    Wow, This is what I didn't find from the other video. It's so useful. Thank you so much. I have a question when I scan the artwork. The quality it's not good enough I think. Could you suggest for me how to make it look better?

    • @printmesomecolor
      @printmesomecolor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make sure you put something heavy like a book on the scanner so that the artwork is flat against the scanner. The scanned version will be blurry in some areas if the artwork doesn’t lie flat against the scanning surface. Scan at high resolution, I recommend at least 300.

    Honestly this is the best tutorial I have ever seen . I came across it cause I was looking to make a logo out of my watercolor painting ..
    It's a painting of a cake that I have in watercolor and I want to import that into ps to make a logo. Could you do a tutorial on making logos? Dimensions for small stuff

    • @printmesomecolor
      @printmesomecolor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thank you! Logo wouldn't be much different from this tutorial. Except that you should REALLY make sure that you have clean edges. One thing with logo, scan it in the highest possible dpi settings so that you can increase the size of the image to a huge size in photoshop. The trick would be to create a PSD file with the image in it's highest size, because you cannot increase the size of the logo/image later (it will affect its clarity). You can always decrease the size depending on the platform you will be using the logo for.

    I really appreciate your video tutorial SOooo so much! You dont know how long I've been trying to find the best way to edit art digitally on PS and AI and for that reason I subbed straight away! This was just fantastic!! Please if you have a tutorial on creating water colour art using procreate and then editing via PS..also do you vector you designs as well for the purpose of high quality clipart ? .. thank you a million once again!!! You def deserve more viewers and followers!!! 😁😁😁😊😊😊👌👌👌🙏🙏👋😍😍 bye for now :)

    This was great thank you! Can I ask if you have any knowledge in bringing Watercolor paintings done in procreate on the iPad and editing in photoshop to make clipart etc. Would it be a similar process to this? Thanks again ❤️

    • @printmesomecolor
      @printmesomecolor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it would! I usually shift my work between photoshop and procreate, where I use photoshop to clean up artwork and procreate to add nice white borders (while making stickers, I find it nicer to do it in procreate than in phototshop) or to add handwritten text.

    Thanks so much for this tutorial, it really helped me understand the settings of the scanner to get high resolution. I was wondering, can a watercolor floral painting be printed on a 24x30 inch poster and still have high quality resolution? With the flower that you singled out to edit on a small size canvas document, can that be printed on a large size poster and still have high resolution?
    Does it need to be vectorized for high resolution because I don't like the look of a watercolor flower image once it's vectorized. Please let me because I can't seem to find answers anywhere else. Thanks so much.

    • @printmesomecolor
      @printmesomecolor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, if you scan a 5x5 inch image at 300 res and try to scale it, it won't look good. What you COULD do is scan the watercolor painting in as high res as you could, then use the Image > Image size option to adjust the resolution and image size. For example, if I scan an image in 600dpi, let's say image size is 4000x4000 pixels, I could go to image> image size, set the resolution to 300 (do this step first) and change the width and height to 8000x8000 pixels. This ensures the image can be scaled up and the resolution is still good.

    • @SuperVaness2
      @SuperVaness2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for getting back to me. Can I ask what is the purpose of reducing the resolution from 600 dpi to 300 dpi? wouldn't that reduce the resolution as well even if the width and height are increased?

    • @printmesomecolor
      @printmesomecolor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Btw, I meant 600 ppi to 300, not DPI. When you try to increase the image size, you need to compensate it with resolution - they are interlinked. 300 ppi is a good enough resolution, you really don't need 600 in most cases.

    • @printmesomecolor
      @printmesomecolor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the magic wand tool. It automatically detects areas of same color and then you can click on delete. It might be a little extra work to get all the bits and pieces. You can then use the lasso tool to hand select the areas or use erase tool.
