@@nassaubahamas5494 Not really. And if you genuinely think Button was even remotely close to Hamilton at McLaren, you should probably go back and watch those seasons.
@@nassaubahamas5494 Correct, he did. Just like Button outscored Alonso, Kubica outscored Russell, Piquet outscored Schumacher in '91, and John Surtees outscored Jim Clark. See my point? You should go back and actually watch those seasons. Unadjusted, Hamilton beat Button 27 - 20 in races and thrashed him 44 - 14 in qualifying. Adjusted for mechanical DNFs, it's 38 - 21 in Hamilton's favour for race results. Hamilton lost a staggering 75 points in 2012 from the lead ALONE (without even factoring in Spain, Valencia etc.) Button is much better than a lot of people than give him credit for - one of the best drivers on the grid - but he wasn't close to Hamilton on pace. The "points" argument is mostly a bad-faith argument by people who ignore the context surrounding those circumstances.
@@nassaubahamas5494 This is absolute nonsense. Hamilton massively outpaced him, even in 2011, his worst year in F1. Button outpaced and overtook Hamilton a total of four times in their tenure together: Turkey 2010, where Hamilton immediately re-overtook him and pulled a gap, Canada 2011, when he put Hamilton into the wall, Japan 2011, where Hamilton let him through, and Hungary 2011, when McLaren put him on the wrong tyres. To say Button had the measure of Hamilton, or was even equal with him, when Hamilton beat him 27 - 20 and led him 37 - 20 in race, is just wrong. And if you think Albon and Gasly are even remotely comparable to Alonso, Button, and Rosberg, or even Bottas, I don't know what to tell you.

Bottas is the Scottie Pipen of the Formula 1 world. He deserves much more credit than he gets. Yes, he gets outclassed by his teammate, but his teammate is one of the most dominant racers in the history of F1.
Bottas is the Barrichello of the Formula 1 world. He let win his world class teammate not 1 , not 2 but 4 WDC.
Not really, Scottie was the leader of the Bulls while MJ was the franchise player, there is the big difference between Pip and Bottas, Bottas is neither one or the other ! The face and the leader of Mercedes is LH, Bottas is the n°2.
Hamilton lost a staggering 75 points in 2012 from the lead ALONE (without even factoring in Spain, Valencia etc.)
Button is much better than a lot of people than give him credit for - one of the best drivers on the grid - but he wasn't close to Hamilton on pace.
Looking at the Mercedes crew and totos face I am sure we are going to hear the 'Valteri it's James' at least once in this season
