings walls face outward and left inward so only allows roof on one side. Spent about 6 hrs on this. Im deter.i ed please help. Is there a cetain build pattern so outside walls will go the same way
Yes, a few things have changed since I made this tutorial, and you can simply break the firplace on the bottom of the stack with the flamethrower. You shouldn't need the conduit on the bottom.
No, I'm on Playstation, but it's entirely possible that you've visited a camp inspired by my build, as I've got a full tutorial on my channel on how to build it. 😁
Absolutely. I'm planning on doing a full build video of the log cabin #2 build, which is the improved version of lakeside. Stay tuned for that. It will be a multiple part build series that I'll likely start next week.
I wonder if you can make a double sided one? As in having a fire place in each side of the wall or put them back to back and repair the wall and put the merged on on the roof
@@StoleYaSweetroll yeah I got it to go back to back but I need to see if I can merge them together, do I need to use pvp or do do you think I can use a flamethrower to merge them?
@@JivinJoe0984 it may be possible to merge them using the flamethrower trap, it all depends on if the bottom wall will snap over the broken fireplace. It's kinda hit or miss. If not you'll have to use the conduit method to get it done, and hitting the conduit with a flame trap is exceedingly difficult.
Trying to place the smokestack. Placed on conduit on fireplace but pvp wont show a lock on conduit to break. The smokestack and fireplace will. Any advice
When it comes to breaking items in camp to do merges, you can use a myriad of different items to get the job done. The rule is pretty straightforward with it. Every item relies on being supported by something. Be it the ground, a floor, or another object. All support ties back to the ground, so when you're building and you have multiple items in a support chain you can manipulate the system to allow to to merge in overlapping pieces by breaking an item in that chain to make every item that was supported by that link disappear, allowing you to place overlapping items without the traditional collision flags you get from destroying just the item you want to merge into. This also works with spike board traps and shooting targets because when those are activated, they break, and if you have objects on top, they will vanish until the trap or shooting target is repaired. Conduit can be tricky to target sometimes, but at the time I made this tutorial, we didn't have access yet to some of the other items we could use to merge. The shooting targets that were given away by prime gaming are a wonderful item to use for merging, as you don't need pvp to target them and break them on your own. Back to what you got going on, though, if you can't hit your object that is supporting the stack of items you want to merge, there's no real penalty in destroying the items stacked on top so you can hit the item you need to break.
So after watching many of your tutorials I have been playing around with foundation merges to see what kind of things I could create. For some reason when the merge fails the foundations will then not let me remove them. Have you happened on this before?
okay... I think I'm dong something wrong or Bethesda patched the merge glitch. I keep getting the error 'Can't Place CAMP Outside Playable Area'. No matter where I try to build or what I try to merge, it won't work. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Going forward i don't see myself building any trap C.A.M.P.s, however i don't hate on those who do. We all play differently, and some of those camps are quite clever. The builds that I specialize in are ones emulating real world homes, or architecture. If there's a topic or style you would like covered along those lines feel free to suggest them, and I'll do my best to feature it in a future video.
