Helpful video. I’ve used Google, Ring, and Aqara. Of everything out there the Eufy you reviewed looks the best and apparently works quite well. I feel like something that matches both from and function is important to place in the front of your house.

Fun fact: with the Google Nest, i managed to capture a flasher that was going around my floor and he didn't even notice i had a smart doorbell. The video quality was so clear that the police managed to nab him in a few hours.

Interested in how someone would wire up a doorbell or Poe. Are we allowed to make a hole and put trunking in the public corridor? Also interested in winning the floor mat =)
Depends on the house. Older HDB flats have the Netlink Trust fibre optic cable with trunking running from the riser outside into the house. I use the same trunking to run power to my doorbell outside the door.
my list includes whether the doorbell has night vision capability, initially i thought that this would be very important but then I realize all apartment housing in singapore have pretty well-lit corridor
Hey Alex, may I know why you excluded the Logitech Circle View Doorbell please? Hoping to get the indoor Circle View cameras for my home and thought having the doorbell too would be a good idea in standardisation. Also, I’m connecting to HomeKit Secure Video
logitech is not a company that is focused on producing home security cameras or active in the smart home field, so I didn't shortlist them in this video
@@AlexTeo thanks for the comment Alex. 2 days ago, I was so close to buying the whole Logitech suite of cameras but the ultra bad reviews put me off. Now I won’t be considering them. Still looking at a very good and reliable camera setup (indoor CCTV and doorbell) that play nice with Apple HomeKit Secure Video. Got any recommendations?
basically in Singapore, people are not going to the door lock to look for the doorbell. And also, most people will have a gate and the gate is going to block the entire view of the camera. There are no quick replies that you can set, as for the audio quality, I have not tested them yet whether its usable. Interested in how someone would wire up a doorbell or Poe. Are we allowed to make a hole and put trunking in the public corridor?
Also interested in winning the floor mat =)
i will figure this out with my electrician for my next house haa
Depends on the house. Older HDB flats have the Netlink Trust fibre optic cable with trunking running from the riser outside into the house.
I use the same trunking to run power to my doorbell outside the door.
Alex what about image quality at night or when theres not enough lighting?
my list includes whether the doorbell has night vision capability, initially i thought that this would be very important but then I realize all apartment housing in singapore have pretty well-lit corridor
@@AlexTeo can google nest doorbell connect with android phone and iphone without using the nest display?
@@Kalimatullah_Yoh1-1.14 ya, the google nest hub is just a smart display
Good recommendation as usual. If only this video was released earlier. Have purchased the Xiaomi unit. 😂
the xiaomi unit is alright for its price haa
Which one is heavy rain-proof?
the highest rating i saw before is IP65, that includes eufy, ezviz, arlo
@@xevenex you can only go with aqara if you value homekit secure video
Interested in winning the anti slip bathroom floormat~~😗
@@MarKYapXR u got it for the first comment dm me on IG
Aiya. I just bought aqara door bell and then saw this video. Haha. But still the right decision for me as I wanted HomeKit compatible one.
yeah not many choices for homekit
Hi Alex, is it possible to include whether they support RSTP/RTMP for HAOS/frigate support
hmm i only know what's RTSP, no clue of those protocols..
Hi, could you share what is the disadvantage of getting digital lock with digital viewer? I'm considering lockin S50M pro. Thank you in advance.
basically in Singapore, people are not going to the door lock to look for the doorbell. And also, most people will have a gate and the gate is going to block the entire view of the camera. There are no quick replies that you can set, as for the audio quality, I have not tested them yet whether its usable. Most of the high end or advance digital lock come with the viewer, it's a nice added feature but don't see it as a replacement of what a smart video doorbell is able to do
Thanks for the video, it’s so informative! I’m interested to win the doormat! 😊
Is there other door bell for Tuya that's better then Mowe?
@@zhenghua2482 software will be the same, some have dual camera
any in this list that can be used outdoors for those not living in apartments?
Each of them has some IP rating so depends on your situation
Thank you
Alex, can i check if eify can be installed to HDB doorbell with wired connected? Thanks in advance.
all of the doorbells in the video can be wired, except for the xiaomi
Hi Alex, re Tapo D230S1 if I do not want to download into micro sd card, where can I delete the vcd recording, each time after viewing.
there are no free storage, the sd card is the only place where recordings are stored. Unless you are talking about subscribing to their cloud storage?
@@AlexTeo This raises a question. The Tapo can accommodate a large capacity SIM card which will record many hours of recordings and then when the card is full delete the oldest, and carry on recording new files.
5:05 wait, what you put up on the wall?
amazon echo show 15
@AlexTeo which one can do the two-way communication in Google Home Nest ?
@@ucokmedan3506 i guess you are asking about the nest hub, the nest doorbell works the best it
@@AlexTeo ah yes that's what i mean. is there any alternative besides nest doorbell that compatible to do two-way communication in google nest hub? I see eufy and ring doorbell do the works well.
Hi Alex, thanks for the video. How to secure these doorbell and not get stolen by people?
not really, you can only make it a little harder and longer so that it capture and record the person's face
I have the Eufy with Homebase so even if the doorbell is stolen everything is recorded on the Homebase at home so hopefully you know who stole it
The latest TP-LINK TAPO D235 will be a good choice as you can connect to a 24volt DC to have continuous monitoring
Does eufy e340 work with HA?
nope for me, not sure whether anyone managed to get it work
Hi Alex, wish I saw your vcd before I installed my Tapo D230S1. I can only see range left to right, but when a parcel is placed on the floor at my door, the cam did not capture.
According to Tapo D230S1 specs it mentioned Head to Toe view, Is this an installation fault?? Another issue - I can speak to delivery guy at the door when I'm home, but when I am outside, I can see him at the door, but we cannot communicate. It's so difficult to contact Tapo support, they never answer. Appreciate your comments.
head to toe, caveat how far you stand from the doorbell 🤣
maybe you can check your phone settings first
@@AlexTeo Thanks for taking time to leave yr comment.
Hi Alex, I am sick of Tapo D230Si, it keeps messing up. Sometimes it records and sometimes don't. I am looking at changing to Ezviz EP3X Pro. The cctvs in my house are Ezviz brand. What is the purpose of solar panel in this EP3X doorbell? To re-charge the battery?? Can buy spare battery for standby? Look forward to your comments.
@@Ann-ny9lr yes to recharge the battery so that you don't need to remove it to charge. The battery are not removable, you cannot buy a spare battery for it
So which one is the best doorbell?

which of these doorbell can just use 3M tape to install without screws?
only arlo and google nest can't, but I don't recommend using 3M tape because it's most likely going to drop some day
