Dave is behind all of Mori’s new music. He compliments Morissette very well. He does all the videography for her, he co-writes a lot of her music and assists in production while being a singer himself. Dave is half American/filipino and a son of missionaries. They actually have an orphanage in the Philippines. He’s a really kind hearted, humble, good dude. Most of all he supports Morissette and actually convinced her to write her own EP and produce it. Morissette is self managed now because of Dave and they partly own Underdog music productions which none of this would have happened if Dave wasn’t in her life. Sad to say, I think her father saw that his meal ticket was going her own way. Under her father, she was severely overworked by her management to the point of losing her voice multiple times while always insisting that Mori and Dave not be together. I put two and two together. If he cared about her then he would be supportive of her well being physically, and emotionally. I just don’t see that kind of support. Mori walked away from EVERYTHING to be with Dave. She left everything that she had earned to her family and started over again. I think that speaks volumes of how Mori is. I have tremendous respect for Mori and Dave. Dave is fully aware she gave up everything for him and he said on their wedding video that he’ll never take that for granted.

Ok as a 66 year old father of three let me tell you a story on how I became a huge Morissette fan for the past 2 years.I was clicking through YT watching old Jon Jones mma fights and I came across this beautiful young lady singing, and the song was Akin ka na lang.I watched in awe what who is she? omg,so I started watching more videos learning her and her dad had a falling out over Dave which to me seems like a very good person.I came across a video several months later Morissette Amon Talks about her new single "Love You Still" (A song that she wrote for her Father)so I am watching it at 7:30 ish into the video she is crying holding her head in her hands, the song just came out on her phone she is listening to it.I am leaned back in my office chair tears streaming down my face pointing at my monitor"That's your song baby girl yes that's your song"it broke my heart like never before,it was if she was one of my kids.I cried the rest of the video just like now I am getting choked up thinking about it,her dad missed a golden opportunity to see his baby girl at a precious moment.That made me a very huge Morissette Amon fan to me here in Florida she is the "Queen of hearts" my 30+ song playlist is an everyday addiction with my coffee lol,#1 bucket list- meeting Morissette watching her live either in the states or I will fly to the Philippines it will happen.To me she is the Acme of singer, performer, and as a music lover I love this young lady she is special.🇺🇸 👍👍
Just a random FYI: There is no divorce in the Philippines, hence parents are extra protective when it comes to marriage. Mori's dad just want the best for her daughter I guess and he was hurt deeply when Mori moved out to live with now husband Dave Lamar. Dave is a good guy. He took the backseat and fully supports Mori in her career (he is also a musician). Like what the lyrics of this song says "Nobody's wrong, nobody's right". They are all good people and they love each other. Nothing can't be mended when there is love.

Right that parents only want the best for their kids. In Mori's case her dad deeply disapproved of the guy. After their marriage I already dont know what unfolded next except that it seems their marriage relationship is a happy one and that they maintain a good image with the public. What I dont understand is after a long while now why the father still keeps a deep grudge on the both of them and why it hasn't ended in a closure that it's like a lifetime curse and it likewise will be a lifetime of emotional pain.
I think it is very common for a dad to become protective of her daughter especially if his daughter has now found a new man in her life. It is also the same for a son and mother relationship, hence we always hear things or feuds between the mother and the wife, at least here in the Philippines.

Yeah, you’re missing a large piece of puzzle. This is more a parental control and money issue. I believe she wanted her own house, more control of her life and the parents thought differently. Dave was in the middle of the issue, but instead of keeping this in the family the “ father “ tried shame Morissette on social media but he shamed himself more. I don’t personally know Dave, but what I do know he is a Christian that helped Morissette convert her from parents religion the Roman Catholic Christian Church and Dave’s mom has non profit orphanage in the Philippines where they shot Dave and Morissette Vids. Check it out. Case in point the “ father “ left the family for a time. Yes there was a monitary payout to the parents) the concept of an adult is least important of the concept of part of the family here in the P. I’s this is what I believe. Peace God bless.
If my daughter is a talented as Mori, there is no f##kin' way I'll let her marry anyone, not until she has conquered the world of music, especially when I taught her everything I know and supported her all her life. A person like Mori has different purpose in life, if you will. She is no ordinary artist. She a generation artist. She should be or must be allowed to reach her greatness because she has the talent, knowledge (thanks to her dad), and dedication to do so. Marriage and then kids are just going to slow or stop her career. It's really sh1tty for Dave to do that to her. I feel bad for her dad.

Right that parents only want the best for their kids. In Mori's case her dad deeply disapproved of the guy. After their marriage I already dont know what unfolded next except that it seems their marriage relationship is a happy one and that they maintain a good image with the public. What I dont understand is after a long while now why the father still keeps a deep grudge on the both of them and why it hasn't ended in a closure that it's like a lifetime curse and it likewise will be a lifetime of emotional pain.
That’s so sad. Her dad should be the bigger man and accept what he daughter wants. After all she’s a grown women that is successful.
I think it is very common for a dad to become protective of her daughter especially if his daughter has now found a new man in her life. It is also the same for a son and mother relationship, hence we always hear things or feuds between the mother and the wife, at least here in the Philippines.

Before Mori leave her parents she bought them a 20m house and lot.
Yeah, you’re missing a large piece of puzzle. This is more a parental control and money issue. I believe she wanted her own house, more control of her life and the parents thought differently. Dave was in the middle of the issue, but instead of keeping this in the family the “ father “ tried shame Morissette on social media but he shamed himself more. I don’t personally know Dave, but what I do know he is a Christian that helped Morissette convert her from parents religion the Roman Catholic Christian Church and Dave’s mom has non profit orphanage in the Philippines where they shot Dave and Morissette Vids. Check it out. Case in point the “ father “ left the family for a time. Yes there was a monitary payout to the parents) the concept of an adult is least important of the concept of part of the family here in the P. I’s this is what I believe. Peace God bless.

If my daughter is a talented as Mori, there is no f##kin' way I'll let her marry anyone, not until she has conquered the world of music, especially when I taught her everything I know and supported her all her life. A person like Mori has different purpose in life, if you will. She is no ordinary artist. She a generation artist. She should be or must be allowed to reach her greatness because she has the talent, knowledge (thanks to her dad), and dedication to do so. Marriage and then kids are just going to slow or stop her career. It's really sh1tty for Dave to do that to her. I feel bad for her dad.
