    Scope is a great thing. About 20 years ago I got THS720A, battery operated portable 100MHZ scope with DMM. It still operational until now. One of my most valuable instruments

      @@Anatoly_Panchenko yes, I had no idea these are so available now (prices). I always remembered digital ones to be very pricey, especially the portable ones. When I saw price on that one there was no second thoughts just instant purchase :)

      @ even now, portable tecscopes aren’t cheap. My scope at 2000 cost around $3000, now on ebay possible to grab such scope per 200-300 bucks only

    Bought the same. Looks great and covers all my needs. And it has 10mV sensitive, which is great. 1013D is older and has 50mv sensitivity.

    Great! Thank you for doing this Greg! I'm actually looking closer at test equipment because I make my own cables and I am interested in how they measure.

    I got that 2C53P directly fom Fnirsi for less then 100.- including shipment (from Belgium). Yes, with coupons, but its easy to get them.

    Fantastic that you did this! This device opens up tools that were previously out of bounds. I had zoomed in to your previous video to find the model number, (ordered it) and now I can learn how to use it.
    In the earlier video, you were measuring ripple. What tool would people use, and are there any scale parameters that are helpful in looking at ripple. Thanks!

      The best tool for that would be oscilloscope. Impulse power supplies have that in range of 100-150mV, LPSes way lower - in general the lower the value the better

    I have been eyeing this instead of the cheapest benchtop (Hantek) that I see.

      Its really nice and the fact that its battery powered is really useful not only when working on the car or something like that but also around my home, one power suppy and one power cable less in my mess :)

    Hi . Thanks for good items from Ali . I have question:
    : Can I measure DC voltage in a 120v AC outlet?
    Is it possible to measure the sine wave of a 120-250v outlet???
    Does it have protection against accidental incorrect measurements of voltage or current , ... ?
    Thanks

    What distortion analyzer do you use for controlling the units?
    Thank's!

      None at the moment. I'm giving the manufacture's specs where available.
      I'd like to have AP or cosmos ADC at some point and do the measurements though.

    For the same brand , they have a adjustable DC power supply from 0v to 30v.. do you think this kind of DC supplier will be better than the linear DC power supplier ?

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@richardlui8914 I've seen that one and I was thinking about getting it. It should be close in performance, it's precisely adjustable too.
      I didn't get it (yet?) because it would be for testing only, I wouldn't use it for a daily driver because of display and easily accessible knobs. I have a 11yo daughter, she has friends visiting from time to time, I would be afraid that at some point someone would notice glowing thingy with knobs you can turn and see the numbers change

    I would like to ask. It seems that the oscilloscope Fnirsi 2c53p probe included with this equipment can only be set to x1 and x10, even if I buy an x100, it cannot be configured. So, with the probes it comes with, can I measure and see the 220V mains voltage at x10? According to the manual, I believe it only supports 400V peak to peak, and I think the mains voltage could exceed that since it is 220V RMS (and in some cases it can exceed 240V). I need help with this before buying because no one says anything about this.

      @k4syx  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Specs say its +/-400V AC on oscilloscope and 800V AC on mulitmeter - you'll be fine.
      DC is up to 1000V which surprised me btw. Thats a lot!
