Beautiful ❤ will definitely save this pattern in my blankets folder to make after I finish the two baby blankets I’m currently working on!! Thanks so much!
Lovely blanket thanks for sharing I've done this before with do but never thought of using a bigger hook it gives it a much better drape thanks so much .💖💖
Thank you so so so very much for this tutorial. I just completed a beautiful baby blanket following along with your instruction, for my dear friend who has just given birth. Really easy to follow pattern and your instructions are very clear. Bless you xoxo
You did a fantastic job with your video. I’ve never made a baby blanket before or used baby fine yarn. I made an afghan for my daughter in law for her sister. I wanted to share it with you just don’t know how. Thank you so much for sharing with us. ❤
Amanda, you did it again. Another great pattern and tutorial. I’m getting better but I still appreciate you mentioning where to place the stitch markers. I think I have the perfect yarn in my stash for this. I can’t wait to start this project. 😊
Do you have written instructions for this pattern? I am trying to write it down as you say it and it would be so much easier to just read the instructions.
All written instructions are listed in the description box below the video. I’ve include a link for the free pattern in my website as well as a paid PDF version. Enjoy!
I want to thank you for a great video. I’ve never made a baby afghan with baby yarn before and thanks to your video I just finished it for my daughter in laws sister who’s having a baby girl. I tried to post a couple pictures of my finished blanket I’m not sure how to post a picture on here to share with you my finished blanket ❤
You’re very welcome! I’m so glad you tried this blanket out and now have a beautiful blanket of your own to give. If you ever want to post photos, you can tag me on instagram by tagging amandacrochets
I’ve made shell stitch blankets using blue, white and gray stripes and thought it looked really nice. I think this pattern works for either a boy or a girl. What colors would you use?

Hi Amanda, I'm a new subscriber from Sydney Australia, Pam told me about you because I love the crocheted scarf she made and the pattern. I asked her where she got the pattern from and she told me about you. I look forward to make this blanket and learn the delicate shell stitich. Hugs
Hello and thanks for subscribing! I hope you enjoy my content and crochet many wonderful things! This blanket quickly became a favorite, so I hope you enjoy making it as well 😊🧶
I desperately want to make this blanket but I struggle with the shell stitch. After the SC, when I reach across to do the first DC of the shell, my yarn stretches and I get a gap/hole. Any advice to correct this?

Love the pattern, would like to know how would this look in stripes and for a boy. Thank you

At the border when you say turn your work is it turn to the next side or work from the back side of the blanket?
After each round of the border, you will turn your work meaning you will go in the opposite direction from the previous round.
Pls can you show how to decrease and increase using this stitch ❤🙏
If you want your blanket smaller or bigger, you will change up your chain length. The chain multiple is 6+2.
