Nah this is what would've happened: Everyone would fawn over him and make him into a 15 minute celebrity. Trump would invite him into the oval office and show him off as "a friend". He'd end up becoming a stage piece for Trump to try and win over Black America. After he loses the spotlight (which would be quick because this country is filled with A.D.D.), Trump'll kick him to the curb. Few years later he'll probably pop up again getting falsely arrested because America.

You're assuming he lives. He would most likely be shot first under the assumption of "he's gonna kidnap the child" then used as propaganda to say "See all these x are dangerous!" for more fear mongering fuel for fox news and an orange.
Nah he probably would have got the Waffle House treatment. A black man saved an entire restaurant from an armed shooter and after a month of public shaming by the media the White House eventually gave him a phone call and said thanks buddy. Then again this was a US citizen so who knows.
I can watch that video a million times and as a mother it still makes me hold my breath. That was and is awesome! Good job to the guy on the other side of the wall holding the little child up till he could be saved. I wanna shake this man's hand!!!!

He couldn't, there was a barrier plus he arrived when Mamoudou started climbing and if he had just tried to pull him out with one hand, he could've dropped the child due to the barrier and gravity

He’s a neighbor that saw the kid grabbing on so he was helping him by holding him with one hand until help came. There was a barrier between the balconies so he couldn’t pull the kid up without risking a fall
Probably so that in the worst case scenario, he could catch the kid and make sure he didn't land on/get impaled by the wrought iron fence.

This reminds me of another incident here in Jamaica. A guy I can't remember where he's from but he saved a boy being swept away by a flood. He also been given citizenship and offered a job. Happened last year.
