I love how McHaggis-man managed to keep just enough difficulty in the medium chart to where you really feel like you’re progressing as a player. As someone stuck in medium limbo, it would definitely benefit medium players to play this chart and practice it nonstop as they progress to harder difficulties. No one just starts at expert, so props.

I understand the criticisms about the charts' difficulties not really lining up with the difficulties they are made for, but this is one of the hardest charts ever made(that is intended to be played by humans).

It's hard because you change your hand so quickly which can fuck up your FC, hard chart has one note after the 3 note chord, so you have time to switch, thus bringing your opinion, invalid (ps been playing this guitar hero for 7 years sooo,)

Nah not really. The game lets you anchor with only 2 notes instead of the constant switching.

For everyone that's saying that easy, medium etc, are really hard and unfair, well thing is, soulless 4 wasn't made to be easy at all. Easy doesn't just mean anyone that's played for more than a week, less or more, he or she can play it. Secondly, Simplifying this song more than it already is, would make it pretty boring, undercharted, and melodically incorrect for the music, the chart, and for the player, making it harder. Lastly, if you were more or less underexperienced, why are you playing soulless 4 when you know your not good at it, much less Clone Hero/Guitar Hero in general?

I can beat guitar hero songs on expert, some with over 95% and 1 fc, but medium looks impossible to me. Half the expert songs in main guitar her games look easier than medium.

It breaks the musical sync that i usually like to follow in my mind when i listen to music
well, they are a bit undercharted because that's one of the main thing happening on lower difficulties back in GH1-GH2-GH3-... And compare to normal GH, they don't nesecerly do the 25% notes/50% notes/75% notes/100% notes (Easy/Medium/Hard/Expert for the matching difficulties/% of notes), if they was, they will do like this:
Easy: 2 251 or 2 252
Medium: 4 502 or 4 503
Hard: 6 753 or 6 754
Expert: 9 005
but, they do:
Easy: 3 495 (38,812%)
Medium: 5 607 (62,265%)
Hard: 7 817 (86,807%)
Expert 9 005 (100%)

I only play fuitar hero in expert, but I'd probably fail this song on medium.
Looking at the 'easy' chart reminded me of why I quit rhythm games.
Hard looks like a ton of fun in my opinion. It has most of the elements of expert but the tapping doesn't require the 6 or 7 finger tapping skill like expert does and that's what I cannot do.

It's always been like that. Expert doesn't add another fret, and usually features the same things as Hard but at a slightly increased. intensity.

(Sorry for late reply) Actually, it's not harder on hard. Most of the HOPO chords are followed by a single note which is the lowest color of the chords. Thus, you only have to let go of one fret, instead of both frets which you have to do on Expert.

Undercharting note groups of 4 as triplets makes no sense.
The quads are usually sixteenth notes or eighth notes and the trips are usually eighth note triplets or quarter note triplets. 4 sixteenths equal 3 eighth note triplets and 4 eighths equal 3 quarter note triplets, so I’d say it makes a lot of sense.

i have to say that the hard chart is not loyal to the games. if there is a hard part on expert, it would be way nerfed on hard mode. take jordan for example. the hard chart pales in comparison. The chart displayed is way too hard for it to be hard difficulty if one were to be loyal. exilelords hard chart is the same, but that wasn’t meant to be a hard difficulty chart.

medium feels like the only fair representation of a rhythm game chart for this song. easy may be challenging, but its clear that it's been dumbed down. meanwhile i can spot countless unnecessary extra notes in hard and expert that make it clearly feel like this song was just designed to be a bullshit difficulty rhythm game challenge, rather than it's own song that was charted naturally.
medium feels like it keeps everything that is necessary, and throws away the bullshit that ONLY exists to make the map harder.
although i do like the variation in patterns i'm seeing across difficulties.

It's great for people that are just under the level of playing the Expert chart. I guess kinda like an Expert Minus. I find it actually fun, not overly hard but not too easy for me personally. I found S5's Hard chart boring in comparison, even tho it is better in terms of difficulty progression.

Eh. Not done very well IMO. Hard could pass off as an expert song, medium could pass off as a hard song (Expert in some parts 😕) and easy could pass as a medium. The other difficulties are too similar to the expert track. For progression it would be nice but you shouldn’t have to learn expert techniques to pass a song on medium.

Honestly I feel the hard chart is in a good spot right now. I can comfortably get myself up to 96-98% tops. There are parts I still have to practise, such as murderous and some others, but I genuinely feel like SL4 on hard is fine as is. Any "easier" (because I'm not saying it's easy), would defeat the purpose of it being a proper challenge for those mad enough to try.

Isn’t the point of easier difficulties to prepare you to move up to harder ones? I personally feel like while easy is by no means a beginner track, it’s definitely one that you would practice as you prepare to move on to medium. Moving to the medium chart specifically may not happen right away, but it sure is a good test of skills you’ve built up, and a good challenge to reveal what you still need practice on. I’m personally okay with all three of the lower difficulty charts.
