What an awesome video Nick!! You are an absolute "A" list drummer and musician and I am such a huge fan of you, and your playing sir.! I got a spot call last Thursday for a drum gig with the show in 2 days, Saturday, to learn 36 songs of millennial covers (with tracking) with 3, 12 song set lists of which 33 of those songs I've never heard before for a festival of 3,500-4,000 fans and it went very well. Cheat sheeting and constant listening got me through. As drummers, that's our game and it is so cool to see how you handled that pressure with such class and precision in front of so many fans! It's funny how once we hit the stage, the butterflies fly away and we play our best at that moment as you just did with the fan reaction to a great performance always being the reward! Thank you for posting all you post Nick! You are truly an inspiration personable professionally. Have an awesome, fun, rocking tour and I hope that your return flights go much smoother on your way home!! 😊

Nick, you inspired me to pick up the sticks 3 years ago after being away from the kit for 27 years. It's not easy being a blind drummer and even though I chew up more wood than a beaver, I'm having fun playing rock & roll on my Gretsch Catalina 7 piece Maple. I'm not sure how long Mr. Big will be on tour and if you will make it to the east coast of Canada or not or perhaps if you and Big Big Train will, here's hoping you'll make it to Newfoundland Canada and we'll have a chance to meet.

Hi Nick, I've been following your sweetwater drums review videos for years now and I have to tell you they are the best on the net. I also want to tell you that you are a great drummer. But my friend, the task you have now with MR. BIG is monumental. For me it was the revelation band of the late 80's and early 90's, with some exceptional musicians. I forgot to tell you that I have also been playing drums for a long time, and that Pat Torpey became my favorite drummer. I learned a lot listening to his records, and above all, that there are different ways of playing. You have to honor his memory and his playing style. Don't opt to simplify his fills, make them like he did them. I know you have your own style, but you have to do your best and try to get their sound and style back. I'm glad you got the gig and please honor Pat's memory. PD. Do not forget the 16th notes on the hi hat at the beginning of "adicted to that rush" 😉😉
