This game is basically the Wii equivalent of Superman 64, rings and everything.
And that's a shame, because everything in this game seems like a bunch of cool ideas.
Then you realize its actually all recycled from the bad engine they used to make games quick and cheap
You know how in most cases, you can't really feel how bad a game's controls are until you try them yourself? Well, WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING HERE?! I can really feel how bad this game's controls are. I feel so bad for you Mavvy.

@@BenjaMage this looked as bad as I had thought Super Monkey Ball BB was going to play when I first played that game... because, I had the misfortune of having this game... THIS GAME as one of my first experiences with the Wii, alongside some chicken shooting game, and MK Wii and Galaxy 1
thankfully I was never more happy to be wrong about Monkey Ball... aside from the somewhat slow camera

Going back to us making jokes about Mario characters doing simple errands, a game about Wario and Waluigi buying Kroger might've not been a bad idea, after watching footage of this game.
Wait...I HAD THIS! I remember trying it for hours before completely giving up as a kid. I didn't expect this video to dig up some awful memories so that's a nice suprise.

Good news: this game donated money to charity at least. StephenPlay’s Extra Life charity stream had this game come up, and it……. Well, let’s put it this way: they didn’t play the tutorial. It’s amazing.
I got more news. More money has donated because of TheRunawayGuys Colosseum. They tried to play the tutorial this time, but it did not go great.

This is like one of those blockbuster games you buy once and never return it because you forgot about it.
As someone who just finished a Harry Potter movie marathon, thank you for reminding me that Sturgeon's law will always be in effect, especially when a cashgrab like this game can be created off of someone else's work and success.

Me and my brother actually have the Anubis II game. We played it like a 2-player game, I used the wiimote to jump and attack, my lil bro used the nunchuk to move around.
If you ever play that, my pro-tip for attacking enemies with close combat is to face AWAY from them before you swing. Facing them makes it a 50-50 chance you'll get hit as well, but facing away makes it less likely to happen.
(of course, the better option is to just use Anubis's magic spell attack, as although it starts off weak, the more you use it to defeat enemies, the stronger your spell gets.)

For the record, the Harry Potter games often have Quidditch minigames, some of which involved flying a broomstick through rings.
And most of those worked a hell of a lot better than this!

Saw this game's mutiplayer on a charity stream and it was a wild time. And turns out with stuff I didn't even realized existed until this video, the game has even more "quailty" than I realized.

As much as I would love Obscure Kart Racers 3 (or at least mentioning Final Fantasy racing). May I suggest reviewing other types of game genres like strategy games? Some are pretty comparable to RPGS.

DDI forced the developers to make their games within about a month (maybe less, I can't quite remember) so there is a good chance that this WAS the pitch.

I had one of data design’s other kart racing games as a kid. I believe it was called Mystic Makers? All I remember about it was that one time I put the controller down to watch the butterflies flying on one of the tracks because the game was so boring xD

Myth Makers: Super GP Kart, is probably what you're thinking of. Part of their attempt to make a mascot franchise of their own (they made three Myth Makers games).

@@loosecannonhunter7118 Well, the other two weren't kart racers; one was a 3D platformer (which was a copy-paste of Ninjabread Man, Anubis II and Rock n' Roll Adventures), and the other was a Super Monkey Ball clone.

Spellbreak is actually really cool and fun with the different spells and fast movement. I like using ice to skate around

Honestly Action girls Racing has the same unresponsive motion controls with steering. Plus the mirror power up lasts like half a second and you can get shot by racers already finished with racing if you get lapped.
I was thinking it'd be the bootleg Aladdin racer you mentioned in the Rudolph video, lol.

Unless someone else has a better idea. Anyway, back on topic, Yikes. What a game. And I thought Sonic and the Secret Rings' controls were awkward, at best. Nonetheless, this was entertaining.

The response is a couple years late, but to answer the question: The song played in the racing segment is “The Gauntlet” and yes, it is music from “Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex”.

Toon Town. Oh how I miss Toon Town. Anyways, wow they dropped the ball. I swear this looks like something that they didn't even test at all. I would have LOVED the idea of something like this, but after seeing how bad the controls are, and all that, I don't think I'd ever want to touch this game.
And I know controls are something you need to experience to understand, but this is easily an instance where the footage speaks for itself. Sorry about what you had to go through.
