MT-S is a great radio. It has all the features you are going to want 99% of the time, and no fluff. Because, whether anyone wants to admit it or not, you just arent going to use 75-80% of the features on an MT-44 or an M12, or M17. Ergonomically, i think it is one of the best radios Sanwa makes. In terms of fitting multiple hand sizes, and shapes right out of the box, its the easiest to pick up and feel comfortable with. Sure the big radios have more adjustability, but the cost of entry for a little wheel placement tuning is just ridiculous. Plus, as mentioned, this doesnt carry the top heavy weight of the M12 (which i actually went back to eneloop AA's over LiPo, because it better balanced the radio top to bottom, even though it was heavier). And for my big hands my palm was to wide for an MT-44, and even the M17 is a little tight (hence why I ended up with an M12), no such issues with the MT-S. The only downside to the MT-S that I have found, and this is REALLY splitting hairs and probably doesnt apply to most people, is that the Radio has an issue with transmitting SSR signals to a compatible Servo. For some reason it actually introduces a delay. Now, for most people A: They dont know what SSR is, let alone what an SSR compatible servo is. B: I doubt many people that will be buying a $250 radio, will be pairing it with a $200 servo. C: If you dont know what SSR is, or what it feels like, youre not going to miss it anyway. And given that Sanwas protocols are very fast by default, and do nto limit a lot of features via price and tier gating like Futaba does, runnign in standard Digital mode is still a step up from a 3PV, or a 4PM with a cheap receiver that doesnt support any of the faster communication modes. I really hope Sanwa makes a replacement radio for this mid-range price point, because there is nothing else out there that can touch it in features, to performance, to cost.

I 100% agree!
Such a great radio. I've got a MT-44, MT-4S, and the MT-S and it stands up with any of them. I've got a backup for my backup, lol.
Always good to have a spare when they discontinue something good!
Does the MT-S work with a Castle Sidewinder 3?
Yes, should be good
