    I purchased one of these. Thanks to your comment about picking it up at the FedEx terminal, I was able to get it now instead of waiting for better weather. I live on a dirt road and mud season was starting, I don't think that a tractor trailer could have delivered it. They notified me that they didn't know how long they would be in stock. It is still on my trailer, I am waiting for warmer weather to put it together. At least I have one. Thanks for your videos, they helped me with my final decision on the brand. Can't wait to get it put together.

    Just got mine today. It came 4 days earlier then Fed Ex initially said. Funny enough the liftgate broke on the Fed Ex truck so we had to take it off piece by piece and ended up backing the semi trailer into a big snowbank to get the main frame section off, lol. Got it all put together and it came with a thumb that I did not order so it seems they throw people a freebie. Didn't get to run it today because I have to run to town to pick up the fluids for it but will upload videos on my channel soon. Videos and pictures don't do this thing justice, it is a beast in person.

    I would definitely have them send me a new fuel tank water is going to sit on top of that, and eventually make its way in the fuel

      @chickenhawkfarmstead8478  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your not wrong but I do keep a Canvas tarp over the engine and seat and I had a problem with it not lifting right and the sent me a new main Hydraulic cylinder then a switch control unit and a new hydraulic pump witch it ended up being the problem. The othere parts I got to keep. pluse they sent the 18 inch bucket too . So if I got to buy a new fuel tank, I think I am up in the deal.

    The way they did the shipping packaging just seems lazy. They could have put a cap on top then wrapped the sides with wide plastic wrap which would have at least protected the contents from the weather better.

    I purchased a HF trencher, I paid $2800. with shipping and taxes; around $600 on mods: total$3400. I've done a couple of jobs with it in which I saved about 1/2 that price. I have many jobs in future times which makes mine a good investment.

    Have you tried keeping it hooked up to truck to see if stays put? Noticed it pulls itself forward if you take to big of bite. Just curious if you can get a full bucket or just scratch at it.

      If it's near by and you can check it out in person. That price isn't bad. If it is the same brand they are pretty strong. And most things can be fixed for 300 or less. I would fill better with a price around 3000-3300. 3700 maby I'd its been keep inside or under a good tarp. And I don't care want any one with a harbor freight backhoe saids about price. this is made much better and with better and thicker steel.

    I have had the harbor freight trencher for about 4 years now. I probably have about 3 to 4 hundred hours on it and honestly, its just plain old worn out. I love the towable trencher idea, I like the design of the harbor freight one, I like the hydraulics and the engine. But god damn it............ why do the Chinese use CHEESE STEEL? I have broken both stabilizers, an axle, its real sloppy due to ob longed holes, and now I just tore the bucket apart like a sardine can. Its all due to bad welds and soft steel. Im thinking of just scraping it and buying this one or the DR trencher. The DR one is American and not made out of CHEESE STEEL but its twice the price. In your view so far is this one going to hold up over many years or do you think it is also going to suffer from Chinese steel?

    • @chickenhawkfarmstead8478
      @chickenhawkfarmstead8478  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not had it very long. I will say they have solved alot of the Harbor freight complaints. I have another video talking about some of the differences between them. I don't think i am in love with then engine but that can be replaced easily. But there is nowhere i can say they skimmed on the steel. If there is some parts or place you would like to see better let me know and i can make a video showing more of it.

      My HF bucket broke too. I ordered another one and added reinforcement steel/welds to it, that beefed it up a great deal. I just ordered and received another bucket. I cut the teeth off so I could use it to dredge ditches and uncover my septic tank when it's time to service. When I ordered mine I also ordered extra pins, filters and I got a couple extra cylinders...I'd rather have them on hand and ready to use. I would rather have the 2 joystick option though. Are the hose fittings on this machine SAE or metric?
