You're a bit higher on this film than I was! Movies like this that try to balance tension and comedy effectively have to be handled by a true master of the medium, and the pacing of this film really held it back from reaching its true potential. There is so much wasted time in the middle of the film that could've been spent getting us attached to these characters in order to make the conclusion that much more impactful. I think Zoe Kravitz has a future as a director, but this one didn't really land for me. Great review, Gavin!
Yeah I watched your review and we both mentioned that 45 minutes or so middle section that really slows the film down. I still recommend checking the film out though there's a lot of good stuff in there
