28 million HKD can buy you a beach front house in Australia

In England you can buy a country mansion with a few acres of land

I can only imagine the maintenance costs per unit

That's definitely a factor, housing charges (e.g. repair costs) may vary depending on the unit.

What about underground car parking in or adjacent to the building please?

This unit does not come with a car parking space, but there are car parks nearby!

It's so cluttered! They didn't clean it up for sale?

Really love the vibe of the apartment and love how the owner had decorated it. Shame that you can't see out of the window in the kitchen. this is just under £3 millions and will get you a nice country house with a couple acres of land, probably a swimming pool, a tennis court and some out buildings here in UK. However, if I have the money and if I am looking for a place in HK, definitely would look at this place - the only deal breaker could be the stairs! Lol!

Thanks for your thoughtful comment! Yes, the owner’s decoration really adds a unique charm to the apartment and it's fascinating to compare what £3 million can get you in different markets. Hong Kong’s property prices are definitely on the higher side, especially in prime locations. Glad to hear you liked this property!

People in Hong Kong have terribly hard lives, especially in terms of living environment...

It's 28 million HKD, not USD. Converted that's 3.5 million.
Still expensive, yes, but it's 1700+ square feet...which is massive by Hong Kong standards, in one of the most expensive places in the world
