    Big Ruger fan. Have around 2500 flawless rounds threw my LC9s. It's a great EDC. Going to wait a minute on the P365 maybe further down the production line. Nice video brother!

      P365 is a workhorse. Close to 1k rounds though with zero issues. Shooting garbage through +p and nothing other than its small. Takes concentration to group

    Good video. Looks like the shield had the least amount of muzzle rise. I have a magguts +2 kit in my shield's flush mag for 9+1. Can't see parting with it for that Sig. Thanks for the comparison.

    It's crazy to be an early adopter when it comes to firearms. The original Ruger LC9 had a lousy trigger. Ditto for the original S&W Shield. The Ruger LC9s is a much better firearm than the original LC9 and the Shield2 is better than the original Shield. Wait a couple of years and the SigP365 will have ironed out it's bugs and the price will have come down. You can now get a new Ruger LC9s for about $270. I paid $329 for mine. I may buy a Sig in a couple of years, but in the meantime, my Ruger will be my pocket carry. What no one has asked is how heavy is the Sig when it's loaded with a 10 round magazine let alone a 12 round magazine. I can tell you that my LC9s is at the top end of heaviness for a pocket carry.

      I know what you mean about the weight. When I started looking at the P365 (for next year), a crazy idea popped up, maybe not loading all 10 rounds in the Sig mag, so the pistol won't be so heavy.. LOL!
      After looking at the size of the P365 compared to the LC9s, I can see it's no smaller. So my desire to own a small 9mm Sig has cooled somewhat. Maybe in a few years I'll consider a smaller EDC in .380 cal. When I'm in my late 70s. :)

    My old cheap carry pistol was the Kel-Tec P11 and the trigger is a nightmare. However, it's spending all it's time doing back-up duty in the safe these days. Like a lot of other posters here, I like the ($254.75 in Yellow) Halo LC9s for EDC. After watching this video, I'm dying to get back to the range to check out the zero on my new night sights and the felt-recoil with the ($8 Amazon) Hogue 18403 HandAll Beavertail Grip Sleeve. Love this grip.. I really like the large dot on the new front sight, for my Old eyes.. ($66 Ebay) Tru-Glo TG231R2W Tritium Pro Night Sight.
    I don't like the larger magazine bottom-plate option for inside the waist band carry. It sticks out enough hang up on my shirt-tail, and it causes a little 'printing' that I don't need. My hands are medium sized, so I can still get a very good grip with shorter configuration. If I decide there's a need to carry an extra mag, I have one with the long tall option installed. :)

    Ticks me off to have bought the Shield and the LC9s in the past year before the P365 release. But at least I have stash guns now.

    i have the LC9s-Pro. i don't think it has a long pull or long reset like somebody else below. i like the gun, but i also like the shield9 too. i like them both. now it looks like sig may have out-done ruger & s&w. i'll have to see the p365 in person to really tell, but i'll tell you this... all of this matters to me and if i think the sig's better when i see it i'll buy it and sell the ruger. i want capacity and small size with quality + light weight.... it matters big-time to me. i carry it all day everyday all day long. it matters. thumbed it up!

    • @jaybeckerich4900
      @jaybeckerich4900  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      100% agree with you Martina! may the best gun win! I am not saying anything is wrong with the Ruger, I love the company, The trigger just wasn't the best fit for me. Would I trust my life with one? Heck yea! good luck to you and thanks for the input!

    • @martinadejaquiz2482
      @martinadejaquiz2482 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      jay: the 1 & only reason i bought the ruger instead of the shield9.... the ruger weighs 2OZ. less. i like the features of the shield9 better than the ruger, but the ruger is ok. i also like lots of other ruger products too. weight matters. i would put my life on all 3 of them, but if i can get 3 more rounds with the p365 i would like that. 11 rounds in that package is superior and worth the extra bullet weight IMO.
      years ago i considered a Kel-Tec PF-9. i know nothing about kel-tec and i heard bad reviews. having no kel-tec experience i had to pass on buying the gun because of not knowing. i trust sig ruger & s&w. thx4 everything!

      Yea I like the specs on the LC9! just wasnt my favorite gun to shoot at the time I bought the Glock 43. I agree that weight matters! It can be the difference of bringing the gun or leaving it at home. Take care of yourself Martina!

    On the SIG 365 ,,The real question: would you trust your daughters life to it?... If its not 100% reliable, It's a NO GO. the reason i'm looking is for a carry for my 21 yr old daughter, as I do research the glock 43 is the only one that seems to be 100% reliable. anyone else have an Idea for a micro carry for a young lady?

    I really dislike the long trigger pull of the Ruger LC9. From the looks of it, the Sig P365 trigger fires and resets with shorter pulls and releases. By the time I pull the LC9 trigger, I'm already off target compared to any other handgun I've ever fired.

      LC9? There is no comparison between the LC9 and the LC9s in regard to your points. This video is about the LC9s. I had an LC9 and hated it for the very reasons you stated but I wouldn't rule out trying an LC9s.

    6/ '18. CAUTION on 365 as a carry. Numerous 365 trigger- striker complete FAILURES reported all over TH-cam. Totally UNACCEPTABLE for such a higher priced firearm.
    I'll stay with my reliable, proven, comfortable Shield9. Cap is 9+1 flush mag.

    I own a Ruger LC9s Pro, a Glock 43 and a Sig P365. I have put about 500 rounds through the P365 and it is now back at the store on consignment. The weapon shot flawlessly, but I had many dislikes about it, #1 ergonomically for me it didn't naturally come up on target, When I hold that pistol in my hand, with the trigger finger alongside the barrel, when I point my index finger at the target, the sights don't like up with it, they cant to left.Didn't like the weight of the weapon with the extra rounds, pushed it over the envelope for pocket carry, didn't like the sand paper finish on the grips, didn't like the extra stiff magazine springs making the last 3 or 4 rounds a bitch to load. Didn't like the fact that there are so many horror stories about this pistols reliability, to it's up for sale at my LGS. Of those three weapons, the Ruger has the finest striker fire trigger I have seen, except for my Walther PPQ, but that's full sized pistol

    Haven't tried the p365 but I've shot the shield m2.0 and Ruger I'd say the shield got the lc9s pro just by a little but the price of the lc9s makes it the winner I can find the pro version for $270 and the safety version for $290 the Smith without the rebates or special promotion cheapest I found it was $430 for the 9mm version little bit more for the .40 the lc9s is good though just more snappier than the shield m2.0 last the shield trigger is a little better but overall both are good can't go wrong with neither that p365 nobody has I'm guessing I won't be able to check that one out until next year maybe

    Jay , keep up the good videos man about the 365 ,I got my 365 about week/half ago and have about 900 rounds down It and it’s ran flawless other then the first 10-15 mags didn’t lock back on empty .I also see you have not got the X-ray sights on yours yet... I just got mine today and man they are way better then sig lites , front sight is so much easier to acquire! Give Sig a call man and they will send you a new set of X-ray sights free of charge! Take it easy man

    I watched a vid of a guy comparing the Beretta nano to the Shield and I was astonished at how similar in size they are. The nano just looks tiny and the shield looks big and bulky from the side. I've been considering getting a new pistol for a while and I've narrowed it down to the Shield, LC9s and the Nano. The Nano has a $75 rebate right now and I found a place selling it for $314 but if I want the Nano I need to decide before the end of April since the rebate ends.

    The recoil on that Sig looks like he's shooting a 44. The shield is the better option, There's no doubt about that. I like my Hellcat better than the P365. But I find myself going back to my Shield 2.0. upgraded. Just feels great in the hand. Not too big, not too small.

    Thanks Jay! Great camera angles today at the range. I don't think I've ever seen the camera so close. Really feels like you're almost right there.
    The color fill looks wicked. Amazing that the Sig looks so close in size to the LC9s.

      Jay Beckerich haha, just playing with you bro. You know what i kind of like the P365 also because it got higher capacity than the other subcompact pistols like the g43 and the s&w shield. I sure would check it out when my local gun shop have them in stock. I have a Glock 43 and i really love it i carry it as a backup for my Glock 19...Love your videos brother. Keep them coming...:D
