Why does every NDV video feel so good and like you could sit with the guy and have a beer? He has that open and positive vibe all the time. Amazing drummer and very cool vlog! Thank you for posting this!
Nick… I caught you guys in PA (drove roughly 3 hrs) and so glad I did. My wife, oldest son and I were blown away. The last time I saw Mr.Big, they opened for Rush. Being a drummer myself, I was so excited to hear what you did with the tunes by making them your own but also staying true to Pat’s tracks. Keep rockin’!
Yo Nick ! Loved your documentary covering the Mr. Big Tour. What's it like to play with Billy ? Love the Black DW'S. They do sound incredible. 🥁 Hope you shook that germ ,and feeling better. Keep it coming Nick. GOD BLESS 🙏
Been following your vids since Mr Big’s tour in Asia. Love how you communicate with your fans (like me) and your vids production are getting better & better. I’ve checked out a lot of your older vids and you inspire me as a drummer (playing since 1995) with your versatility + singing. You really rock NDV. I think I deserve to buy your signature sticks when they arrive in Malaysia 🇲🇾 😂
Excellent, top notch musicianship. I LOVE your work with Spock's Beard. You are a great vlogger, documentary producer. Thank you for the behind the scenes view. I want to see the show more than ever now. 🤘🤘
Paul Gilbert gets it. The ocean heals. Living near Austin now, I don’t get ocean surf as much. Wave pools are great but nothing beats the ocean. I’ll manifest more touring by an ocean this year 🥁🏄🏻♂️🤘🏻
Thank you so much for these videos. I know it's got to be a lot of work to film and edit them, but we, the fans, so appreciate them! I was at the Nashville show, and it was wonderful. And I'm really hoping for a Blu-ray and/or DVD from this tour! 🤞
Love your tour vlogs,Nick!! You’re a BEAST behind the kit,and your playing is very inspiring!! So cool to see the videos of the back line kits and how you adapt to them!!
Thanks for sharing. I will be in the show in Brazil - Rio de Janeiro. I´m big fan of your work since Spock's Beard Band. Thank you Nick. God bles you all.
Super cool to see you rocking with Mr. Big, Nick. I've been a fan of yours for over 20 years since the early Spock's Beard days. Lately I've been wanting to get back into drumming, and your Sweetwater videos made me choose my new drumset: got myself a Roland TD27kv2 for my apartment and I can't wait to get back into playing. Thanks for all the vocal and drumming inspiration throughout these years.
Thanks for sharing Nick!! No easy task to making feel good a band of this size on stage and off stage too for sure . Lots of respect and admiration. Can't wait for the Mexico City show. 👊🥁
Thank you for sharing, Nick! It seems the setlist is a bit different from what it was in Japan last year. I am very looking forward to seeing you guys in May one last time... This year is the 30th anniversary of seeing MR.BIG shows for me and I cannot believe this is going to be it.
Nick...Love the tour vlog! I've been watching them since you started in Japan! Keep them coming! I was at the Orlando show, I agree that was a weird venue in a strip mall & still under construction! Great show, you killed it. Looks like you are enjoying every minute of this tour. I'm proud of how you have taken ownership of the drum roll & how you continue to blow everyone away each night!
thanks for letting us see this nick ! i got about 12 grand worth of drum equipment from sweetwater thanks to u! my ex-wife isn’t pleased but sure am !! big fan of yours !!
Excellent drumming on Shyboy. I can't believe it's been so many years since that song came out. First heard it on a cassette recording. You are an excellent fit for the band. Great video
The rooster cut away makes me happy. You have a great gift within and a great gift in performing with such talented musicians. You are drumming, singing, and performing at such a very high level. I do not overlook this Mr. Big's "vlogging" significance. Thank you for sharing. Btw I believe they spelled yamaha wrong on your black hat lol. All black face to the camera outfit looks sharp and your drums sound absolutely great.
thanks for sharing this, Nick! Very nice tour vlog, and such an interesting range of venues! Sorry about your being sick, hope you felt better quickly. The drums and cymbals sound awesome, really sound good on all those different rooms you were in.
Nick, I hope you feel better soon bud! You seem ok though so that is good! Congrats on this gig and it gives me hope that if I work hard enough I will find a band one day and be able to tour!
The Rock Island festival band you forgot was Wig Wam....a really terrific group from Norway whose songs have more huge hooks than any band from that 80's era...if they had been from America they would have been huge.....I've been a fan for years....Thanks for sharing your road experiences
Nick, two questions for you and one of them is regarding a pattern in this video First, let me say thanks for sharing this tour vlog with us. It's great stuff. 1. What is the hand-foot pattern you're playing at 14:40? You then play it again at 33:35. I remember hearing Pat T lay that same thing down when I first heard Colorado Bulldog. It's a very cool lick with tons of tension in it. 2. On an unrelated note: I'm getting a Ludwig Supraphonic. Should I go LM400 or LM402? (asking 'cause I saw that you did separate Sweetwater videos on both drums. Maybe do one comparing one vs. the other???) Thanks, man! I caught the show in Dallas. You and the band were phenomenal! I was fortunate to see Pat with the band many times. First time was Mr. Big opening for Rush in San Antonio, TX. I think it was the Presto tour.
Awesome ! Could you please tell me how long is the gooseneck for your mic ? and are you happy with this mic in comparison to a Shure Beta 56 A ? many thanks !
I think the length is 19”? It is the longer of the two options. The Beta 56 is a great mic but it’s very bright which is not great with drum bleed. The Telefunken has a nice clear tone and the bleed is pleasant. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Awesome Vlog Bro! So happy for ya 🤘
Why does every NDV video feel so good and like you could sit with the guy and have a beer? He has that open and positive vibe all the time. Amazing drummer and very cool vlog! Thank you for posting this!

I’d love to have a beer with nick he seems like an awesome guy
Saw him at the Ryman and he absolutely killed it
I met him at a Mr. Big concert in Ljubljana. He is such a cool and nice person. Those were a few awesome minutes :D
Just met him last night in MI and he was awesome! Really cool dude to hang with
Great vlog. Mr. Big still rocking. I hope they'll come to Turkey to rock

One of my favorite bands of all time and Paul Gilbert is my favorite guitarist!
He is a beast!
Counting down the days for your arrival in the bay area (SF) on 5/17! It has been WAY too long! 👄👠❤ The 415 is ready to rock with you!! 💯 🎩 🔥
Wow- you guys are definitely playing a variety of venues. Sometimes the smaller venues are the most fun, for the audience AND for the band!
Sooooooo bummed I missed you in the Boston area but so glad to have found your vlog . . . I was Paul's drummer in 1983!
Paul Gilbert gets it. The ocean heals. Living near Austin now, I don’t get ocean surf as much. Wave pools are great but nothing beats the ocean. I’ll manifest more touring by an ocean this year 🥁🏄🏻♂️🤘🏻

@@NDVirgilio absolutely , I had to. couldn't miss it
Great vlog! Is that M80SH? I bought it after seeing your drum vocal mic comparison.
Yes, it is! You bought a good one
oh mann, killin!!
welcome new groover i supposed? great tribute to Pat u did, made that shit look easy, but we know its much more than that!
Yes, not always easy. Even the simpler tunes. But always fun!
That glass room must be every system and sound engineers nightmare.
will they be com ing to Calgary anytime this tour? I have followed them since they started and never seen the b and live except on video
Still hoping a Phoenix date gets added into one of those few gap days between Cali and Colorado in May
Not sure about that but we can both hope. Cheers!
That Cincinnati venue is an odd looking joint! Looks like quite the variety of venues across the board on this tour actually.
We are getting all kinds but that’s the way it goes. We rock no matter what 🤘
Nick est un super batteur...qui fait le job..👍👍..j'adore
Thank you!!!
Was there ever a part two? ❤
Hey Nick. I’ve noticed that you use different mics for every venue. Is there a reason you guys don’t carry a drum mic pack for consistency?
Mr. Tears For Big 💜🤟❤️👍🤘💋
Big Train

Never knew this band was still around haha
Alive and Kickin!
Are the crowds a bunch of robots? Good lord
Yes!! I saw U2 in Houston in 90 something🤦♂️. T deadest concert I've ever, to this day, seen. And for comparison, I've seen Beck😂
Those toms lose presence tuned low in theaters.
